Hearing you speak of encountering tunnels the first time amuses me, because it really makes sense when you've grown up in the Netherlands. I lived in the Netherlands for 5 years and it was so alien compared to Norway where I'm from. There's actually a roundabout in the undersea tunnel where I live and another undersea tunnel nearby has a intersection that leads to a different island. I always bring tourists to the tunnel with the roundabout because it melts people's brains seeing it :D

To let you know, Evelien. When you were looking for Plasma you went to a town full of houses. You found a gas station and it had a glowing vending machine. That machine can give you items like detailing and paints & camo.
hey Gab, something I found out recently is if you set off the shocked tourists they sometimes drop plasma! I was crying on the inside the whole time you were looking for plasma but passing them lmao.

Tip 1: Always get all the anchors in a perpetual stability zone BEFORE continuing on with the story mode. It's free energy!
Tipe 2: And make more storage for your car. You can have 4 sideracks. I use one for a lightning rod/turbine/water collector for the battery and the other three are storage. Then when I unlocked both roof racks I use one for storage and the other has the resource satellite. That way you can go on longer runs and not worry about what you should leave behind.

Some tips - 1 - those numbers on the left side by your abilities are to read your battery. The red ones on top are your current charge, and will have arrows going up or down as you use your battery or recharge it, like from your wind generator. The yellow ones on the bottom are your max charge.
2 - when unlocking blueprints for crafted items, the bottom left box lists the ingredients the blueprint needs, in icon form at least. This can help you plan your unlocks so you don't unlock a blueprint you can't build because you haven't found the required materials yet!
3 - I loved the Resource Radar, as it will ping a rather large area around you and reveal materials you haven't discovered yet, and will also ping trucks, cars, fuel cans, lead shielding, etc.
4 - Don't forget your outfit! Some outfit upgrades prevent anomalies from stealing things out of your hand, others protect you from all radiation 2.5 and under
5 - all anchors hurt because they're radioactive and you're holding them. It's a slow ouchy, upgrading your outfit can reduce the damage or block it altogether.
6 - those yellow barrels flopped on the ground are fuel containers, helpful if there aren't any gas stations or arda fuel tankers on the map.
7 - squires (the yellow cars with roof racks) have armor parts, if you ever want to gather some for scrapping or for your own use. A liberator will take the panels and doors right off! I feel like they tend to have better loot than other broken down cars too.
8 - stealing anomalies will be distracted by flares and play with lit flares instead of you!
9 - the swamp coral, those rocks with pink things growing out of them, can be harvested by hand or with a regular hand vac. They react to light, so if a flare, flashlight, or car headlights will make the pink coral appear and you can grab it without a thermal vacuum
10 - your car kept getting messed up because of the shaggy scramblers, which will pull themselves closer to you. You can destroy them by shooting them with a flare gun
11 - tourists drop items when destroyed, thermo sap from regular tourists and plasma from shocked tourists (also plastic). You can throw a flare at one to start a chain reaction, if they're close enough to each other. It's not the BEST way to get those materials, but it is a way.
12 - flares and flare guns are also effective ways of dealing with those scary tour buses, just be mindful you aren't close to them or any possible chain reaction.
13 - the belching barnacle anomaly you need for a blueprint is that giant green glowing mass that spits out rotten eggs. I thought for sure you scanned it already but guess not?
14 - there is actually a decent amount of time between the storm warning and the wall of red death (unless you've triggered it by opening a gateway). That yellow warning zone of the map can become packed with goodies, as you saw things spawning like the anchor energy. There will also be purple triangles on your map that are basically supply drops crashing in that yellow zone. Just be careful not to get sidetracked and stick around too long!
15 - if you ever notice or hear items dropping behind you, like plastic, med packs, or wheels, there is probably a tourist nearby. This isn't a tip, just so you don't get confused if a bunch of spare tires suddenly drop on your head!

So, in the last video, I commented about chemicals. How you should save it and not waste it on repair putty. After a lot of time on google, I realized that the only things that use chemicals are repair putty and battery upgrades. So I would say, as long as you take your time to loot properly, you'll be fine until you unlock the blowtorch. Which is good to have as a priority upgrade. Also: look at that handsome boy! BB! ❤️❤️
You only get them from transmuters for shitty trades or research trailers SOMETIMES. It’s definitely best to save them if you can. I usually use putty for big repair, and use the blowtorch for the smaller top up stuff. I seem to never have enough chemicals, marsh eggs, and thermosap crystals.

I finished the game recently and the advice I would give you based on what you said in your video is that I made all my doors, armor plated versions, and I made all the panels for radiation protection.

Here is a tip. Take advantage of the side rack and roof rack. You can add upgrade on the side rack that can recharge your battery. You can add an item scanner or more storage on the roof rack.

I was worried this wasn't going to come back. And funny enough I just got to this part of the game last night. Though delaying going further until I get more Armoured stuff. The LIM shield does a great job handling incidental acid and lightning. It does not block Pickpockets.
Those f-ing pickpockets. Let me know if there's something you can do to prevent them. I'm also at the deep zone crossing point of the game.
@@bumbinelson Throw something useless at them like a flare. Otherwise avoid them. You should have enough practice at avoiding things by now unless you turned off gateway storms.

Yeah, the "Diagnostics Required" means there are 2 other unknown quirks (which if you really want, you can save before trying and then guess randomly). But they may fix themselves on their own. I had a good quirk (something like "Car drive fast, all doors close") so I left it, and eventually it went away.
As for the tunnel thing, completely normal to me, but where I grew up, I had to go thru a tunnel to the next major city, which I did on a regular basis, esp summers

I went to Belgium last summer and oh boy was that super mega surreal to see such flat landscape. I'm from Norway, we basically have mountains everywhere lmao. It was very fun and I loved it so much though. Growing up me and my brother had this game where you have to hold your breath before entering the tunnel and to keep it until you are out, some times my parents would slow down to make us suffer, haha!

I truly believe the story is building up to an amazing climax. What happened this episode hit hard. The bedroom instead of his bedroom. I was wondering.
The first few episodes I thought Francis and Oppy had a thing going after Alan’s death. I was happy to be wrong. Makes what happened even worse though. Especially if they use it as a plot point to get Francis to blossom into the genius that Oppy was try to force him to become.
Maybe solve the entire situation?
I just find it amazing that this kind of complex writing is in video game. That is a great thing.

I've never played myself before, so these are all purely observations from your playthrough that I've picked up. Hopefully some of them can help!
From what I've noticed, the only reoccurring problem you seem to be having on longer drives is storage space, rather than gas or battery issues. You've been doing really well on both of those! It might be worth it to invest in backseat storage or something though, because it looks like you have two spots to put things back there. So one could be the gas upgrade, and one could be the storage. Adding more racks in general seems like a good idea to me.
Speaking of things to make, I could definitely be wrong, but I don't believe you've made the seat detector that puts your car in park when you get out yet? That sounds like a very useful thing to have, especially when running to grab the anchors on the way out.
Bumper wise, you've currently got two different devices on bumpers, the one to keep the bunnies away and the high powered shield. Just something to keep in mind before unlocking bumper upgrades, because you'd have to swap one of those out if you want a regular bumper.
Last thing, again I could be wrong, but have you been using the abilities from the devices? Like the menu with the skid brake that lets you drift around corners and things. There's a lot going on all the time, so I see how it'd be easy to forget those exist. I also have a bad habit of not noticing things right under my nose though, so that could also be it 😂
I've been so obsessed with this series that I actually got myself a copy of the game, but I haven't played it yet. I even splurged on the extra special space decals edition. They just look so pretty, and the glow in the dark is so useful for finding your car without draining battery! I can't decide if I want to experience the ending myself first, or watch your playthrough first. I've been enamored since episode 1 though.
I also wanted to mention really quickly, I adore seeing you interact with BB. I recently lost my little boy, Shadow, who was almost 16 years old! He also had diabetes, but it was his bladder issues that ultimately caused trouble. Seeing you interact with BB, and care for him so tenderly and with so much love, but with a little side of playfulness, has been so healing for me. Thank you for letting all of your fans experience a bit of BB's life with you. ❤

Sadly, there isn't an all-purpose panel/door. Olympium is an upgrade to Armored parts, so no elemental resistances whatsoever, but excellent physical resistance.
You can try to mix and match parts to give your car a bit of everything, but then it just winds up being moderately weak to everything.
Personally, I like going with mostly Olympium parts. Most damage I took was physical anyway, and the stacking physical protection from adjacent Olympium parts means your car can really take a beating. Of course, get hit by an electrical or acid anomaly and it's gonna hurt. However, if a Left/Right runs you into a tree or something, not so bad.
I have been terrible at avoiding the electrical anomalies so I made my panels all insulated and doors armored. It’s really helped!
@@bweber02 Yeah, that's basically what I was trying to say without actually saying it - pick the kind of resistance that you personally have the most trouble with, and protect yourself against that.

Despite being a VERY hilly state and upper part of the Appalachian Trail, I've not encountered any tunnels in Maine. I think the first time I encountered a cool tunnel was Boston and what was spookier was we went UNDER the water for that tunnel.

I grew up in a valley surrounded by mountains, and even now when I drive through tunnels it's still a little odd. It's like temporarily going to another world with no sky, and yes-- the infinite weight of all that rock bearing down on you.
Gabs I think you can put paint and decals in the same thing the bobble head is stored also I think the belching barnacle is the thing that spews rotten eggs it has a green light shooting up before it shoots
The first time I did Dr Cay's lab, I had to redo it because the through point was locked and I couldn't go back to the main area of the map and open a portal. I was pissed but I turned on "keep inventory on failed run" cause it was a damn story map so it shouldn't have happened in the first place.

How to tell if there's a cliff or steep hill on your map. There's wobbly circles/lines on your map, they look like when you cut wood and there's circles to show age, the more circles in the wood, the older the tree? The closer together the circles/lines on the map, the steeper the slope. The will usually collect into one little circle in the middle, that's usually the top of a slope. Big far apart circles = flat, tight many circles = very steep. ❤ happy offroading.

The drain on your battery keeping your headlights on is kind of negligible, especially when you start carrying around battery repairing devices so I usually keep mine on at night or in interiors.
