Calling your first video of 2020 solving a torture puzzle was great foreshadowing of the year to come.

Question: where is the puzzle in this puzzle?
It's literally just trial and error, in the most frustrating way possible.
Based on Chris being unable to get it through multiple holes, you can deduce that it has to be a certain hole and also a certain shape on the piece itself. Now it's all about closely observing the holes, the piece, and getting something small to help gauge which one was widest. The puzzle here is figuring out which side the piece is on and which hole. It's unsure if this can be solved through observation alone since Chris cut out voice in some footage so who knows how much detail he took into consideration. Maybe a homemade object to help you figure out what hole is widest could work here. Or marking a toothpick with the width and then putting the toothpick up to the holes.
Fluffy Fluff puzzles are, quite literally, all trial
and error. You try something to see if something happens and if it doesn't you try something else. If it does you move on to the next solving step
@@brennenwright4124 This is a very surface level view of puzzles. If you look at many well made puzzles you are going to find out that they don't have incredibly obscure answers, they have solutions that give a person that "OOOOH" moment where they can see how and why the puzzle works in that certain way. The answer of a good puzzle is one that requires lateral thinking and shows the solver a new way at looking at things, which is why they are enjoyable, they expand our understanding. A puzzle like this compared to a well made puzzle is like comparing a hard math equation to a random combination lock. This puzzle is dumb luck and brute force while a good puzzle is expanding understanding of how objects can behave.
@@brennenwright4124 I wouldn't say that's accurate, a puzzle (at least as I define it) is something you can figure out and solve in your head, something you can solve rather than just stumble upon a solution.
Obviously you trial and error to some degree in order to figure out the rules of the puzzle, but there's a limit to how much a puzzle should rely on trial and error.
Imagine an actual jigsaw puzzle for a moment, now imagine that literally all of the pieces were just the exact same shade of blue, and were shaped almost exactly the same, would you have fun trying to attach every piece to every other piece?
In that scenario, you could still tell the pieces apart if you measured each piece with a toothpick or something, but that's both tedious and a little disappointing, and again boils down to just measuring everything to see what fits instead of figuring out the solution in any way.
Err...wow I wrote a lot, TL;DR at least in my opinion, a puzzle that relies purely on trial and error is barely a puzzle, and certainly not a GOOD puzzle.
@@JoseRodriguez-ht3zv after observing the puzzle myself, I can see the difference in these holes. It's not trial and error if you have keen/sharp eyes and a bit of photographic memory. This is likely a puzzle because the method of solving it was likely made to be difficult (observation). It's obvious that Chris is not the best at solving puzzles so it's possible that on-screen it seems harder than it actually is. He says in the video that the details probably can't be observed, but it's not true.

@@Stringz The probability is 1/52. Although he did kind of throw out two other cards. So you could say it was 1/50. The video has about 1.3 million views so about 25,000 people had their minds blown, unless they knew a little probability then their minds were fine.

He chose the 7 of clubs for a reason. He made spades, hearts, and face cards seem less random by mentioning those two examples and explicitly stating that they aren't somehow random. In effect, that leaves diamonds and clubs, and number cards. The number 7 is the default "random" number people tend to choose, so boom, most people go for 7 of clubs. Why not diamonds? Eh, who knows? Maybe it's the extra syllable.

Finding the Key-Hole with the Naked Eye: Using the "Magic Eye" method, compare adjacent holes all the way around the cage. (looking beyond an object so it divides in your view, bringing the two divided halves together) The center holes will appear the same all the way around, but the in-congruent one being sized differently will clearly stick out beside the others.

@@ohitsstar1241 Not through trial and error though. A puzzle is supposed to test your knowledge and understanding. Anyone can complete this with 100% success by trying every hole, in fact that's the ONLY way to do it, there is no logic or test of skill or anything to figure out. This is as much a puzzle as those shape blocks toys for children, only much more tedious.
