First of all I'm really sorry for your finger 😕 awesome fight, glad you like it 👍well done 😉 Bravo 👏😀🍻
Thank you for the amazing design! Frustrating but still so clever and satisfying!
Just a fine rounding of the edges with a burr would solve that for future models.
You kill finger
Hey brother, Nice to see your puzzle lock on this channel. Happy picking mate
SasPes fantastic work making this great puzzle lock. 👍
Watching this really makes me realise how LPL's lock knowledge really gave him leverage
Also his precise movements. I awed at how LPL immediately inserted the key to the right length and opened the lock.
It probably doesn't help that Mr. Puzzle is so good with puzzles. Due to his knowledge, he keeps on overthinking the puzzle.
Yeah. I noticed that too. LPL figures it out pretty quickly whereas Mr.Puzzle struggles quite a bit with it
You don't say! LpL did it in 10 minutes while Mr. Puzzle took 2 and a half hours!
@@calebgonsalves2970 ithink he did it faster like around 5-6 minutes if you dont include the intro and putting back the lock.
Came here after watching lpl solve this in under 8 minutes
Did this guy really spent 2+ hours on it? Looks like a youtube fake, because LPL is the real deal
@@miorioff
Mr. Puzzle took that time cause he didn't know about the core mechanism, which he discovered later.
@@d.SAiNi. LPL: I know this lock.
(Show a same lock)
I: OoO
@@d.SAiNi. It's a mechanism of the core of the lock. LPL could've easily figure it out even if he did encounter that problem.
@@d.SAiNi. There are transparent locks out there where you could see the components of a lock. You could see that there are springs inside for the pins. If a manipulation inside the lock is to be done you would assume that the springs inside were removed thus you could easily assume that you need to hold it in a certain position in order to unlock the lock. Hence I could say that LPL could've figure it out easily even if he encountered it.
You know you've got a great puzzle when it requires a blood sacrifice.
😅
*Nervous Laughter*
Now the puzzle just needs to spak in some ancient alien tongue and it'll be set.

Thanks for sending the puzzle to LPL. It was interesting seeing the puzzle opened from a lock pickers perspective
Yes, really enjoyed his video. Very interesting!
In case you haven't seen what they are talking about here is the link: czcams.com/video/mgWEIiIfGsQ/video.html (LockPickingLawyer meets the Challenge)
Hello people from the lock picking lawyer
Hello
Hi
Yooo
Hei
Sup
Send this lock to thelockpickinglawyer!!!!!!!!
Got a click out of 2, 3 seems set and 4 is binding and we got it open thats all i have for you today see you again next time.
After watching this video for a few mins, I suddenly forgot who I was watching. Then focusing on his voice I realised that this is not lockpickinglawyer 😅
Batro, the Skywatcher same thing happened to me too as i was watching a LPL video just before this one. Was thinking thats rare a 19 min video on LPL’s channel must be a mighty fine lock then realised it is a puzzle lock.
...and Bosnian Bill along with some chocolate. Lol
LPL may be good at picking, but that won't open this lock.
"Punching does not seem to be an option." Yea, because it punches back. :D
🤣
i was scrolling through the comments, listening to this video and the quote was spoken basically as i read your comment. pretty neat stuff..
Mr puzzle literally making content for us with blood and sweat
And tears
@Arkajyoti Jha
That's exactly what I was about to say and then I saw your comment ;)
It was especially gratifying when you started fiddling with the spring... I thought to myself, "Oh. This is why you have TWO tools." Then I found myself saying it out loud, virtually in unison with you. What fun.
😂👍
Some people have puzzling in their blood. Mr. Puzzle has blood in his puzzling.
16:37 Almost broken the pearl, I can see a small piece in your palm.
it's just a plastic bead though , no worries! :)
@@courtneyj2522 you sure? it might of just been deformed since it was broken.
@@BlueSkyse Idk it looked like it had a hole through it which is indicative of a plastic bead instead of a real pearl but I'm not 100 percent certain at this point lol
This seems like something you should send to The Lockpicking Lawyer
That springless tumbler pin is a nice idea. I'm gonna mock up a padlock to see if it can only open in one orientation.
Doesn't stand a chance against the ramset
Lol, took him ten minutes to take it apart and put it back together again.
You can see the future
Your demand is fulfill my friend.. visit LPL's channel now
It’s neat to see how beneficial LPL’s knowledge of locks was. He knew exactly how far to put the key in
What are you on about?
The only thing that defined how far he put the key in was the fact that it was broken and he was worried if he pushed it in too far then he wouldn't be able to get it back out. Later on in the video grooves intentionally put into the key to get it out proved his fear unnecessary.
The pleasure you got from solving this puzzle was palpable. I saw LPL do this, and you were correct to point out that he has intimate knowledge of all things lock related. So I jumped over here to see how you did. You did quite well, IMHO.
Haha the German AuA! was too good :D
A nice little tribute to Japan on your finger.
😂
Lmaooooo
Amazing video! The way you described your logic behind every move you tried, plus the inner mechanisms you believed (and was correct with) to be in place made this video feel like it never drove on or waffled about.
Great job cutting over two hours down into a video that felt so seamless! Excellent pacing with a great balance of progress and confused standstills.
Thanks! Great feedback!
When you started diagramming it on the paper, I was like "oh crap, he broke out the graph paper, this is serious."
Ah ah, you haven't seen this episode then. This one is insane czcams.com/video/t5zQPPCszqE/video.html
InXLsisDeo Well, yeah, I just meant that he usually doesn't use the graph paper in general unless the puzzle is a tricky one.
I got to your comment at the exact same time that he took out the graph paper 😀
I also came here off the back of LPL's video.
You just earned another subscriber.
Finally 5/5. I was a little tired watching one 3/5 after another. Thank you Mr Puzzle
Congrats, mr.puzzle. You just had the LockPickingLawyer using 5 minutes to solve this lock , that's some kind of achievement
would've been an even more difficult puzzle if the screws were reversed, no one ever thinks to twist screws right way round
i dont think you can buy screws like this with a left handed turn so when you want such screws you need to make them by yourself but yeah you are right the puzzle becomes much more difficult^^
@@raphaelc9492 bikes come with left handed thread on the left pedal or it would unscrew when riding.
@@Mortonbmx i dont ever saw pedals with maggotscrews
That would have been a nice "twist"...
That's such an evil and great idea. 🤣
I just started watching this channel and get SO EXCITED every time you get excited when you find a new step after being stuck for a bit and then getting the solution. Really a testament to being in the moment and making your audience feel like they’re in the room solving it with you and rooting for you. 🙌🙌
guys calm down the lockpickinglawyer even said he had an advantage for knowing the lock and knowing what it was like inside of course he was going to solve it faster, after all it's still a lock
Lockpickinglawyer had an andvantage because he's lockpickinglawyer
He can sneeze and the lock would come open
That cut did not happen the way I thought it would. I kept waiting for him to slip with the metal bars or the broken end of key.
I really Appreciate the videos where you record the intro after the puzzle then show the first attempt following the break as it lets you give better insight into the puzzle while still allowing us to learn from your process as well. Thank you for another fantastic review/solve and i look forward to your continued puzzling! :)
The type of screw you used in this lock puzzle looks like what is known in English as “set screw” or “Grub screw” . You likely know the following, but for anyone else wanting to know this, they are typically used to fasten one object to another such to fasten say a faucet/tap handle to the valve stem of faucet/tap, for example. They can use a variety of drive types, though one of the most common is the Hex drive type (aka Allen drive), which uses an hex or Allan wrench to screw in and remove. Set screw are typically short in length and depending on the application have different types of tip (point) ends, such the cup, conical, oval, dog, or flat.
We call them grub screws here in Australia
This was one of the greatest puzzles on you channel. I love how it is more of a lockpicking and manipulating thing. And you know things are getting serious, if you get a "5 out of a maximum of 5" from 3/5 Mr.Puzzle.
I'm here after watching LPL open this in less than minutes. I hope that didn't make you feel too bad. ;)
@@rastas_4221 indeed it did.
Knowing how far to push the key in was worth an hour and nine minutes alone.
No problem at all. This is not a race.
Rob Kinney the important part is having fun. If a puzzle gets solved in five minutes, it isn’t worth my time imo.
This one's a true masterpiece! Such brilliant engineering and solution
This man is risking his life to solve this puzzle. That deserves a follow!
They way how you had to manipulate the spring makes it easily the best part about this puzzle, as it requires some form of dexterity. Awesome stuff.
Keep up the good work mr.puzzle I really enjoy your videos as I have been watching for many months now.
Awesome battle, well done. Really enjoyed watching this one.
Outstanding! What a tough one. That's the first 5 I've seen you solve and it was fun to watch.
i was honestly waiting for a spring loaded needle or something XD
Your excitement on a good puzzle is just fun!
I think this is an excellent puzzle, I love watching you work through it.
Brilliant solve, really enjoyed watching
I really like this type of puzzle. Thanks for working through your injury and and solving it. 😊
I love his reaction, when he finally cracks a difficult puzzle!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Loved it. Superb puzzle. Bravo for solving it...
I used to enjoy your videos years ago and just returned to your channel, must say the quality has improved so much! Thanks for even better content :)
Best Saturday already! New Mr. Puzzle!
The broken key kept you on edge for a while, that was where most of your time was spent. The finger you cut trying to force the lock is the same finger used by LPL to gently rotate it about 2 seconds after first inserting the key. Gotta love the irony. I really enjoy watching people approach puzzles in various ways.
That was provably your best solution, in my opinion. Thank you.
14:39 the cutting point
auaa xDD
The English engineering term for one of those short headless bolts is "grubscrew". Nice metal puzzle, and it would be interesting to see an X-ray of it!
The joy that was figuring this puzzle out was amazing.
LPL: No fingers were damaged during the recording of the video.
Is it still called Thumbnail if it shows your index finger?
Loved to see you struggle btw, after you blasted through the last puzzles on this very channel =)
🤔🤗
His thumbnail is also clearly visible, so it's okay.
It is an indexnail
7:16 - that pretty much describes my whole understanding of this puzzle. Amazing design! I'm glad to see that you managed to solve it! Hurting yourself without getting a treasure would have been a huge disappontment
I love your excitement when you solve puzzles 😄. Keep up the good work 👍🏻
Absolutely enjoyable,
Thankyou for spilling blood for all .🙂
Fantastic craftsmanship!
You gave blood for it.
Bloody great puzzle.
This puzzle is amazing, it attacked me! Crazy man haha. I can see the difference in how our brains work though. The first few steps were blatantly obvious to me, I could probably work out up to the key turning. The last part with the spring though, I dunno if I'd get that in a hurry. Looks like a great mix of mechanical disassembly and traditional puzzle though, great job!
Yes it's always interesting to watch others! There are so many different ways to approach a puzzle.
@@Mr.Puzzle I'm hopeless at them, I look at some of the stuff you do in complete wonder. The main reason I watch you is for your enthusiasm. It makes it a complete joy to watch.
I really enjoyed watching you beat this one!
So good!! What a fight, what a puzzle!?!? Loved the video, loved listening to you. Great fun !
Thanks!
wow, for a puzzle to get a 5/5 and you actually enjoy it and aren't frustrated by some gimmick or over-complication is pretty rare. very cool
This was one of my favorites despite your being injured, great commitment!
Your enthusiasm is contagious ! 👍👍
Very enjoyable video . .
Who came here from the lock picking lawyer
No One.
Literally No One.
... And probably some other people/androids/cats as well.
Ingenious! Definitely entertaining! Thank you for not making this a 2.5 hour video!
one of my favourite puzzle on your channel
Honestly thought this was an LPL vid for a moment, then looked at the length and went "19 minutes! WTF! He finally found an unpickable lock" :o)
Lasty same here
It did take a little longer than usual with about 5-10 mins though.
This is a puzzle with requires blood offering to solve! This must be a post halloween special video? just kidding! Congratulations from Brazil!
Oh another Brazillian here!
lol well Nurgle preffers to consider it offering Her a drink, in exchange for oppening the fucking thing.
Please send this lock to the legendary Lockpickinglawyer.
Gues what.

I was like ive seen this before.. then I remembered Chris Ramsey solved this puzzle on his channel, it's great to see how different people solve the same things, you two are my favorite puzzlers. Bravo Sir! Sorry about your finger. I hope you and yours are safe during these unusual times.
Thank You for Your Video.
Love this one definitely five out of five specially when you draw blood
I love your home made band-aid
You have appeased the puzzle gods with your blood sacrifice... 11/10 for your contribution!
Love the interlude music!
Love this! Love all your videos!
Thanks!
Brilliant!
That was really sick.... LOVE IT !!!
Literally putting blood, sweat, and tears into your puzzle solving 😆
Well I guess not really tears...Gosh that was really unexpected that it cut you.
Only a flesh wound, who said puzzling was 100% safe?!?! Occupational hazard.
Mr.Puzzle is still in one piece! Yay!
Keep on healing!
💊🏥🤣
Mr.Puzzle lol
Muy Bueno..
De los mejores que vi..
Saludos desde Argentina.👍👍
Keep doing what you're doing!
I was cringing the whole time you had the little tool in your hand. I thought that was how you cut your finger. Lol that was a fun video.
That was lots of fun to watch!
Dangerous business this puzzling game Mr Puzzle!!! Great video and great puzzle. Just loved your excitement at the various small stages of achievement.
Glad to hear that. Thanks for the feedback.
Excellent puzzle.
In the industry we call it a "set screw" as it sets a part in place.
But that was a great live solve. What a mind behind that kind of puzzle!
Also a "grub screw"
Hey... Mr.Puzzle, I'm curious: What is the MOST difficult puzzle you've EVER tried. Either on video or not, or both? Whatever. Can you do a video on that?
Unscrewing all of the rest of those tiny hollow holding rivets in the other holes was something to do once you had done the first one, since they were identical. That delay is strange. Other than that, your final method of "walking" the internal spring downward loop by loop to release the U-bolt was inspired. You are really, really good at "thinking outside the box" about hidden tings inside the box...
ya, would recommend you contact the person and tell them to make sure to deburr the locks.
I liked it very much, it is so satisfying as much as it is ingenious!!! Thank you and have a nice day!!
Watched this after seeing LPL briefly struggle with this same puzzle. Love your channel! You have a new subscriber.
That was a trip! Fun video and that ending/solve was just as satisfying to watch as it looked to solve. Always cool when the puzzle takes you a long time and you're still at it not getting discouraged or pissed (on camera at least :p)
Thanks Mr. Puzzle always glad I subbed ^_^
Thanks! 🙏
What an ingenious puzzle with the spring part!
Less than 3 hours!!!
Well done!!!
I am not as patient as you are!
In addition of this, i f i would be injured by this puzzle, i would have boken it...
Carry on dude!!!
Nice solve Mr. Puzzle! I would never have solved that thing and would have resorted to using a hacksaw!
Now that's a puzzle!! It's like 3 puzzles in one
Fantastic!
Keep on puzzeling!
Great puzzle, worth the blood sweat and tears. Lol
