    Great puzzle, Mr. Puzzle! I’d love to see more videos like this where instead of showing the 5-40mins (condensed to ~10mins) unaltered solve, you walk through the solution as you did here (with hints of red herrings and pitfalls, of course). Then! At the end, You show a very short montage (1min) of your actual on-camera solve with the time clock in the lower corner. In other words, we get the detailed puzzle solve first and then a short blooper reel at the end. Could be a fun format to try out!

    What happens if you live in a hot place where the room temperature itself is 35-40 deg C?

    The B roll is very good. Nice touch for the spoiler break.
    Hope you are well, looking forward to coming to Germany soon as I can. Travel restrictions. :(
    Best,
    Eric :)

    The Book of Fire was kind of obvious... my first instinct when seeing a giant flame symbol would be to use heat on it

    OH MY LORD I HAVE THAT ALCATRAZ PUZZLE AND I HAVE NEVER BEEN ABLE TO SOLVE IT.
    The one i have is quite a bit older i think. It at the very least predates their internet webpage. You have to physically write to them for a solution if you want it and include return postage.
    I got it when I was really young and honestly forgot about it until i saw it here.

    Great video and very cool puzzle. I'm not sure I would ever get it though, because most puzzles are self-contained. Will it turn transparent if you hold your hand on it long enough? If not, the solution is a little to out there unless I had a better hint than the finger print and example. I just wouldn't think I need outside tools.

    • @groreistad5234
      @groreistad5234 Před 3 lety +4

      Sethusk I agree. I thought that the fact that the black dot turned transparent with your fingerprint was a hint that the surface would do the same if you put your hand on it.

    • @Mr.Puzzle
      @Mr.Puzzle  Před 3 lety +1

      Not sure it the hand would be enough. I think breathing in might work.

    • @tjthompson3270
      @tjthompson3270 Před 3 lety

      Well duhh of course it will work, why else would the hint be a finger print if you are not supposed to put your hand on it to reveal the puzzle that way?? It should after all easily be solvable without using an extra (electric) tool right.. Also he said between 25-30 degrees Celcius, the human body is around 37 degrees Celcius from inside, so outside probably is a little colder than that but after a few minutes putting your hand on it flat, it should become perfectly visible I would say!
      Super cool puzzle BTW, Thnx 4 sharing it!!

    very cool method of revealing the solution! though as you said, the solution could still be found by sheer luck/trial and error. it would be awesome to see a puzzle where the locking mechanism uses some kind of material that expands/contracts with heat, so that the actual method of unlocking is to apply heat with a flame or blow dryer or something
