OMG OMG OMG I have the perfect way of describing this puzzle: it’s done in quaternary, which is base 4. Each block has to go all the way out to let the next one move a little, and has to do it 4 times to let the next one all the way out. So the first block only needs 4 times to let the next one out, the next block needs 16 moves, and so on. That’s why it takes so many steps, it grows exponentially with each block
Kander I think I am in love with you. This description is beautiful.
here is a proof of 241 Steps using this method - docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1V5sxWENlK9lmrbr2Ouaki2DWEzUuD9AxrtjQtWFsJ8I/edit?usp=sharing
@@michaelliebenow holy crap that's genius
I know emphatically, that I don't care. That's one puzzle I'm never doing. But yep your a genius. Can totally see that.
@@michaelliebenow for God's sake, who designs something so cruel
Honey: What did you do today?
Dear: I listened to a guy count to 241 with lounge music.
@@Buggabones hahaha
Doubt you see this so ima say this for people out there watching this page for the first time wondering and just bored like I was. I started watching about a year ago just scrolling and this page came up. This dude here's one of a kind. He not only solves puzzles with edited scenes but he actually has his own commentary. Other puzzle solvers are melotoner at best and it's like ok you solved the puzzle. This man goes above and beyond. Its refreshing with the beginning scene almost always being a behind the scenes magic trick. He solves them not knowing what's going on and gives you a brief history most of the time. Highly recommend
Page?...are you reading a book or are you watching a CZcams channel? Hmmmm!
He could make one of those “Eye Spy” books with all that stuff on his desk.
The title says 241 steps but the puzzle is a staircase and it only has 3 steps
What is this trickery
Creepaminer *Clickbait!*
Aiden Pretty sure they were making a pun, because the puzzle is shaped like steps (3).
@@autumntheleafthief7659 deleting my initial comment :))
Creepaminer life.
@Creepaminer merasmus the wizard
Chris has not even started the puzzle and he looks like he's reconsidering his life choices..
241 steps...…….
I watch your videos everyday especially when I’m working so i can relax if i get stuck somewhere. Thank you for the constant relaxation and perfect videos you offer to us all. You are greatly appreciated. 🙏🏾
The intro is so beautiful I am crying,
Also can we start calling small kinda easy puzzles Puzzie?😂
This one took me over 2.5 hours to get them out and back to the beginning. I kind of cheated at one point by writing down my steps and then it went pretty quickly. Great job, dude!
The solution literally is repeating the first part for the next 3 sections, but the latter 2 sections require the previous ones be done and undone to stimulate the same movements
That was a pleasing puzzle to watch you solve.
I like that it's not just one simply trick or step, but a series. So it really takes some skill and attention to detail, instead of getting lucky and doing the one step to solve it.
I really hope that the way you solved it is the correct one and there isn't some crazy shortcut.
I just really appreciate all the time and details y'all put into these vids. So fun to watch, so much brain food. And the music! Loving that track around 11:50. Keep up the great work!!
just watching him tap those pieces back and forth and being like, does that make sense to him at all because it doesn't to me lmao
@chris_Ramsay thanks for all the puzzles vids. I think I have watch everyone. And this was the first intro I have watch and then watched it one more time. Great work to you and your crew.
IDK why, but I'm not really interested in your "1st" merch... I would rather have "Chris Ramsay" merch.
That is more appealing to me, as I'm a consumer/fan of your channel content, and not your playing cards. I would definitely buy something with your awesome CR-Snake logo on it, thats what I identify you more with.
Not meant negative, just some positive/constructive feedback :).

Yeah, as someone who's fairly new to the channel, I didn't even know what "1st" was or what it's got to do with him. I only watch his puzzle vids and keep seeing him promote his 1st merch, but had no way of knowing what 1st had to do with him. Would rather some more recognisable personal branding like his CR logo too.
I agree.
I feel the same way, loved the CR merch and have no interest in 1st. Hopefully he'll release more
Ah nice, I didn't know that so many people agreed with me.
It would be cool to even see some stuff with more than just the CR Logo on it, maybe some design/art that represents/displays his puzzles, magic or even tattoos. Imagine a shirt with all his tattoos on it :D.
Alright first off, very nice puzzie...., second off, you sir add to the beauty of puzzles like these. Watching you slide and toggle each block was mesmerising, i gotta say that these puzzles wouldn't be able to reach there full potential if it wasnt for puzzlers like you chris, im a very big fan, been here a while, watched you grow, and i can say that you have made every step along the way so much more enjoyable, thank you for staying awsome
A step counter would have been a great idea. Love that intro because it was simple but also, dare I say, elegant. Watching the intro and seeing a lot of puzzles I have have watched you do and use in other videos was a cool trip down memory lane. I have said it before and I will always say it, you have some of the best intros on CZcams.
Dude your music playing in the background is always so dope. Also enjoy watching these videos you put out, so awesome to see the amount of talent and craftsmanship these puzzled makers have.
If you liked the one at 2:00-5:00 that's our song Jontha Links - "Let Her Know"! Available for streaming anywhere
@@JonthaLinks yeah you song is dope. Kudos 😀
Best intro/"outro" by far thoroughly enjoyed this systematic Rubicks cube type puzzle.
I can’t get enough of your puzzle videos! Keep up the great work. Love what you do and your tattoos.
Hi Chris, I love the fact that you just don't love the puzzle but you love how it's made just as much. There's not a lot of people on here that also interested in the mechanics of it.
15:54 when i realized that this is like a buffed version of the Tower of Hanoi
Francisco Zudaire EXACTLY it’s in quaternary instead of binary lol
Exactly!! That's why I kept facepalming when he couldn't get it. I am really good at the Tower of Hanoi so this puzzle seems super easy to me.
I made a comment but decided to search afterwards to see if anyone else made this connection. Beat me by 2 months haha. Glad someone else noticed it had a huge Tower of Hanoi feel to it.
Chris, the amount of effort and dedication you put into your videos is truly amazing. Between the intros and your editing, your videos are flawless. Thank you for such great content that has never bored me since the day I subscribed.
"Back to the beginning again"
I'm getting Excalibur De Ja Vu lol.
Ive been watching your vids for a while and i think THE COOLEST puzzle box is the cyber-futuristic one. That was really really dope to watch
Love watching these puzzles some of them crazyyyy
Wow another great intro yay .. there should be a wow button on here .. well done as ever Chris solves another tricky puzzle as nothing ever stops him .. you are the genius hun you are my inspiration and you have so much patience like me .. its wonderful to watch you do these puzzles .. x
Very elegant intro. Must say I've been watching your videos for a while & love them. 😊
I love watching these.. You kick started a whole obsession for me. I’ve gotta thank you for doing these because I’ve gotten into this.. I really love the Hanayama puzzles. Could I borrow some of yours 😁 I promise to send it back.
Hi Chris, would love to see you do a visit to one of the manufacturers to see how they go about designing and building one of these pieces of art .
Me watching this guy solve bizarre puzzles at 12am:
😲😲😲😲😲
Came across your channel some time ago and really got into it... I've since taken up the dark art of cardistry and magic though not great, I've also started collecting cards and have the memento mori at the front.. I've found it really helps with my struggles through depression and ptsd. Keep up the good work Chris.
I can do that in one step, i just need to get my hammer
Such a cool video and so cool to hear our music at 2:00! Y'all can stream Let Her Know on all platforms: link.epidemicsound.com/lhk and follow us for more @jonthalinks ❤️
Really loved this puzzle. It’s so brainy and in the same way not. Love it ❣️💚
Awesomely edited intro brother! Always on top of the game man! Keep it coming my dude.
WOW Chris, dude that was BRUTAL!!!
I personally dont have the patience to do these puzzles but ABSOLUTELY love watching you do them
And this one ... so far, gave you a run for your money
Very awesome! Keep up the great content
That was a cool puzzle to watch you solve! But really are you going to do more on the Old Sins miniature house! Would LOVE to see more of that! Please let us know! Thanks again for your time and effort and love watching! See ya soon!😎😎👍
One of my most favourite intros ever!! Amazing videography + layout of other objects! I can imagine using it as a wallpaper for my computer :)
The time lapse was really cool looking. Looked like stop motion almost with how the blocks would move in and out.
love the effort you put into your video intro 👍👍💪
Love the unique vibe from that intro! Also a wonderful puzzle!
I wish that was a staircase! such a cool idea
Cool idea indeed, until you forget your charger and need to open it up
I mean sure, til you fall through them 😂
This is one of my favorite puzzle's and I'm Aquarius as well so it is fitting.
Intro was artisté ! Honestly it was awesome, you are raising the bar brotha!
Hot dang!!! That was awesome. I love to see the challenging ones, Would love to see you get stumped on one again like Excalibur
that was really cool learning the pattern along with you. it seems like they could add a fourth section and make it like 2 thousand steps lol. i think it would be a big help to cut some little paper arrows out and set them on top so you can keep track of which direction youre moving each piece.
As soon as you started this one... It automatically reminded me of the Excalibur puzzle. Only a few mins in so far... Good luck.
I love the sequence in this puzzle. When you get it, it just takes some time, but it shouldn't be too hard if you get the sequence
So satisfying honestly... Watching your hands move is hypnotizing 😎 I love getting ripped and watching you solve puzzles lol
Beatiful the movie before the video . Like mood board this time with beautiful items. 😍👍🏻
Nice collection of puzzles..
Reminds me a bit of a Chinese 9-ring puzzle, in terms of how you have a sequence of putting things on and off, building up step by step til you get to the end, and the sequence gets longer and longer the closer to the end you get.
i DID love that artsy intro thank you very much!
While I was watching this, i realized it's basically a linear slider gear reduction. to move each progressive box 1 notch, the previous box needs to move about 4 notches which just required alternating between two sliders. It's genuinely brilliant.
Awesome vid as always!
Could you please do the cast radix? Or did you already do this off cam?
What got you into puzzles? I've been watching you a few months now and I'm hooked x
I honestly like the lyric-less background music better, it doesnt get in the way of the experience, and doesnt make voices just mix like 2 people talking, as seen in the first bit of this video
Started to see the pattern of working down the stairs in sections as you were part way through, very tough to have to keep going back then forward again for each part to open🍻 The Waiter's Tray / 6 Bottles from Constantine is done in a similar way, and very challenging, give it a go! Great job today brotha🤘
The time-lapse parts were really satisfying to watch
Just had a date at a Barnes & Noble bookstore, and they have some Hanayama cast puzzles there, and I told her a little bit about them that I had learned about them from watching your videos, anyway, we decided it would be fun to try and solve a level 6 because why not. We each had our own puzzle, we grabbed the Sqaure puzzle, and it took us about 20-25 minutes but we both solved it and figured out the trick. So, thank you for your videos and in a way contributing to a great idea for a date
Think that was my fave intro! Great vid. As always.
That was a VERY AESTHETICALLY PLEASING intro!
Who else would love to watch a puzzle creator to react/watch Chris solve their puzzle?
Love the time laps it was perfect
your vids are already worth it just because of the br-oll already😁 please don't stop with that, its borderline soothing
That was insane! Well Done!
Beautiful introduction. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Love your videos .... They're awesome ...
I’m unsure on the timer... he hasn’t posted in a week so I think he’s been doing this puzzle that whole time 😂😂😂 xx
Dude I love your puzzle videos. Please keep up the good content. Also, how in the hell did you turn the folded red card to a folded blue card in a previous video??
i really liked this one. i know it hurt your brain but you did figure it out so well done mate!
Me watching you keep backtracking: "you're killing me Smalls!"
Counting down the steps really is a good strategy for preserving your sanity. Though, almost becoming insane in the process, the result is always worth it.
Reminds me of the puzzle with the rings and in order to free each ring you've got to free the one before it but all the others need to be locked on- leading to a sequence where you're working your way up the rings freeing and releasing them over and over...
This sorta makes me think of The Tower of Hanoi [game] which is a purely mathematical thing but kind of fun to mess around with. The pattern is super obvious and you can easily write a program to do it for you but the number of moves for it increases by a lot for each extra ring. To be exact, the number of moves is 2^n -1. So 10 rings is.. 1023 moves. Anyways, the way the moves are done is similar in feel to your puzzle here and makes me wonder if the Tower of Hanoi was their inspiration when making the puzzle.
Sounds like Satie. It’s a beautiful introduction. Quiet and understated with a subtle, simple elegance.
Intro was amazing. Super talented
Your puzzle collection are so goooooood👌
Please can u give some hints about the card mentalism trick that u performed 2 years ago in a barber's shop. Really was an awesome trick
My love for puzzles started when I was just a kid like 6 or 7 . Watching my brother play resident evil and silent hill . Amazing
Funny when he started counting the moves, like he was gonna get it first time around.
Well HOT DANG! Now this is a puzzle box worthy of the RamFam
This is actually an amazing puzzle box
Your vids are so relaxing
I was expecting to see Chris over at Lock Picking Lawyer's channel yesterday. He solved a lock puzzle(gifted by Mr. Puzzle).
Oddly satisfying watching him solve in time lapse 😆
Hey Chris. I’ve always loved cards and magic but never knew where to go with it until I found your channel. you’re my inspiration. I was wondering how I could support you and show my gratitude to you this channel and the community your building. Thanks love your videos and everything you do man. Get back to me, Thomas.
Haven't watch the video yet just like to pause it and tell you if I was another good opening video, looks like you always put a good effort into your opening videos thanks a lot, now back to the show I'll finish watching the video lol
Another great video Chris 🔥 intro btw
You have more patience than I do... but this is still really relaxing to watch you figure out.
Cool puzzle! Oh and nice song too~
We need more of these types of puzzles am I right people
Interesting puzzle. It's almost like a mechanical counter of sorts, where each unique position can correspond to a number that counts sequentially. Or maybe I have no clue what I'm watching. I think a full timelapse would look pretty neat.
Beautiful aesthetic intro. I have OCD and the symmetry was so pleasing, nice touch with the calming music. Made me feel relaxed. Thank you. P.S., can you sell me two decks of V1s? I've been asking since the V3s came out, i was hoping today would be the the day you said yes... 🤔😀😀😀
I hope to see some street performance at some point - you have a talent for interacting with people that I really enjoy. I’d say that’s what sets you apart from other magicians and also what makes you great as a CZcamsr. Keep having fun!
Chris, the way to do it is full out on move of the other full in one move over and over and over again
The intro was beautifully shot!
It's solved .... Great job 👍
I love your content especially the puzzles
100th like too
