Tip for those who are lactose intolerant and have to use whey isolate instead of casein: if you want a thick batter/ice cream like consistency add xanthan gum (about a teaspoon or so, you don't need a lot) to thicken. Alternatively a non-dairy creamer works as well though you'll need a few tablespoons worth to achieve the same consistency which will add more calories.
I just thought that if you blend the mixture to get a smoother consistency, you could add some flax seeds beforehand. This should thicken the mixture a bit too
If you're in the States and trying to find jam like that without the added sugar, look for "Extra Jam". That's the term I've found it under in the past.
Extra jam has no extra sugar?
@@nikilragav Extra jam has a higher percentage of fruit pulp and, consequently, a lower percentage of sugar.
For anyone who doesnt want to use protein powder: Use storebought egg whites. They are like 11g protein and 46 kcal per 100 ml, they add great consistency and along with the milk/yogurt, oats, some chia seeds etc you can easily get the recipe to 30g protein or more
the only downside is that you can't make overnight oats with egg whites, you must cook them to kill bacteria
@@riskezyou can cook the oats with the egg whites as if you were going to eat them hot & then just let them cool & put in the fridge overnight 🙌 I do this all the time & you actually get more volume than just using powder!
@@riskez Store bought egg whites in a bottle are pasteurised
Your body cannot use the protein in uncooked egg whites
or just use protein powder
I love cooking and staying lean and mean, I discovered your channel about 9 months ago looking for overnight oats recipe ideas, seriously thus far your channel has been my favorite CZcams discovery of 2023, all of your recipes are awesome! Love that you don't carb shame and list macros for everything, I recommend your channel all the time om Reddit, you deserve a lot more subscribers! Keep making awesome videos friend!
Thank you so much!
Always love your whey vs. casein visual explainers! I make some variations of your apple and pumpkin oats all the time so I'm excited to try these.
Sounds great! I do this because I still think that the majority of people still don't know that casein even exist
Some did not know yes, but the price of casein is a chunk more expensive than normal protein powder for the rest majority.
I was so excited to see you posted another protein overnight oats video and I can’t wait to try these! 😀
I love all the tips you give that a lot of other people don’t bother with, really makes the video educational too!
Thank you!
I made the strawberry one and it turned out great. So delicious!
More killer recipes and thank you for actually stating that whey is terrible for baking
Yeah, whey isn't the greatest for baking sadly
since i started using your ovenight oats base. this is basically turned into my daily breakfast. thank you so much, this made hiting protein at low calories so much easier
First overnight oats recipe video where I actually feel like i'll try this
Man, amazing recipes, you got a subscriber!
Been tracking macros for 8 years and the jar trick blew my mind… How have I not thought of that… Amazing videos!!
Casein vs whey. I always enjoy your explanation
Best overnight oats video in a while
Great recipes I have been following! The only thing is that I have a huge stock of Whey protein, and it's hard justifying buying casein protein just for one recipe. The one tweak that I made is to just add less water! That way you can still get a creamy rather than runny consistency. It may not be exactly as creamy as yours, but for those who wish to still use whey protein, it is doable!
I was thinking that adding some chia seeds would make a more pudding like consistency if you were using whey protein. Just an idea.
Thanks for explaining the difference in whey and caising hellps a lot ❤
That tiramisu sounds so good 🤤
I added PB2 one, half tbsp of sugar free hazelnut syrup, it was amazing❤ thank you!!
thanks for the video! looks really good :) , I wanted to ask if you can use magerquark instead of Skyr, just because i have extra magerquark in the fridge atm and thought it would be good idea for this week breakfasts. (specially the teramisu one!) have a nice weekend
Thank you very much, i m alternating tiramisu and pb along the week.
Those are my favorites breakfasts now.
Thanks Felu
Relatable!
nice, gonna try the Tiramisu tomorrow🔥
Whut the thumbnail looks like they are parfaits or ice cream! Never would have thought they are overnight oats 😍 thanks for sharing!
Thank you!
That reverse jar trick earned your like 😂
ayo your actually like the only youtuber whos recipies i try for myself and i already ate the "orignial" choc peanutbutter version of this in a video you did a while back. Immediatly ate it for 3 weeks straight and now this? say no more bro.
Thank you!
Extrem gutes Video, Dankeschön :)
casein the game changer. I will never not like a felu vid.
Today was a fifth day in a row that I ate those. Really delicious :)
Definitely going to be trying the strawberry one soon. Just bought your cookbook by the way, very excited to start trying all the recipes!
Thank you :)
Did it taste good?
@@vickyz9405 yeah it's pretty nice!
This is what I’ve been waiting for. Need to be turned into shorts too!
perfect breakfast for me and do not forget the salt , its important ! :)
i have tiramisu protein powder so this is perfect
my cooking skills with Overnight oats are gonna go from lvl1 to lvl10 with this Felu recipes! lets gooo!! i love anything cheesecake too ❤, there is a Jam/jelly that has 35calories per TBS if you look hard enough, which are a little bit more runny but good alternative too those with sweet tooth. As for your LMnT have you tried combining it with Glycerol? would help alot for those intense dehydrating activities
35 cals per tbs is crazy low, never seen here in germany but I will look out for it. I never tried glycerol tbh, I use 1 serving of lmnt with 1 litre of water in every workout
@@Felu the one i use is Kirkland Organic strawberry spread, and its 40calories( i was off by 5) but its really delicious, the glycerol i came upon when i was looking for ways to stay hydrated on my summer day bike riding, the brand i found was Gorilla-mind, sure there are other carriers
I made this with 100 g of yogurt and a full scoop of protein powder, and 130 g of water, instead of 150 g, half a scoop, and 100 g. It came out really well
The Tiramisu is insanely good
I've been trying to find some breakfast recipes 300 cal and below, it would be great to see more recipes like this where you can lower the portion size and get to that amount
Great idea! Will try to incoprorate this in future videos
Anything I could substitute to make this dairy free? I am very lactose intolerant :(
is the entire bowl one serving or does it separate into multiple servings of the macros you mentioned?
Felu, I remember from your other recipes you like it sweet. Wonder that your Tiramisu Oats don’t have sweetener at all. Did you change your preference or forgot to mention in your recipe? For myself I add some Erythrit and I’m super happy.
BTW your recommend instant oats, in the video I guess to see Köln Blütenzart Oats, which are the regular ones in Germany. I tried the real Köln Instant Oats, these are much creamier and make me so happy.
Many thanks for your great recipes, I already have your cookbook which is a gamechanger 👍
Thank you for the ideas! All I need now is to have Google convert all of this to freedom units...
Yay new vid
What can I use as a protein powder substitute?
Amazing 💯🔝
Hi! Can we microwave it after taking it out of the refrigerator? It would seem better in the winter time...
Do you have ideas for a savory overnight oats recipe? I like sweeter things, but my partner enjoys more savory options.
Do a bit of light cream cheese and smoked salmon chopped up in it
Strawberries are found to have the most pesticides of any friut so maybe go for another friut?
I would like to try the PB Overload, but only use PB2 for it... How much more PB2 and water would you recommend? Thanks a lot!
Is it possible to do this mix with crushed rice cakes for people who is intolerant of oats? Thank you!
I made tiramisu oats yesterday and OH MY GOD! It's like im eating desert for breakfast IM IN LOVE
I must've bookmarked half of these in the cookbook 😂 I was wondering, would using chocolate casein powder instead of vanilla be too noticeable?
It will be noticable yes but it will be still good imo
These recipes look so appetising! What can we substitute Skyr with?
Thank you, best would be greek yogurt but any plain yogurt will work
Is it possible to replace casein or protein powder with something else? Or does it ruin the entire recipe if it's removed? I've never done overnight oats so I have no clue about the do's and don'ts
You don’t need protein powder at all, it’s very unusual to add it. I personally add a tablespoon of peanut butter for a bit of protein but just oats and milk or even water will work. Then you can add whatever fruit etc you like.
Hello Felu, the recipes are amazing and so delicious.
How long do they last in the fridge?
Can I make 3 dishes for the next 3 days?
Best regards,
Frederic
Yes, 3 days is perfect!
I was just thinking this! I get sick if I have anything with lactose.
How can u stop the whey making it dry cus i rlly need to use mine up
If I increase the portions do these meal prep well?
What is the best substitute for Skyr for these recipes: plain or vanilla non-fat greek yogurt?
Plain and if you can find the 2% Fage that would be perfect
Sugar free strawberry jam can reduce the calories further
Have you ever considered doing a scones recipe?
I remembered seeing a blueberry scone recipe on Instagram when I saw your last recipe
I never thought about scones but I will write this on my list!
Can we use greek yogurt instead of the one ur using
Nice. Protip: Fat is an essential nutrient and will help keep you feeling full for longer and mitigate the carb ups and downs. Most of these recipes are too low in fat IMO. Use more real peanut butter, full fat yogurt, or sprinkle with nuts/seeds/cocoa nibs at time of consumption. You can also mix in chia seeds which gel up adding a nice consistency and help keeps you feeling full. I try to keep my diet at around 1/3 calories from fat, otherwise I'm just on an all day carb roller coaster.
Oats for dayyyys!!
Great work as always.
Is it unflavor casein? Or vanilla?
Thank you
I always use vanilla
Your recipes are awesome dude! I find Casein protein much more tasty than whey.
This was sooooo yummy :D:D
Can I use fat free Greek yogurt instead of skewer?
Casein makes me throw up 😭
Only casein? Not milk or whey? 😮 What about lactose free casein?
@@gasparsigma You stupid?
can we use vegan protein as well? thanks
Does everyone else have the casein taste in the oats or were you able to mask it with other ingredients. I had to always eat some banana with the oats to mask the artificial casein flavor. Im using casein from myprotein
I love your recipes :) 🤍
What can I use in place of skyr?
danke bruder
For the blueberry chocolate, is it 50 or 150g of blueberries? The video and the description have different numbers
Some great recipes, I'm all about trying to get the calories and bulk though. Been trying to bulk for 4 years now and have only lost more weight 😅
Amazing Recipe ! Can't wait to try this, I've been having overnight oats too but a bit different, I use: whey, blended oats as its less chewy, greek yogurt, chia seeds, and fruits (occasionally I add PB).
Just a quick question: Whats the main difference between Whey and Caseine? and should I switch, as I've always used whey, but if caseine is better, I could try that too!
I made a video on my channel where I explain the difference between Whey and Casein, that will explain a lot. It's only 6 minutes long
@@Felu thank you so much Felu, apologies I haven't seen that yet as I only found your channel! Amazing ❤️
you`re definitely getting to 1M subs in 2024!
That would be sick!
How long do they last in the fridge?
Do you microwave it in the morning?
The tiramisu definitely struck my interest. Can you warm it up? Or is this strictly a cold breakfast?
Hi. I excitedly gathered all the ingredients. But I have tried two of the above and I am rather disappointed.
The only two differences I can see is : Whey Protein and Yogurt.
Does skyr and Casein make so mucn of a difference?
You got a "like" for the reverse scale trick alone! ;)
What’s the serving size? Or Do you eat the whole thing?
A reminder to my self to return to the overnight oats as a breakfast option, thankyou.
I see that the brands of the food you are using are german and perhaps i might find some of them in my local Lidl supermarket in Sweden.
Yes, I live in germany but these products are available everywhere in europe
If you don't mind. I'm also swedish, let me know what ingredients you find that can be substituted with the ingredients mentioned in the video. It will be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!
These overnight oats actually look good.
Thank you :)
I messed up and ordered unflavoured caesin and not vanilla so my pb overload tastes a little bland and like its missing something, which it clearly is 😂 but otherwise its great!
How long does this keep in the fridge? Looks like each recipe makes a lot of food. I'd have to split it up for maybe 3 days.
Its one serving per recipe
That is 1 serving per recipe. It will last in the fridge for 2-3 days at least
I've eaten this breakfast basically everyday for about a year now:
Mash half a banana in a bowl. Add a good few spoons of skyr. Add a scoop of unsweetened, unflavoured protein powder, I think artifical sweeteners taste like shit. Mix all that smooth, will become surprisingly loose, then mix in oats until you get a pancake texture. Instant oats are the best. Fridge overnight, but can also be ready to go if using instant in like 40 mins.
Do you use the casein powder or whey? :)
Hey what do you think about the Whey vs Casein? Casein seems to be best digested before bed, compared to Whey which can be taken anytime as it`s processed fast. Im thinking of going with Whey and maybe just lowering the water and adding chia for thickness. Thoughts?
Oats themselves make the oatmeal on thick side already. I recently made strawberry one, replacing the fruits with raspberries, and casein with WPI. If you do not want to modify the recipe too much, you can always go with 55-60g of oats instead of 50 as well.
Whey absorbs faster. So here's how I would think about it. How much time do you have between eating. If you have late lunch you can see how casein may be beneficial. But if you eat fairly frequent then it won't make much of a difference there. If you workout right after you eat though you want to do whey because it digests quick and may make it so you may not feel as bloated. But in the purest simple form protein is protein and this is just a slight optimization which ultimately may make no difference in the long term.
Just discovered your channel, love how detailed the recipe’s and descriptions are! Would you also considering uploading some vegan recipes? Find it kinda difficult to find good channels at the level of your content with some vegan high protein fitness recipes. Keep up the great work :)
Thank you! To be honest I'm not a great vegan chef because I'm not a vegan myself so I don't know if my recipes would be that great
In welchem Laden findet man die Marmelade?
I don't know why, but this overnight oats.. I can't trust that I'm gonna like it as it looks so raw for me 😅. I've seen a lot of body builders talking about it but just the fact that it is similar to the mixture I use for pancake, makes me unwilling to eat it before cooking it.
Maybe I'll try a small amount for the taste-testing.
Why does 1:20 make me anxious. Like he shakes it so violently to try to get half out but dumps it all in lol
As an Instant Oat, please eat the Raw Oats, i’m not ready to die
I just made strawberry one yesterday without knowing you will make this video. It tasted alright but I used rolled oats. Gotta try the other ones too> Tiramisu looks delicious.
note: too bad those LMNT packs are available in the USA.
Do you eat these cold?
How many servings per load?
Gonna take me a second to convert these to imperial measurements but looks good!
