Steve is a character I never really hated. He was a character that felt normal, like, what teenager _wouldn't_ act like him? Plus he had a huge crush on Claire, like, who'd blame him?
Tbh Steve is better than the majority of the teens at my school!
Steve was also better in the love department, because I heard some of the boys at my school bragging about cheating on their partners

Same here. I think the novel version really explained it well. He's just a dumb teenage boy that crushed on a badass girl around his age.
No f*cking way, Steve acts more like a 10 year old trying to be cool and edgy than a teenager. No teenager I've ever met was this cringy
Steve's ultra stiff turning animation and Claire calling him a little boy is the funniest part about Resident Evil.
Not to mention Claires "oh I need those, give them to me" 😂 it's so patronising it makes me laugh every time.

Fun fact: in the novelization of Resident Evil Code Veronica, even Claire mentions that Steve reminds her of "that actor from the Titanic movie" when she first sees him. It was a nice DiCaprio reference.
She also comments on how he thinks himself as some video game hero, when noticing his overconfidence.

Well, Steve was forcefully mutated. Piers chose to mutate himself. But the partner protection is still there lol.

@@slashmator6065 nah, re1 please in the style of 2. As good of a game as re2 remake is, its a bad remake. Any remake that cuts content cant be a good remake unless it adds enough meaningful content to replace what was cut (lets also not even mention the B scenario).

I always cry during Steve’s death scenes… I cry even more on Code Veronica than Dark side Chronicles. Especially when he tells Claire he loves her, I always kinda always wished he kissed her or at least got some kinda kiss before he died.

@@felisasininus1784 is he childish and corny? Sure but he's dependable and constantly goes out of his way to protect Claire at all times. Despite him and Claire being in horrible circumstances he still Manages to try and make light of it trying to be positive to keep Claire from getting discouraged.
Besides His looks, his "I'll be your knight in shining armor" personality combined with the fact that he'd probably put himself in any danger if it meant protecting Claire makes him attractive imo

I've been playing this game since it came out. I never knew he said those things to Claire depending on how many zombies he's killed. I've always mowed down all the zombies in that area. Thats pretty awesome.

Steve was a nice refreshing after very OG re characters like Leon, Jill ect. And as a side character i put him on the same level as Carlos
They made Steve look like Leon in his remaster LOL I always liked Steve in the games XD
Personally I don't mind if it's retconned that he survived somehow due to the virus. Wesker used to be a corpse himself at the end of the 1st game & was revived. But if he is brought back, it be interesting to let his mutation give him unique gameplay mechanics.

I honestly liked steve, whilst sure he isn't a favourite or anything, the reality is, he is just a kid who had a rough time and has issues trusting people because of this. He actually does a lot for claire and i liked his little side story too.

I've always liked Steve and even now I still want him to come back. He could be similar to Alexia, where she was put on ice for some years. As for his attitude I always figured he acted the way he did to put up a strong front because of his and Claires distrust. As the longer they were together, the more Steve seemed to calm down.
So even if they stress that he's dead as long as it's not straight out confirmed, I'm gonna hold out hope. Plus, this lets me make fanfiction of him easier ;p

@@rolandmendozain He’s not actually ’dead’ but because he was sentenced to death(court martial), he had to disappear after RE: 0. If they bring him back, he’ll be about the same age as Chris Redfield, roughly around 50ish.

Depends. Some people has that kind of a determination or guts..I dunno what to call it lol but they're strong willed.
Leon drinks a lot in one of the films I think, so maybe that’s just how they’re choosing to show it.

Personally, I think he still would have ptsd, I don’t have any specific examples of symptoms but most of the situations in the games would surely cause some distress.

Darn I miss CV so much. Really hope Capcom does a remake on this one too.
And please, Capcom, make the sniper rifle an infinite unlockable that can be used from the start instead of just a temporary weapon to fight the Nosferatu.
They should definitely remake CV before 4. I'd still prefer to see 3 get an extended edition first though.

Whats the fun in having a unlimited weapon in games like that!? Better play a FPS already.. it removes all the fun, no chance of dying or getting any trouble. Too easy games aren't fun.
Steve was like a soap opera in one day. He made you laugh cry and be annoyed. I thought he was cute and probably thought he had only one shot at a girl which happened to be claire. Classic teenager.

I always find it cringey when Steve was saying I love you to Claire, even if he was dying. I mean they literally just met. But then again, he was basically just a teenager and teens usually do those awkward stuff.
I feel bad for Steve. Sometimes I think Steve was a replacement for Leon on Code Veronica. Since they dont want to kill Leon off because of his popularity so they replace him with Steve.
You’re right he was! ＾＾ Steve was put into the game for exactly that reason. I think the same thing happened with Piers (but Piers wasn’t created specifically for dying instead of Chris).

Steve in Darkside Chronicles had excellent eye for detail.
I'd love to see one on Piers. Considering he's in the Marhawa Desire, both plays, and mentioned in Rev2 several times, there's hopefully enough to dig up. He's one of my absolute favorites and I'm forever sad we might not see him again.

This is probably just a coincidence, but in regards to Steve's collar having the number 808 on it, there was a 3 part anime series called Cyber City Oedo 808. The 3 maim characters in it were criminals who were working for the police to reduce their prison sentences and wore explosive collars that would be detonated if they fell out of line.
I doubt it has anything to do with it, but you never know.

Why steves death is so powerful I feel is in the first 3 games partner characters don't die sure Chris Jill Rebecca and barry can die depending on the player's actions in the first game but in canon, they survive I couldn't believe it when it happened I expected him to Survive.
He was the Man of bloodline , the mighty steve who could've been a good dad for claires child, but destiny changed and chris should find a true person for redfield leaniage

I don't know if original Steve's look was purposely made to look like Leonardo DiCaprio, but everyone I ever met who played the game on Dreamcast, myself included, instantly noticed the similarity and cracked jokes about it. I'm sure Capcom got so sick of it that they changed his look because of it, even if the most plausible reason is that Leo didn't want his likeness to be used without permission.

Have to wonder if Capcom would revive him given all the fan speculation that interpreted Wesker's taunt as being truthful. Personally, I could see something happening if it tied into Wesker's own possible revival, which has been speculated about since Umbrella Corps, but all the same, I'd rather they didn't play so loosely with life and death in the series, since it is already pushed to the limit with how many mutated characters are able to shrug off death until finally succumbing to it.

I just recently had another perfect idea for another video you can do thats perhaps the biggest one for you yet dude, you should definitely do 50 facts about umbrella itself. You can certainly cover all of there facilities, laboratories, and on map locations including all of the B.O.Ws that were created by umbrella themselves and even the mercenaries that were hired by umbrella that went to raccoon city in resident evil 3 (Carlos Oliveira for example) to help rescue survivors. I really think that's the perfect choice for you next man! U should definitely do it!👍👍
