Came here to say congrats at being mentioned in one of Arnold's Pump Club emails.
Yesssss!!!!! Been waiting for this review! This is the bench I've had my eye on but no one talks about it with the blackwing
Adding a plate under the foot of the bench will make a flat bench decline as well. :) - Thanks for the video Coop!
Picked up a BW using your link. Ty for the great videos and helping me make a pick. For 60 bucks more went with BW vs 5200. Now to get some adjustable DBs.
I always put my feet up directly on a flat bench, so gap is not an issue w/me. Great review, as always!
Hi coop great job on the video thanks really nice bench
Leg roller compatibility with Blackwing allows Nordics and various angles of decline sit ups. Those are important functions for many garage workouts, which easily makes the Blackwing the winner for me.
Agreed. -8 isn’t much of a decline. I can’t afford the black wing but I don’t think this is the one for me either
Agreed. There's a lot of great functionality unlocked with the blackwing leg roller attachment and it's the reason I went with that instead of this. Both are great benches though.
Most people who do them look like they don’t even lift. The rest of us do the basics and get jacked
Really like the New 5200, really rides the line perfectly of sturdiness and mobility, plus the dual tone is Fantastic (Went Red/White)
CHECKING IN 🔥
This bench was awesome. Im so glad I got to try it at Home Gym Con last year.
Sweet video, we love your content 🫶
Great bench. I pre-ordered a white one and love it.
I see you testing the trulaps! Waiting patiently for that review
Great review. What kind of dumbells are those-a?
Absolutely LOVE my black wing. It just feels next level.
Canceled my order for this bench when I saw your Blackwing review. Don’t think I’ll need a zero gap if I ever get another bench but overall very happy with my purchase
i like when coop compares rep colors to sorinex colors, like anywhere near the same percentage of home gym owners have sorinex pieces
I feel like most people don't care about the zero-gap. Why isn't there just an AB-5200 with a leg roller attachment?
Damn bro, why ya gotta spend my money like that. Now I gotta pop this on my Wedding Registry see if it sticks lol
Rep is making your workout easier by lightening your wallet 😉
I have a very old adjustable bench and this one is at the top of my list for an upgrade in the near future. My old bench has a very soft & comfortable pad. Seems like the benches today all go with pretty firm pads, so that will be an adjustment for me.
The pricing for this one - I think the value is there for an investment like this for your home gym. You could spend a lot more on other benches out there that don't have all this one has to offer.
God i just bought the 3200 2.0 for my birthday, and i i love this one..
@GarageGymReviews
What bench did you end up using for your parents gym set up? I recently installed the PRX system as well and been debating on what bench would be best since it's very close to the wall. I've gotten a few ideas from your videos, which are extremely informative, but thought I'd ask which one you liked best for that set up. Thanks in advance!
I have the Profile Pro Rack with a multi-grip bar.
Great review Coop. I went with the BlackWing and have had it for about 90 days now. I use it 5 days a week and are incredibly happy with it. I would buy it again if I had to do it all over. I agree the BlackWing is a heavy bench. I am 54 and can move that around my gym no problem. It does get a little more difficult when I am fatigued. Sometime I just have to give myself 60 seconds before I move it. Thanks again for the great review. V/R Shane
Same. 5 days a week, Black Wing and 53 years old. I have no problem moving it around even after a workout.
Same. My home gym is tight and maneuvering isn’t easy but I’m very happy with the Blackwing.
@@SkyAntoine I am in the same boat. I have to Tetris my bench and a few other things during my WO’s because its so small. The tight space is much more of a pain than moving the BW around for sure.
@@murdog04 @SkyAntoine so glad to hear despite its weight and small home gym you both are pleased you went with the BW. I was debating BW or the new IM superbench pro because of the needing to move it out the way when not in use.
I love my blackwing ❤ I never have an issue moving it around.
Glad you love it, it's a great bench! - Coop
I'm between this one and the Blackwing... It's a tough choice... I'm not sure I'd need the extra function of the zero gap, but with the similar price point it seems like it couldn't hurt... Biggest negative will be my wife's hate of moving it around for sure. Still on the fence..
Thanks coop @GarageGymReviews . The previous 5200 and the 5000 No Gap both on sale for $449 shipped. Which of these would you choose if on a budget? Or still go for the 3100 "Best budget" Thanks!
I see Coop is using the Trulap dumbbells during the row portion of this video. Are we going to see a Trulap review soon?
I wish they offered the adjustable post for the original 5200.
Even if people won't currently use the BlackWing leg attachment because this has decline, as Rep have said they'll be releasing a Leg curl/extension for the Blackwing for me, the option for the attachment is worth it over AB-5200 2.0! Both are incredible though just depends on your usage
Is there going to be a plate loaded leg curl/extention arrachment? from what I see there is one and its just 2 round pads. I want to be able to do hamstring curls, but i'm no where near repping my body weight, I'm currently only hitting what the machines @ PF call 40-50lbs, thats one leg at a time but with both thats 100lbs and i already weigh almost 150 so i'm thinking that would be a problem.
Looking at upgrading from my 3000 with this or the 4100 in the future
This confirms what I already suspected to be true: the AB5200 v2 is my future (last) bench
when are you doing the review of the trulap 92?
Curious what you think of something brand new like this vs a used FID with pop pins from a commercial gym for a significantly lower price?
Was hoping that Rep has this for Black Friday but they only have the 1.0
Is there a rack you would recommend for outdoor use?
What would you recommend for a bench that could have attachment like curl, leg extension and possibility to do decline ?
Which would you pick between the 4100 and the Vulcan Prime Adjustable Bench?
Why can't they make an incline bench that can accomodate a barbell row underneath without hitting any vertical beams?
I could draw one with a pen and paper in 10 mins, not too hard to engineer,
just charge the price difference, many of us need/want one. You hear me manufacturers?
Who makes those chrome adjustable dumbbells?
Thanks for the review Coop! Now I'm confused and hesitant. Following your review on IronMaster Pro v2, I was convinced that the IronMaster Pro v2 was the way to go for its versatility and attachments. Would you still recommend the IronMaster over the REP AB-5200 2.0 for versatility and is the stability the same for both?
AB-5200 is more more stable. If you’re not using the attachment ecosystem of Ironmaster, I wouldn’t recommend it over 4100 or 5200
AB-5200 is definitely more stable. I prefer the Ironmaster for all other versatility, but build quality and stability are better on the 5200. - Coop
Coop. How much more decline does the black wing get? -8 doesn’t seem like much at all
When will rep make a bunch with attachments. Leg extension, curl pad, stc.
4:19 everyone is awake now XD
Can we talk about the about the dumbbells you were using in a future video?
Hopefully REP makes an ab 4100 2.0.
Are Pads compatible with the V1 AB-5200?
pad gap looks like 1.5"+, not the 1.36" that you mentioned. nice one.
I thought you liked the Iron Mastrr bench you reviewed a month pruor?
What dumbbells are those in the video?
Coop's rubbing elbows with Arnold now. Congratulations brother.
So he sold out to an establishment politician!
@@avinashtyagi2 Guess I'm not going out on a limb by saying you don't know what I'm referring to.
@@Z28L98 Clearly my attempt at humor was too subtle
@@avinashtyagi2 it's all good, no problemo
Coop you should compare iorn master superbench pro to Powertecs Workbench F.I.D Bench. That would be a very interesting review.
I'd like to see a review of the whole powertec multisystem
Keep seeing the Trulap in videos but there isn't a review vidéo up yet...
I have the rogue adjustable bench 3.0 and if this were available at the time I might have switched to get the decline!
The more important question is: what is the name og thoes adjustable dumbells?
I love my AB 4100. I don’t really do any decline otherwise I would be interested in this one.
Very underrated bench. Awesome value. - Coop
As long as they use a knurled handle Coop is in.
does he still prefer the prime bench the most?
I want this but it’s just so expensive. One day I hope
What about the ironmaster v2 bench
Boom goes the dynamite
Whats the price on this bench thanks 🏋️
Bro why you post this? My AB-4100 just showed up today! Like it's literally not even unpacked yet lol
Is it better than Prime's?
Thumbnail typo.
I hope they do a black friday deal for this badboy. Shipping waived at least.
shipping is already included in the price.
Better buy the Blackwing before Rep watches this and raises the price 😂
Ladder system "on the outside" I think makes it harder to get your finger in there.
Would this be good in a commercial gym?
Yes, I believe it's high enough quality wise to work there. - Coop
Bench just got dropped off. Building it now!
Enjoy! - Coop
what are those dumbells?
Trulap
They are sick...8.5 to 92.5 adjustable
Whatever happened to REP's clear coat?
I think they confirmed on IG that clear coat is coming to the blackwing and/or this bench soon. Don't remember specifically which one it was
I’ve asked a bunch. Pls do Wright Equipment. Some of their stuff is American made, and they’re from my hometown of Birmingham, Al
I just can’t bring myself to spend that much money on a bench. Got a 2nd one for $200aud and really can’t justify spending $600+aud for a bench. Some benches cost as much as a power rack makes no sense to me.
Don’t see why this is worth more than the 3000 2.0 i just got. Same thing honestly
You don't need dumbells, you can just lift the bench to get a perfect workout
12:35 Or perhaps this bench should be significantly cheaper?
Great, another bench review.
Well, at least it's still better than the butter boys or whatever they're called.
Not another bench review.. the manufacturers must be running out of equipment ideas that they keep bringing out new benches.
my Rogue flat bench and Watsons adjustable bench are built like tanks and will last a lifetime, so very little chance of needing to upgrade.
Gym equipment is kinda like the gun industry. It's hard to get really innovative in a relatively mature industry. I'm happy with my FB5000. It's built like a tank and will last me the rest of my life.
I did check out the FB5000 which was great for the price but REP don’t supply to UK so went for Rogue with fat pad.
@@msingh121 They're in the UK now
Just checked it. They’ve partnered with a national equipment supplier which is great.
4100 > 5200
If that's a "decline," I'm 8ft tall and 400lbs lean.
1st
first'
made in china kills the deal. stop reviewing the same boring rep shit, expand to the many smaller companies making great homegym equipment - mutant metals, straydog, oak club, prime fitness, surplus strength
0:50, no, we don't need to stick around to find out. It's in the title, you think it's "their very best!".
Well that's because he doesn't like all the adjustment options in the Blackwing (such as the zero gap)
If you watch the whole video though, it's pretty clear they're pretty much equivalent
I don't care for either of them. I'm still on the lookout for a great adjustable bench, but for me... I don't use a bench that much, so it should be good, but not have too much of a footprint, neither when standing.@@avinashtyagi2
