This was definitely a step up from Midnight in Salem. Even Nancy's Voice Actress's performance was better (though I do agree the pacing is a bit off still.) Overall her performance, though, felt more like Nancy than her first go in Salem. This also looked a lot better than Salem did, in my opinion. The character models and sets looked more textured and I suppose more dimensional in this, too. Everything in Salem just felt a bit, unfinished or too perfect. Everything here I think is a step up from the last game and I look forward to the next one! Thank you for this wonderful playthrough! It was quite lovely!
The lighting still needs a lot of work though. Especially outdoor lighting. The puppet show area had no lighting compared to the area where the Computer store area was. I can forgive bad baked in lighting if it's consistent.
This game has been really fun! I have my critiques, but I genuinely think they did a good job. I can't wait for what they have next in store. Hopefully, they keep getting better and better.
This clock puzzle hurts my brain and I am not even doing the puzzle. I don't think I have the brain power for Nancy Drew games but I love watching you play them, Evelyn.
I’ve been a fan of the Nancy drew games since I was a kid and I was really sad about how the Salem game turned out after the long wait and hype for it. This has been a huge improvement from that and it’s made me excited to see where the games will go from here. Thanks gab for playing and enjoying them like you do💜
This was such a good addition to the Nancy series, the puzzles were so good and fun, and clever. I love it when they do stuff that involves witchy things like alchemy and astonomy, its always so good when they dip their toes in paranormal mystery. The entire game was so charming, the atmosphere, the home base being a cafe, the essentric characters, the ridiculously fast running thats so similar to when you speed click down a hallway in the old games. The way they make everyone feel like a viable suspect was really well done in this game, Vladana being both the red herring and a cocospirator with Elka was well done, because when Vladana was found out and Elka wanted to help Nancy and gave that speech, I almost believed her. I do really like the characters in this one, but I do miss the characters like Lukas or Dr. Hotchkiss and, well, really everyone in the Lost Queen game they were all so silly and funny, and someone always has a line that sends me, and I hope they bring that back in the next game. I feel like there were two missing threads that maybe are either easter eggs or mechanics we simply didnt see in this playthrough, and thats the card game with Leo, and the owner of the necklace, who it seemed to be hinted at being Patricia, or at the very least Patricia would be more than what she seemed but it was never realized. I agree with you that this is such a more refined game than the salem one, and as long as they keep improving as they have been the next game is going to be so killer.
Awesome new Nancy Drew game. I agree the beginning felt a little slow with puzzles but it picked up pretty quick. I think Nancy's voice actor could use a little work. She felt a little too AI/ robotic at times. But that's just me. I hope there will be a Haunted House rendition in new Nancy movies. Those are always my favorite. With lots of family lore to discover. So happy you are still playing these games!
I really hope they make another nancy game. One with a little more on the Hardys or Bess n George, or one leaning more into spooky stuff. Salem sorta tried and this one had the chase scenes, but neither are as strong as the classic scary nancy games; shadows at the waters edge and ghost of thornton hall, both mentioned in the first few minutes of this game. Imagine how the free roam would feel in that.

I feel like my only real feedback for this game is that I agree with your thing about the voices, I think speeding the speech up like you suggested would make them feel a lot more natural. My other thing is that some of the puzzles didn't feel very intuitive at all, and I ended up having to search through the strategy guide a couple times, even playing with multiple people. Other than that, fantastic game, and I really hope we get more soon!
the only thing that bugs me about most of nancy games is that they dont hire a single person from the country where the story is based :(( there was a LOT of grammatical errors
The improved animations are really nice. I like the improvements they have done with the game. It will be nice if there isn't too much time between games. I don't think I ever read a Nancy Drew book but I have read several of the Hardy Boys. Watching these Nancy Drew play-thru's is quite nostalgic. I also feel like I should have suspected Elka much earlier on. When she commented about not telling Radak, there was something odd about the way she said that.

I was hoping the Dean's secretary was really the guy from Blackmoor Manor at his new job once I heard he was British but sadly, that's not the case. It would have been a great callback, especially since there's haunted tours here as well.

I really enjoyed watching Gab play this! It helped with my own playthrough. However, I really did not like the quality of this game. Compared to all the older ones, it is... very lacking. It makes me sad that they did not continue with the way the old games were 😔

In the beginning the nancy voice seemed ok, but slowly its gotten on my nerves. Especially since she sounds like the robot- ticktock voice.. wish we could have the voice from the older games :(
I you're gonna stream these types o games, you really should tell your chat not to just tell you outright everything you need to do next. It's alot more enjoyable to watch the LPer igure out puzzles and riddles rather than just have chat give you all the answers...
Nancy's voice acting was beyond awful. Made the game practically unplayable. Many of the puzzles were absurd with hardly any prompting on what to even do - which took all the fun out of it. I almost didn't finish. They did get the Unity mechanics down finally, and the other voice actors were great. But there is so much room for improvement. Especially if they are going to give us the modern controls, at least actually give us more locations to explore. It was way too small a world. Very frustrating. 2.5 stars.
I love almost all the voice acting except sadly Nancy needs to work on being more natural because more of her lines are super over the top and robotic 😢 but the other actors all did such a good job!
