The “glitch” version is exactly the way I thought it should be solved after just seeing the puzzle the first time within 10 seconds lol
I solved this puzzle in 12 seconds.

I also found I was able to solve the puzzle by quickly snapping it in half. I consider it "thinking outside the box".
If you used that then you didn’t solve it, I did it the right way...

Meanwhile, the medallion puzzle? I skipped past the spoiler wall and totally, 100%, remembered all of the steps involved in the solution. It was so easy a child can do it!

I’m a banjo teacher and lover of puzzles. When I was in grad school I took a statistic exam in front of my professor but used my own formulas, she was flabbergasted and asked who taught me how to do it and told her I figured them out. I’m a musician and music is one big puzzle. I have always loved puzzles, thanks for posting.
I think the glitch is actully really cool, like your way of outsmarting or playing the puzzle-maker at his own game.

The "glitch" solution is in fact what I tried first, and found first... I did end up finding the "intended" solution after further investigation, a cool small puzzle (also won me a bet c;)

i dont think the second solution is a "glitch", theres loads of types of people on this planet, but let me name two, first theres the smart person who loves to try and figure out the toughest and trickiest solution to things to try and inflate there ego by showing how smart they are, then theres the smart person who uses there smarts to figure out the simplest and easiest solution to things, by having that easier way you demonstrated and thought to be a glitch this puzzle can show which one of those someone is

I really like this puzzle because unlike some of the other puzzles like the Impossible Dove Tail Box or Da Vinci's Helicopter, it doesn't depend on hitting/moving it in some random way. It's purely logic and an ingenious solution.

The normal 3x3x3 is actually very easy. I learnt that in a couple of hours, and after a few Days you solve these things in a minute

you can also take the ring along the bottom along the string, stick it through the elongated section then down the string over the ball and the 100 sign. do the steps in reverse to put it back together.
Saw the solution in my head as soon as I saw the puzzle. It was the second one you showed.
I figured it out before watching the solution.
I know some ring and ball puzzles require you to pass the ball through the ring.
And I noticed the board is the same size as the hole.
from there the rest was simple.
all in all I noticed the solution in about 20-25 seconds.

IQ tests were designed to be somewhat easy and chalenging at the same time. The easy solution may appear to some.

Yup, I figured out the glitch solution before I clicked on this vid, the intended way is much more complicated.
A strong mind solves a complex problem with a simple solution, a dim one solves the problem with a even more complicated problem. Such is the issue with a lot of engineers today, they throw the book at something to produce it, instead of taking simple and efficient paths- That's why we have to separate frames and drop engines to replace a sensor, or why a cracked screen on a phone requires the whole MB to be replaced- they are teaching kids how to solve 2+2 with a 15 step equation. Don't get me started with the vast improvements of hardware, yet software is going backwards.

The solution you explain may not be intended is actually how I immediately thought of how to solve it in about 20 seconds of looking at it in the video.
It’s similar method in that it starts on the either side of the ball, and takes a sort of inverse course to what you call the intended solution
What if the 2nd solution is just that a 2nd solution. Finding the quicker solution is all about IQ right, the faster you can figure something out.
I love these types of puzzles because they expand my critical thinking skills:)
