This is exactly why I'll always trust and respect your opinions, you are NOT afraid to like bad movies, you're not some pretentious CZcamsr who forgets you're allowed to have fun with simple cliché bad movies, seriously it's so fresh to watch how genuine and honest you are with your reviews
yeasss ❤
this is exactly how i feel. i watched it and while i agree it isn’t a great movie, it was still pretty good and enjoyable for me. came home to find out the entire internet hated it 😭 but idc, i liked it and had so much fun watching it
Honestly when you said you wanted a spin off of all the monsters- it reminds me of how I want a spin off of Thirteen ghosts going into each of the ghosts backstories! I can’t wait to watch Tarot, keep the reviews coming- I love to hear what you think of all the movies!
apparently they’re doing a series on all the ghosts! we’ll see if it ever comes to fruition
I wanted to see more of the monsters in this joint & was hoping it was more similar to 13 ghosts
@@PossessedbyHorrori've seen that for years now but idk if it will ever actually happen.
I'm glad to hear a more positive review for this film! There's nothing wrong with enjoying bad movies and tbh it sounds like I'd like this film too because of the tarot card aspect. One of my favourite 'bad' movies has to be Thir13en Ghosts!
Thir13en Ghosts is not bad 😕
Thirteen Ghosts isn't a bad movie... if that's your definition of bad then you must hate every horror/thriller movie
@@quotethenovanevermore9565Nah, Thirteen Ghosts is a terrible movie lol. The editing in that movie alone makes it unwatchable in my opinion
@@g.c.4824yeah it is lol but thats ok. :)
@@g.c.4824 I personally don’t consider it bad but I’ve seen many people who do!
I really loved Truth or dare ever since it came out, it's nonsensical and goofy but it's soooo much fun that i even saw it 3 times at the theatre
Agreed! I just want horror movies to be fun and that one was
Truth or Dare was fun, was hoping for a sequel, tbh.
My favorite "Bad" movie is definitely, Catwoman (2004) with Halle berry, its pure nostalgic for me!
Omg! I love that movie. It gets so much hate. It’s definitely a comfort movie for me ❤
@@voodoochild7533 same, It definitely brings me back. People honestly just over hate it.
@@anthonycheatham2292 I had a dude on Reddit GO OFF on me for saying I liked that movie. I’m just like…”Sir, just say you’re unemployed. It’s ok!” 💀💀
“Man sandwich, 3 o’clock” 😂😂😂
@@madamejaysynstarot I love youuuu lol
people shit on 13 ghosts but that movie and it's extras always stuck with me lol
nah that movie is soooo good unironically honestly
I loved Th13teen Ghosts! Such great story telling pace and creativity
It should be a series 💯
Still watch that movie ❤
Original?
I'm looking forward to "in a violent nature" "cuckoo" and "I saw the tv glow"
so excited for these too!!!
The Happening is M. Night's best dark comedy he ever put out. It's hilarious. I don't think I was supposed to explode in laughter during the kills.
It’s 100% a good bad movie!
The Happening is GOLD 😂
*Plan on murdering me in my sleep? What! No!" 😂😂
I love the cat in the hat with Mike Myers
Wait…that movies bad? I’ve been watching since a a young child it’s like peak cinema for me 😭🤚🏾
@@yoogurt2395 ME TOOO!! Ever since I got on the internet everyone sh*ts on it and I love it sm
That movie was so bad the Dr Seuss estate said they could never make another live action movie based on his work ever again. Glad you enjoy it though. Everyone likes some 'bad' movies I think.
Omg, that "in the sense" gif was so unexpected, I rewinded and laughed 10 times.
LOL I couldn’t help myself
When Haley said that love was gonna be the death of her, I genuinely thought that in the end, Grant was going to be possessed Jack Torrance-style and go after Haley as she's trying to read The Astrologer's reading... Imagine if this was the direction they took and Haley ended up killing Grant out of self-defense (even as like a fakeout). I honestly would've liked if they did this, it could've given the story a lot more emotional gravity.
Repo! The Genetic Opera and Velocipastor! The latter is so self aware that I get sucked into the fun the creators had when making it, and Repo is just nostalgic for the goth teen in me that watched it at 17 and absolutely loved it.
Velocipastor 100%, would watch again. Haven't seen Repo! But probably should.
Velocipastor is genuinely such a fun comedy movie it's one of my favs
Everything you said about Tarot is how I felt. It was bad but as an astrology girly, I loved it so much ❤❤❤
I love how you are blunt and honest. One of the main reasons I subbed to your channel.
oh absolutely go into the character designs of the tarot cards. I'd watch the hell out of a video like that.
yes please
I was waiting for you to review this, I was unsure if I wanted to go see it or not, but now I will!
happy mother’s day!! i’ve been watching your videos for years now and i think it’s been so interesting to see how motherhood has affected your taste and views of certain movies…love your content and this video! i hope you have a great day💕
This is all good to know going in. I wish it weren't so cliche- I get it, but it would be cool to watch a movie where the monsters are like King of Swords, the Chariot, the Priestess, The Sun, The Fool... just NOT the Devil and Death ^^; The High Priestess & Fool sound cool in this movie!
Can’t wait to see this now!! …and love your necklace!! :D
I am looking forward to seeing Tarot even more because of your review! I have love for the silly goofy semi-bad but fun horror. Also loving your new haircut
omg you know what I have to recommend your channel to one of my friends. He has the exact same liking bad horror movies taste as you do. I watched this in theater with him and I was in pain for the whole 92 minutes. And he just enjoyed this movie so much 😂😂
I love that you love Cinema Joe bc you two are both my fav creators!!
This review was unique, honest, and very detailed. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Omg it just hit me, the tarots are giving also 13 ghosts 😮
My favorite bad movie: I, Frankenstein. It's one of my favorite movies ever. I love gargoyles. It's really that simple. Gargoyles fighting for Jesus? Ya got me! 😂🤦🏾♀️
The 'right kind of bad' hits home for me. I can watch just about any horror movie that looks faded and unfinished that is set around a body of water, for example, but I can't handle anything but the very best of 1930-40's screwball comedies.
Have you seen Comedy of Terrors with Vincent Price? I adore old horror/mystery and I really enjoyed this one
I would love chats about tarot and oracle from you! I too have multiple decks and love the readings I can get from the different energies they have
I’ll watch it just because I love tarot/horoscopes/astrology and it’s up my alley. I’ve also seen all your book reviews and would LOVE to see a video on your favourite all time horror/sci fi books!
I agree with you completely on this, I was expecting to not like this movie but the creature designs and actual tarot card elements made it so fun! It kept it interesting to see how all the different cards would look brought to life. I had no idea Trevor Henderson worked on this but it makes sense now why the monster designs were so good.
Omg I just saw it last night and I was waiting for your review before watching it but I couldn't wait anymore. I'm so happy you liked it. I loved it. Mainly because of the entities. I loved the hanging man. I thought he was so creepy. This is why you are my favorite CZcamsr. You never disappoint me ❤
I appreciate this review from you, and it's cool to know you're into tarot too. Great timing too because I was wondering about this movie, mostly about how the cards are implemented in terms of meaning. I really hate how Death is seen as death in the general consensus. I'm not into bad movies so I wish that some day they would make a very serious, in depth creepy movie about tarot and their actual meanings.
my favorite bad movie is my bloody valentine 3D! Also love everytime you shoutout cinema joe, he’s the best!!
Will definitely check this movie out. Awesome channel by the way.
I have not seen this movie yet but I'm still looking forward to it
We’ve been here long enough to know that Sarah enjoys a good cheesy, bad, teen horror flick! Great review :)
I appreciate your reviews. You appreciate the good and the bad lol I’m the same way. I think campy horror is fun
Thank you for this review!!
I've been debating whether or not I wanna see it in the cinema because of what I had heard.
But you liking it (while still acknowledging it's technically bad/generic), gives me hope. I'm a huge Tarot cards nerd, that's why the title alone caught my eye. And astrology can be fun too. So just hearing that at least 1 person liked it, is a sign that I might have a good time. Can't say I loved the Bye Bye Man or Polaroid but I didn't hate them. I enjoyed some of the silliness. And this one has a much more interesting topic. So maybe knowing in which areas it's bad, I can go into it focusing on the good parts.
Can't wait to see the cards! Thank you for sectioning of the spoilers in this video.
I knew you were going to like the film the moment I saw the trailer for it. I remember thinking "that is a movie Sarah is going to enjoy a lot". It actually reminds me quite a bit of 13 Ghosts (and that's why I suspected you might like Tarot) having a variety of villains that pick off the main cast. Honestly I am quite stoked about the film myself being a major lover of tarot cards from a young age.
As far as bad movies I enjoy I have so many: Truth or Dare, Sorority Row, the Wrong Turn franchise, Boogeyman 2 but a bad movie I want to share with you and the rest that I actually quite enjoy is a slasher film from 2002 called Wishcraft. It's about a nerdy guy who receives a magic totem that can grant him wishes and every time he makes a wish a classmate of his gets brutally murdered in (quite honestly) very creative and fun ways. I don't want to spoil much because there would be nothing of redeeming value that would be left from the movie so I do recommend people go in blind. It is currently on streaming on Tubi for free.
Have you reviewed The Coffee Table? I figured I'd ask before scrolling all the way back lol Thanks. Love your content, I'm a new sub! Wish you the best and congrats on the new born.
seeing that kelly osbourne clip come up was so funny oml
I LOVED Tarot! It was so enjoyable and such a great surprise! Not perfect in any way but super fun
Finally, someone who agrees with me. I’ve been looking at all the other reviews and they’ve all been negative. You were the first one I came across that was positive.
13:18 I would love to see you do makeup for these!! Maybe a Halloween special?
I’m surprised and delighted that you liked this movie. I liked it too!! You’ve my #1 horror creator and to hear that you enjoyed a ‘bad’ movie that I also enjoyed doesn’t make me feel as wrong for liking it 😅
I kind of liked what they were going for with the endling. The Daughter grieving her mother helped the mother grieving her daughter to move on. But it is executed hamfistedly so doesn't really work.
Her tarot arguably did come through as love lead to death (the Tarot version of endings and new beginings)
I agree with your overal assessment though, people get hung up on films being good or bad when enjoyment can be found regardless.
I getcha. There's this horror movie called Rigor Mortis, I don't even like the film but the creature design and the cool 10 minute finale are breathtaking. I bought the dvd to rewatch the ending when I want.
my favorite bad movie is sucker punch! :P
I feel validated by this review because I absolutely had a blast when I saw it in theater.
Henderson’s art reminds me of Layers of Fear.
LOVE 🖤
I think it would be cool to see you look back at some of your old videos to where your opinions on a movie has changed and critique your own original review! Like a reaction style video where you debate your previous opinion against your new one for movies that you have grown to love or hate!
Just found you and started following you. Your reviews are so spot on! I completely agree about Imaginary I couldn't finish it and I wondered why waste the money on making it, I do hope BlumHouse does pick up again I am very much about looking at the horror brands before choosing what to watch and lately, I have not really seen any ORIGINAL horrors that has jumped out yet that worth the money spent on watching and supporting the film, though I did love Talk to me and Late Night with the Devil, not because I am Australian supporting Aussie filmmakers.
It is feeling more lets make any horror quickly and cheap and run with the profits without giving some thought into whether it has been thoughtful and artfully crafted.
I am writing and producing a supernatural horror film based on a historic context, I am curious what elements do you think in 2024 that you would want to see more in supernatural horrors? I love Tarot cards too and I am looking forward to seeing it.
Thanks
i know Th13teen Ghosts is bad but i love everything about it. the house, the ghosts, the family, Matthew Lillard, everything
100% agree with this review. 3/5 stars and a Love. Spookies is my favorite bad movie of all time.
This one was fun! I’ve never seen anything with the same concept and for PG-13, the gore and monsters were pretty cool!
glad the eyebrows are back!
Glad to hear you liked the movie! I agree, the look of the cards and seeing them come to life was the best part. And the book is free on kindle!
Honestly some of the most fun I’ve had in a theater in some time! Can’t wait to pick up the blu-ray
Seems like a movie I'd watch on a miserable winters day
I enjoyed this movie as well. I had fun with it. It reminds me of 1999/early 2000s horror films. Great review!
i gave this movie 4/10, but it became an instant comfort movie that will be regularly rewatched without a single doubt
Are those vhs behind you? Would love a video of what you have in your collection
same! I love checking her physical media collections for new recs
I was so interested in this movie, then the closer it was to being released I wasn’t anymore, but your review got me re-interested. Kind of reminds me of Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, which is one of my fav movies lol
omg yes same!! if you liked that I think you’d like parts of Tarot but by all means wait for streaming if you’d like haha
If you have Kindle Unlimited it looks like Horrorscope is available to read. Great review by the way 😊
Everyone gives Glass a hard time, but I love how it works with the other two movies in the trilogy.
I actually liked Glass
just saw it in theatres and i was pleasantly surprised. had some solid cool kills and jump scares.
Actually really enjoyed this one but then I’m more biased since I enjoy tarot and learning about the horoscopes 😊
i am so happy that someone else found this movie fun even with the painful comedic relief moments 😭😭😭 like i love gimmicky movies, but the comedy...idk, not a big fan of it in horror movies like this...
Drag Me to Hell. I have never seen a movie so far off its rocker, but I can't wait to show it to all of my friends.
I couldn't get past two major plot holes that took me totally out of the movie. First, the cops found "no foul play" in the first death? The girl was repeatedly smashed with a ladder. She didn't just do that to herself, and even if it fell on her once naturally it wouldn't have been that hard. Second, why did they still have the keys to the mansion they rented when they went back to it? They stayed for their full trip.
One of my favorite things to do is watch the bad horror movies on Hulu while I crochet. 😂
This sounds like a perfect Friday night movie for me. Thanks for your review, always appreciate your point of view!
We went over weekend and watched Tarot, I personally like it as well. I have many tarot and oracle decks myself. I was super excited to see this movie, just didnt appreciate the humor seemed displaced to me.
Where did you get your shirt??? I love it!
I found it on depop a while ago!
the first thing i did after leaving that theater as fast as possible, was go look up the monsters in this move. absolutely hated this movie but the monsters were sooo awesome. loved the article on them, wish they weren’t wasted on this movie 😔
I read tarot and oracle as well 🙏🏽✨🦋 I was slightly worried about this movie tbh but I’ll give it a go
I mean don’t expect 100% accuracy but the cards are beautiful and to see them come to life was incredible!
When I saw this and we got to the feature actor, I was just like “damn it, Sally. Here we go again I guess” 🤣
Me running over to Bloody Disgusting to read that article about his concepts 🏃♂️
the death card is scorpio (ryans sign i think sorry if its wrong haha) & sagittarius is temperance & the moon card is pisces🖤
im a dreaded gemini & thats the lovers card. which i think makes a lot of since if you venture past pop astrology telling you gems are the worst but to each their own!
Darkness Fall and Wes Craven’s They are two that aren’t good but I find fun and comforting for some reason. Maybe nostalgia.
I also really enjoyed this film even though i knew it was a great film!… I have a few movies that I love but I just know they’re bad. 47 meters down uncaged , spiral , follow me , hell fest , escape room! I could go on but there is nothing wrong with liking what you like!
Hell fest!! Hardly anyone talks abt this
Favorite bad movie is Ghost Rider with Nicolas Cage. When it came out my 12 year old mind was blown. I thought it was the coolest thing I ever watched. Saw it like 3 times in the theater lmao.
Cute shirt!
We have very similar taste. Theres some movies most people think are bad that i like. There are movies people insist i watch and i can't stop asking why.
Just saw this movie last night and I felt everything as a you described it. It wasn’t bad to the point where I felt like I wanted to leave in the middle of showtime. It had its moments where I genuinely had a bit of a scare. I definitely agree with your comment on the comic relief attempts. The movie could’ve done ok with less of it. And it could’ve strayed away from confusion if that character just got off’d ‘cause the explanation of how he survived was not satisfying at all, especially when they are dealing with supernatural entities. His “redemption” arc at the end could’ve been saved for the remaining survivors cause both of them had more redeemable qualities. It was a chance to explore and develop their characters cause they were introduced to us as “recently broken up”. All in all, it was a fun popcorn movie.
I’m a MST3K & RiffTrax fan, so I am all about bad movies. But they have to be riffable! Some movies are so bad they can’t be riffed. My MST3K faves are Doctor Mordrid & Jungle Goddess. On Rifftrax, anything riffed by Brigid Nelson & Mary Jo Pehl! They are hilarious! Try She Demons, or Devil Girl from Mars! On the topic of regular bad movies, though, I’d have to say my favorite guilty pleasure is Stay Alive with Frankie Muniz. Again, sort of a Final Destination vibe.
I love horror comedy it reminded me of cabin in the woods and I just knew you were going to like it too
We want a video on the cards
Welcome to the guilty pleasure movie club, Tarot! The Bye Bye Man and Truth or Dare welcome you with open arms.
I’m pretty sure it was removed from sale in the 90’s. I read it as a teen and then couldn’t find it again.
Will you be watching the new Strangers movie?
yes and a review to come!
I heard that movie is terrible too 😭
The Hermit reminds me of the Ferryman that you see in the Conjuring.
Yeah. For the longest time people have been saying The Craft is a bad movie. And I’m like what are you talking about.
Horror movies that are so ridiculously cheesy usually end up being so bad that they’re good.
Horror movies with a cheesy plot line that try to be serious usually end up bad.
I loved Tarot. It’s definitely rewatchable when you’re wanting a goofy scare, like the Bye Bye Man.
Do you have a video about your top-whatever gorey (gory? 'good gore') movies?
the band Mommy Long Legs has a really fun song called Horrorscope as well
I agree with every word!
I agree with your take on the movie! Those monsters were awesome!
Hot take: Halloween 3 is great!! 🎃 🧙♀️ 👹
mentioning the haunting of molly hartley sent me waaaay back 😂 i ate that movie up as a kid
Not the Kelly Osbourne gif lol ☠️
Loved it
