I feel 3 is an incredibly high rating for this puzzle.
1/5 imo still a neat gadget for kids
Exactly. The only “hard” part was the first turn and only because it was a hidden seem. Pretty neat, but that’s about as far as it goes.
Good collectors item regardless of the difficulty, would look pretty on the shelf
SO CONFUSING I SHARED THIS ON FACEBOOK
3/5 hardness for listening to his awful german accent
Imagine if you hid all three keys in different puzzle boxes, then hid the boxes in secret places with riddles for directions.
Ah yes escape rooms
would wrk like the secret puzzle....
Bruh this sounds like great geocaching mystery.
This happy German puzzle man is the most wholesome thing I’ve ever watched on the internet.
Someone needs to send this to the LockPickingLawyer 😂
He'd find a way to shim it :D
Nice click out of 1.
Nothing on 2.
3 is binding.
Small click out of 4, and we got this open.
Random Tube Yo that’s crazy I just came here from watching his videos😂
@@jr4_leonides92 me too!
Guys he did it
This actually seems like an incredibly easy puzzle to solve. Every step is obvious.
Like he says in the video. these were not meant as puzzles at first. They were invented to make it so no one person could open a given lock. To me this isn't a puzzle, it is a really cool conversation item, that is just very neat and interesting in design. I wouldn't mind owning one.
I agree. If it seems obvious to even me what to do then it clearly shouldn't be more than a 1...lol. Still a pretty cool puzzle.
The first key isn't even needed. A small wrench would take care of that
But the first key doesn't just open the first part, it also unveils the other two keyholes, I don't think a wrench would fit inside to do that.
yeah wrench doesn't work but drive sockets will
3/5 ratings seems a bit high for this puzzle.
“Hey I forgot my keys at home can I put my stuff in your locker?”
“Yea sure just give me a minute to open it”
Anyone figure it out in like two seconds into the video?
Very easy
1.2594 seconds
Yes.... they kept dragging it out I was getting peeved
No !
I was very surprised.... 😳
Yes
I‘m not sure why you would give this a 3/5 in difficulty. I would only give it a 1/5. The first key was very obvious and the rest is not much of a puzzle.
I think it'd be harder if all the keys had a square hole.

I haven’t seen that many videos of his, (maybe 20) but i have never heard him give anything but a three out of a maximum of five
i agree
Video starts 5:50
wish I'd seen this 6 min earlier
Me too-,-
What???
+Tyko Brian as in that's when he stops repeating about how it's made of metal brass and steal and really massive and puts the Damn giant square cutout in the key onto the obvious square nut
Ikr what a windbag
This is the first puzzle that I solved in my head before you explained the solution. That being said, its a cool mechanism/puzzle with good flow, and it doubles as steampunk looking a 3 of 3 lock! Put this on a treasure chest and give two of the keys to two different friends, then make plans to meet up in that exact spot in exactly 10 years
This is not a puzzle. This is actual lock used in India around 1700 for safe keeping of money chest with 3 authorize key holders.
I too have seen videos about the same in india . 😊😊😊
@David Daivdson its a reproduction
@@kevinmorrice it was a joke
They only tell the KEYHOLDERS how to open the lock. So, in a kind of a way, it's a puzzle to the civilian/criminal. Besides, he explains it during the video. You need to watch the video before commenting about it.
Its still designed also as a puzzle as well as otherwise they would just expose the key holes
Ok, no joke, first 10 seconds I say why not use that hole in the key to open the bottom.
SAME OMG
fuck this is horrible I'm 6min in and he put it back down and been jibber jabbering again
Same. It's obvious as fuck.
Too obvious and he keeps talking and talking -,- could be a 1 min. Video with the same content
Ik right XD
The first step was really obvious and the five and a half minute wait until you actually got to doing it was excruciating.
Shut the fuck up Daniel
same i had to skip in the video
I skipped to 5 minutes and ended at 8, the rest is pointless.
It's... a video? On CZcams? You could always just, y'know, skip ahead instead of being a jerk about it.
Oh my god yes! I was yelling at the screen for him to get on with it! I just started jumping ahead until I got to it.
It's fun to see someone just as giddy at handling this puzzle as I am
5:45 actual progress
Thank you
7:49 "3 keys in one hole"
Ahh, I can already imagine what viewers think about :v
Well, that was an easy puzzle even I could figure. Either it was easier than you said, or my skills have improved since I started watching your videos.
Hehe, we will see on next week's video! 😁😂
But April is over a month away.
Same here
Speak for yourself :P
I went through the comments looking for this one😂😂
Pretty nice but SUPER EASY COME ON. I sloved that puzzle before you started ☹️. I was hoping for something more challenging
Try correct spelling puzzle.
dtom8888 try not being such a grammer villain.
Drake Herrington
Sorry, could not resist.
Same use the key with the sqaure cut out on the top but it on the bottom and use like a little lever to turn the bottom
Sneakerhead_107 Same, bit annoying how everyone’s sounding puzzled, I’m 12 and this was a walk in the park, the out stretched square obviously matches the hole in the key, then from there it’s like it was created for a baby.
Very simple, but definitely one of my favorites! And I have watched a lot of your videos. This one just really.stood out and I love how otherwise looks with 3 keys!
Big ups to mr.puzzle for the amazon link great puzzles little pricey but certainly affordable.
Super easy puzzle, but I love how a single lock takes 3 keys, used in secret ways, to open it. Not only that one key has a dual use. Good one Mr. Puzzle.
Oh man - they really did a great job on the finish of that first step! I reccon they probably first machined it to perfectly matching mating surfaces, then finished the surfacing of the side walls with both parts joined together, so striations etc would blend seamlessly. This must have been a delicate task - working flat surfaces is one thing, but this is basicly a bolt, or rather the inner race surface of a bolt head. Meaning you can't access the whole surface in one go, you need to work your way around. Even a lathe or cnc won't be microscopically perfectly balanced, and you would pretty much need that for the seamless joint to remain after 4-5 "unlock" cycles. This is awesome.
pr0xZen it's brass so perhaps they could hammer out any little gaps before brushing the surface... but it's a well hidden joint however it was done.
pr0xZen I had looked at the puzzle for 3 seconds and firfured out the first step, basically the wholy puzzle
Youre over complicating it. all they'd have to do is machine it and sand it. lol
I hope he is not an egineer.
honestly it could have been done on a lathe and come out extreme smooth
I figured it out at the start. You are awesome and I like all of the puzzles
I so like this one - and thank you for explaining - - really good stuff !
It starts at around 5:00 (kind of)
NathanBrutal too much talking... Unsubscribed.
Jesse Fritz 10 minutes for that ad money.
NathanBrutal I'm done with this. Have no desire to listen to someone's pitch for 10 min before taking x amount of time to unlock a lock. No thanks.
Jesse Fritz Agreed.
NathanBrutal It isn't even monetized jackass. It was a sponsored video. If you don't enjoy his content then just don't watch.
Nice i like it. I did notice the shape of the key handle and the bottom of the lock but like you said they done a good job of hiding the separation between the 2 parts so i was like "Hmm how will that work if that is all one part"
mitchcraft really? I noticed the handle immediately.
I think most people wouldn't have even tried to use the square hole in the bottom of the key even once.
It's the first thing i noticed, i just wasn't sure how it would work since the bottom of the lock looked like it had no separation. I just knew that it was no coincidence that they were the same shape though 🙃
mitchcraft i think it would've been better if they put the square shape in all handles of the keys so it would've stood out less
I’m ordering this on amazon because I like this one and it’s literally the first one that I understand how to do without the explanation
I have seen variations of this kind of lock before, but not one where all three keys needed to be in place to unlock. Very slick.
Difficulty 3/5 ?? Bit of a generous rate. I don't do puzzles, but the answer came instantly, i'd give it a 0.5/5 aha.
I found this one very easy
Yess me too
Tim Swarts hahaha me too
The hole in the key is really distinctive, so I immediately thought of using it to unscrew the bottom part.
I guess the reason they used brass for its construction is because it fits together so perfectly as to not leave a line.
I love this one. I noticed that the first part would be the square part of the key handle. Neat how when it's tightened down, you can't see that the bottom has a separate piece.
5:50 stuff starts happening
shishido7 THANK YOU SO MUCH
shishido7 thank you
shishido7 wish I saw this earlier
Thank you kind sir
Thank god
I love puzzle locks and this is awesome. I LOVE IT!
This is my favorite one yet
What a fantastic and intuitive puzzle!
I think this one is more like a 2/5 as I had it solved in my head pretty quickley, but the puzzle itself is super cool. Looks super rugged with all that metal!
Well, more like 0.1 out of 5. It's always clear what to do.
Yes it's rather easy but anyway cool! 😊
Screw medieval foodstorages, I need this on the work fridge!
flawmore can you not trust yourself with the food supply lol, you need 2 people to confirm next time you can eat lunch?
haha
A really elegant puzzle, I'd say the difficulty would even be as low as 2 out of 5, since the first step is the only obvious interaction between the keys and the lock: the square hole in the key and the square protrusion at the bottom. But it's neat that the gap where it unscrews is so well disguised, and each subsequent step flows naturally, guiding you to the solution. Great design and ingenuity.
I did not know that this type of lock was actually used in history I just learned something in addition to opening the lock that these locks are part of our history thank you very much
3 factor authentication in a form of padlock
It has no keyhole. Also it has no keyhole. Did anyone notice it has no keyhole? 5 minutes later, it still has no keyhole. Amazing.
but it has a key hole xD
Did we mention that it still has no keyhole
6 months later.. I think there's a keyhole somewhere.
i like this puzzle. thanks!
I love that lock very nice to keep one from getting slick.
That is NOT a puzzle, every step was obvious. It is just a complex multi-key lock.
Andrew Shearin
Wait who are you talking to?
Player The strongest entity Same person you are fam.
Andrew Shearin
Oh.....sorry
...and here come those who lack the mental acuity to form a rational argument, and so rely upon foul language and abuse to make their point. I was simply pointing out the fact that this is not, in the truest sence of the word, a puzzle. In general Mr.Puzzle does some excellent videos, of some very good puzzles. This is not one of them.
ceejayrob
I'm only a child, please leave me alone, I am sorry.
I'm not really sure why you said it had a difficulty rating of 3/5
Right from the start, it was very obvious how that first step would work, and the rest was nothing but using the keys.
Compared to the other puzzles you rated 3/5, this would be a 1,5/5 at max
This is like 0.3/5, not 3/5
After you give us the money dickwad!!
One of the more simple puzzles but still good
This could be a really cool puzzle for an escape room. Especially if you have to do a different puzzle to get each key.
Oh yes!
MegaZakks Dont give the Jigsaw guy any ideas for the next movie
@@Mr.Puzzlehow to buy this 🔐
Legend has it that Mr Puzzle has never rated a puzzle anything other than 3 out of a maximum of 5.
😂
Instantly saw you use the first key as a wrench. I don't even do allot of puzzles. Then it's very straight forward. 3/5 is an overstatement.
That's pretty sweet, I like this puzzle!
If i produced it, i would do all heads of the keys the same so you dont see that one is different to make the first step harder...
If they wanted to make it difficult, they wouldn't make the puzzle steps so obvious and sequential. The only trick to the puzzle was the key and it wasn't even that hard to find.
That's an interesting idea. 😃
Actually I would have made the heads of the other two keys similar but made the square in the head slightly smaller. That way those two would LOOK the same, but but lack the functionality of the first. The alternative would have been to make the heads of the other two keys look something like their unlocking mechanism on the bottom. That would have disguised the functionality of the head of the first key and made it look ornamental instead.
Make one of them a triangle and the other a pentagon, and hide the solution element inside of a distractor pattern.
Maybe also icorporate a fake keyhole for the smallest normal key, to make players waste time on that :)
Its more interesting than hard to solve. 2
I agree it's not too hard to solve. If you found the first step it's rather easy.
Mr.Puzzle I solved first step the moment I saw it.
46n2 congrats, you earned a gold star 🌟
A+, Sir. Thank you.
Great work ! Your videos are the best !
3 out of 5 for difficulty?
This one is a 1.5 at best. It didn't take me even half a minute to see what was going on.
solamisandwich05 Yeah same, I usually dont even guess them since most of the puzzles require some trial an error. But I saw the solution to this one really quickly.
1 out of 5 or really 0 out of 5
Yeah, I agree. 1 out of 5, MAYBE 2 out of five, but that's pushing it. It seems insanely obvious... I've bought harder looking 'puzzles' from Ikea. Still a cool design and doubles as a functional 3 of 3 lock with a steampunk aesthetic
Put an armed guard at each key. Get through there gun and then try again.
Holy shit! Amazed at how many people are so upset over the length of the video. Mr Puzzle still put in good effort. Why be so negative and outright mean to the guy?
And he even hit his head on the camera. Poor guy...
ikr lol, :(
Talks too much imo
Bable babble bable ya thats what i wanna watch bunch of dumb info about computer science.. i came to see u solve a fucking puzzle
He took up 3 minutes rambling and advertising. That's almost a third of the video.
Not the hardest like u said but I would love that lock to start my collection of puzzles!!!!
Difficulty level 1/10. I figured it out as soon as i saw the square shape in the middle of the key
the solution to this seemed pretty obvious
Or just do what I do: use thermite.
Just kidding, this looks great!
hibana dude
WEPONIZED FIGETSPINNERS
Rainbow six siege is the best game ever
+Blood Knite nope
Blood Knite agreed
Thanks Sir, you're really genius
Imagine you are out and returning home, and a real sudden urge needing the bathroom occurs. Then there's this lock on your gate.
Nice puzzle video!
I give this puzzle a 1/5 . If you have common sense you instantly would two n two together that the the key with the center in the shape of the square matches that of the base of the lock. From there..if you continue to have common sense you can easily figure out the rest.
+Mr.Puzzle
but fun video as always !
That's a very, very cool puzzle! I'd love to use that to lock up my expensive synthesizers when I'm on the go, somehow :D
Keep in mind it's only a puzzle lock. I thing it's rather easy to break it up. No hardened steel or anything.
Mr.Puzzle Aw, bummer!
It'd be cool if there was a more secure version of the lock, I'd totally use it
Wow. Very BRILLIANT
I need this as my new padlock
Nice toy but the first step is pretty intuitive (btw u can do it with ur hands) snd step 2 and 3 are the obvious consequence... Would be nice to use it on xmas with your 6 year old child to make him puzzle his way to the gifts😂
1/5 difficulty rating for me.
T. T. G. I give it a -5 out of ten for difficulty. It is incredibly obvious.
Loved this lock puzzle, I saw the start within the first second, I saw the shape on the key and the end of the lock, I knew immediately how to start it...And that's the KEY to solving it, as the other keyholes make themselves readily apparent, so on a scale of 1-5 I rate it a 1 for being very easy.
Love this lock! Nice video!
I like puzzles but this.... I can't really call this a challenge 😕 it's so easy, when you unscrew the square thing, the lock just gives it away, so if you want a challenging puzzle...... Don't get this one XD ( just to clarify, I'm not hating )
Wolfie BlackHeart I think it would be a nice gift for a child.
Shane Rothery lol yea
Stop lying
for 80$? you can gift a child better stuff for that much money.
83wasagoodyear I figured it out within a minute they aren't lying
This would deter any robber! ... unless they like puzzles 😱
@Tillamook, an angle grinder can solve any puzzles.
Steven Kim ya, and it also wakes up the whole neighborhood too!
Tillamook brass is easy to cut Evan with bolt cutters
The shackle doesn't look hardened steel and it is not even round. So it will give enough area for a ₹3 metal cutter blade to cut the shackle and open the lock
Then make one out of tungsten. Let him play with that and an angle grinder. Robber can like puzzles all he wants. If you don't have the keys, pliers will get you past the first step, but then you are screwed on the next 3.
So amazing lock!
saw solution immediately when looking at 3 rd key, pretty cool idea.
I got annoyed with how he dragged a 2 minutes video into 10 minutes.
WSP UNIT hold on a sec it's more like 11 minutes
Tubers do it ad revenue
2 mins would still be like a minute and a half too long
WSP UNIT
it is for the ad revenue
Watch with 2x Speed from halfway mark.
Interesting
But 10 min for such simple puzzles is too long
to earn money from advertisements on youtube the video must be 10+ minutes long. so...
Filipe Moniz 👍👍👍
Filipe Moniz But the video isn't monetized so... 🤦
Not_Vaxei i dont realy know im just sayin the videos have to have certain time to be monetized.
Filipe Moniz No... They don't. That's not how it works. You can monetize a video as long as you are in the CZcams Partner Program. I was wrong, however. The video is indeed monetized. This does not mean he made it 10 minutes for that reason. All 10 minutes does is allows midroll ads.
Τhat was the most exciting puzzle I've ever seen!
Keep up the good work man!
It is very neat.
A lock made out of Dwarven metal.Nice.
:D
Your videos are so drawn out. Is it just to get the 10 minute mark or what?
BearOwlWhoIs yes
BearOwlWhoIs yes
BearOwlWhols yes
BearOwlWhoIs No. It is just for you to comment that cpmment.
Lucas Choat you ruined it
That's a "puzzle"?
In theory a lock that requires 3 unique keys is cool...but as a puzzle this is ridiculously easy.
This is like a difficulty 0.
My bike lock is no easier to figure out haha.
It's actually not a puzzle but a security device really used to secure things in India. It is produced by a security company not a puzzle maker.
It's confusing nature is meant to deter theives that is all but it can be opened with a few common tools. Allen wrench, hex screwdriver, etc.
I loved the lock. It's not too hard to be banging your head..but a nice refreshment!
I saw the solution right from the beginning
Erick Lowder did you have x-ray then? I dont know how you can see any step but the first key beforehand
Me too 😅 its my first time can solve puzzle by its video😁😁
you might say you saw the starting position from the beginning, I did also. The bottom bolt and the circle in the right key were instantly noticed right at the start as the first step of the puzzle to turn the bolt with the key.
That was one of the easier puzzles. The first step was obvious and once you have that the rest is easy.
me too
that was one of the easyest puzzles i have seen
JJ Snel easyest...
I know
At first I thought it was just a commercial for a website so turned it off then I went to the end and saw three keys. Saved me a lot if time.
I love this one!
You really know how to milk a lock and hit that 10 minute mark.
Moviesman8 Just no, please
Not_Vaxei he’s right tho. It’s really pathetic
Carrot 2 No he isn't jackass, the video has no ads whatsoever, it was fucking sponsored. This is just the way he makes his fucking videos. If you don't enjoy it, then don't fucking watch it.
Not_Vaxei fucking mad lol, he is milking the shit out of this. It would take 3 min to review and unlock this shit.
xXĐăřķ_MąťțěŕXx Yes, I was kind of mad. Now I shall write the comment non-angrily. He isn't trying to milk the video to 10 minutes. If you had listened during the "filler" he explained that the video was sponsored and thusly not monetized. He does this in most of his videos and I, as a subscriber, enjoy this. If you do not enjoy his content, nobody is forcing you to watch it and you may leave whenever you like. I apologize for getting angry over a channel that I enjoy.
I was like this puzzle is like the coolest looking and sounding puzzle ever
AWESOME PIECE.
I've got to find a lock like this. If you think about it, even if someone had all the keys (assuming they are hidden in three different locations), they'd still have to figure out how to use them. This would be perfect for my bedroom!
I think this is my favorite puzzle I have seen on this channel so far!
For me too!
Glad to hear that! It's also one of my favorites!
Same
Thats one cool lock for my storage unit! Nice!
I ordered it! Cant wait! :)
i love this lock
Very cool, i love it
One minute in, heres my guess on how you open it. use the third keys center hole like a socket wrench and twist the square nob on the bottom of the lock.
EDIT: Well i was 1/3rd right.
Same. But I would have solved the rest just as easily sooooo.
Schokobienen TV Me too, still a neat little puzzle.
CZcams does not pay based on video length. They pay based on ads viewed on each video. A 2 minute video with 1 ad will get paid just as much as a 10 minute video with 1 ad
@A Boy and His Subaru you're actually wrong. Have you never heard of the whole 10 minute video controversy? www.wetheunicorns.com/features/youtubers-are-now-making-their-videos-over-ten-min/
SpydersByte Actually I'm not. Ive been part of the YPP for 2 years now and have been making money on my videos. It is about ad views and not video length. That article is almost 2 years old and comes from an unreliable source
he is right, as long as it still contains the same amount of ads it doesnt matter, but when a video exceeds the 10 min lenght you can add in more ads
A Boy and His Subaru
That is technically not true because of hiw youtube displays ads. The algorithm determines which ads show up one every single video, so depending on your statisics you could have a dollar for 5 ads or 10 dollars for 2.
John / DDFusion What?!?! Did you even read my post? I never even mentioned how much money you make per ad. I said VIDEO LENGTH DOESN'T DETERMINE PAYOUT. The number of ADS does. So if a 2 minute video gets 1 ad played on it, it will get paid the same amount as a 10 minute video that only has 1 ad played on it. Please read, and fully comprehend before posting replies
I do not really like doing puzzles myself, although watching your videos are really interesting.
the perfect
key for anyone that searching reasons to not do chores
