I was sitting at our local cat cafe, and one of the "kittens" (he's about 1) is growing slightly more affectionate. He came over to the table I was at, and after trying to taste my drink and lay on my notebooks, he settled down and started to watch this with me. I had my phone propped up and it was fun watching him watch you. :)
He's a little white cat named Mildew (not my choice of names, but it's thematic to the place), but I call him Dewey. I'll have to show him some of your other HOGs to see if I can get him hooked. I definitely enjoy them!

As a life-long fan of the Nancy Drew games, I personally think this engine would have suited the game style much better than what they tried to do with the last one. I completely agree with you.

When the Theater dude tries to shoot the detective and the mini game pops up I immediately thought:

I love how throughout the video the bee at the bottom in the corner of the screen was shaking it’s little butt 😂😂😄
My favorite part about these games is the 'why is that happening' reaction when you complete a puzzle and the game just does something completely different from what you'd expect, like 23:42
The casual "Thank you murder child!" honestly made my day.
I liked how Gab was wondering if something happened to Ursula after all, clicks on the photo after and just doesn't see the mc saying "I'm sorry Ursula, I was too late." xD comedic timing

I am absolutely fine with bees, but wasps make me panic!
Bee storytime! I was walking home in a terrible rain storm one day, and felt a really intense tickle on my leg, just below my knee. There was a fuzzy fat bumblebee clinging onto me for dear life and trying to get some shelter under the overhang of my denim skirt. I shooed it off, but it immediately went straight back to my leg.
So I walked home with this bee under my knee, trying to protect it a bit with the umbrella that kept trying to rip out of my hands in the wind. My house at the time was the first in a mews so our door was under the archway of the old coaching entrance and quite well protected. I shooed the bee off again before going inside and it settled itself on the underside of the arch, where I assume it stayed until the storm ended. He was just the cutest little fuzzball and I'm glad i could help, although I expect he was *really* lost after being blown about on the storm and then going for a walk with me.

Check out the book Endless Forms. It describes the difference between our perceptions of wasps and bees and how that can backfire environmentally (wasps are huge pollinators, just as valuable as bees) although wasps by and large are fascinating creatures that don’t want to harm us.

They actually did a little while back! There are a few Nancy Drew "dossier" titles that are hidden object games.
the logic of "oh no, don't walk through the front door, let me instead be noise and climb ind right next to the front door" ... makes no sense XD
It's funny, because if I remember correctly "Who goes there" was partially inspired by Lovecraft's "Mountains of madness", and later Carpenter, when he was making his own adaptation of "The thing", brought it back to its true cosmic horror roots :) It's my favorite movie of all time.

The editing during her finding stuff in the picnic basket was so smooth, I didnt notice there had been any editing at all to be honest until all the sudden the three items left in the basket were magically found

I think your perception of 🐝's is wrong; I don't think 🐝's will attack or sting unless you provoke it or it directly lands on you. I understand why you would want to be catious around 🐝. Also, more if your allergic to 🐝 stings...

Hey Gab :) There is one game from Big Fish I played years upon years ago that REALLY really spooked me. It's called Dire Grove! Maybe you'd want to check it out? It's a hidden objects game and I still remember how genuinely scared I was playing it.

If you are looking for a game with purely hidden object screens, then you should Hidden Expedition Amazon or Everist. They are pretty fun, but they are longer that the normal HOG games.
Since you have a knack for hidden object games, you might like the Dark Parables games.
It’s on big fish games, and the games themselves are fairy tale “retelling” where you play a detective, with more action to the tales.
The plots and art are beautiful and the games are slightly linked together with mentions to previous cases and characters reappearing.
Now the first two are called “the Curse of Briar Rose” and “The Exiled Prince”, but the games are a little older quality. But I personally started with the third game “Rise of the Snow Queen” and it didn’t affect my understanding of the plot.
The highlight of the whole video was bebe, he stole the whole show! So precious so sweet!
Just so you know bees don't want to sting you. Wasps and hornets are jerks and want to sting you. If a bee stings you you must of had your hand in the nest.
Idk why but Mr.Sheen reminds me of Preminger, the old dude from that Barbie movie “The Princess and the Pauper”. I don’t know if it’s because of the way he looks or the way he speaks but he faintly reminds me of him.

Strange Investigations: Not the BEES!
HOGs are so funny bc everyone and their businesses are messy. They just left a wrench on top of movie theater posters and junk inside of the newspaper stand and a broken cane in the catch part of a popcorn machine. THEY BOLTED HALF OF THE ENTRANCE KEY ONTO ONE OF THE MOVIE ADS!

Ahhh I use to play Big fish games with my sister all the time, her and I bought the Briar rose game so that we could finish it. Totatlly worth the money. I would recommend that one, please play more, these are so good.
Definitely think Gab should check out the Enigmatis HOG series. One of my favorites that I’ve played. There’s 3 games total. Another series that was always cool is the Snarkbuster series. I forget how many games they made but I think it was probably a Big Fish Game or something. The stories have steampunk themes and you play as a person hunting this mysterious creature. I always had a blast playing them as a kid.
