oh man, what a nice surprise this is. I’m one of the guys who made that kitt app and it’s just great to see it working pretty good after such a long time. I’m not sure why there’s many bad reviews though. Being old as it is it probably doesn’t work properly in some circumstances. I know that’s a shame but my team and I are working on different things in these days, every now and then we chat about updating that app, and we’ll talk about it again now that we’ve seen your video. So thanks a lot for this and the nice review on the store!

@@sagshan133 I think this is not available on android store now for reasons I don't know much about, I was in charge of the design and overall user experience so this should be asked to my engineering friends. I think the reason is something about the libraries we used which are not supported by android anymore while apple is more thoughtful about providing compatibility for older stuff, but I might be wrong.

ahhh, sweet nostalgia sweeping over me :) Knight Rider was my jam too back in the 80s, along with Airwolf of course and Riptide. Anybody remember that one ?
Playing my C64 and later Amiga while watching these techy/nerdy shows, what great memories.
And totally agree on the difference the yoke makes with autodrive, it's crazy when you see the yoke move so much.
So...nearly 40 years later we finally are getting really close to fully self driving cars, at least one of the promises of the 80s movies/shows fulfilled....still waiting for my hoverboard and my time travelling flying car though

So imagine the "Limousine" that drives "the "US President" is merge with TESLA and now we have something closer to "KITT". The 80's legit had the best TV shows of all time for kids to grow up watching, and aspiring to replicate some day. Perifractic is making my childhood dream come true. Now all that I need is a Tesla, the KITT stuff, and a driving license.

a driving licence (atleast in the us what i am told) is easy to do the tesla is a bit harder to obtain depending on your financial situation the kitt stuff on the other hand shouldnt be to expensive considering you probably already own a phone

@@SimonBauer7 A driving license costs several thousand bucks where I live, and my financial situation is more like tricycle (used) than Tesla.

The lights are a really cool mod, but make sure you don't have it on while driving: in the USA it is illegal to have red lights on the front of a non-emergency vehicle while on a public road.
I was going to do this to my car about 20 years ago, until I researched the legality of it.

Here in the UK I had a PCB etched about 35 years ago, with a circuit made up by a guy at Glasgow University, the LED's were mounted in a piece of clear hosepipe,
tie wrapped onto the front grill and had the running lights on one of my black 2.8 injection Ford Capris, always got a pull here in Scotland by the old bill, never charged, all they ever wanted was to look at the car, all black and lowered with a full KAT body kit on it, rear electric venetian blinds inside, these were the days, I was 19 at the time :) Awesome job as always with the video :)

Dude I absolutely enjoyed the hell out of your video. Very well done and excellent quality! Loved the airbag gag. You brought a lot of realism to a DIY installation, from the bruised knuckles to the fear of electrocution and the airbag blowing up in your face😆😂. Thank you again for this video. I can now live my childhood dreams vicariously through you...an avid Knight Rider fan. Keep up the superb work on the channel!

As a Knight Rider fan (along with having a crush on Knight Rider and KITT when i was 13) I LOVE this. Thank you CZcams rabbit hole suggestion. Also, giving your dog the little thought bubbles is hilarious! I look forward to seeing part 2.

Next ideas - Black tinted Windows, tinted rear brake lights (if legal) and a full chrome delete, replacing the chrome with matt black 👌

Way before Knight Rider came along most guys just wanted fog lights. That was a big deal back in the early 70's. If one was lucky enough to have fog lights and a C.B. with a set of air horns, to play Dixie. And a nice set of extra wide oversized tires it was considered bad ass. Funny how guys love their toys and how they keep getting more expensive.
