  • What a day out!! warning contains seriously fast ebikes.
    So this week's video is mega guys. Stan has bought a fast high quality ebike from cyclone bikes now known a bear bikes. he's asked me to go for a ride, as I mentioned in last week's video the p3 William needs work but that doesn't stop us going for a mega ride... let's put these things though there paces and see what they can do. The P3 William is my very own prototype ebike its completely hand built from scratch. Go see what I'm I'm talking about in my previous videos. its built using only the best 6082 aluminium making it super lightweight but can it hang with some of the worlds best. Watch to find out more.
    what would you rather DIY or shop bought?
    new videos coming soon
    thanks for watching 👍

      It was a awesome day. We did approximately 30 to 40 miles I didn't record actual miles but it was a good tour of Northumberland haha

    Good to see you out on your bike bud, I'm having a few problems with mine :/ - the bms signals "wire disconnect" then cuts the power but it only happens with full throttle

    • @theebikenut4679
      @theebikenut4679  Před 3 lety +2

      Hmm that sounds like it's the wrong BMS mate if you use to many amps your BMS will cut out. Its awesome having the bike up and running especially with all this nice weather

      @@theebikenut4679 I bet lol figured out the problem - Im using fuse wire and only put a max of 100A (100A controller) - with me using my controller at 80A the fuse got hot and melted parts of my battery casing (cell holders etc..) and the partition that separates both halves being plastic it started to melt through that as well - the bms was tripping because the main + and - were millimeters apart and at higher amperage caused the battery to false short making the bms trip due loss of the negative connection, if you understand? The plastic was acting as a false conductor once heated by the fuse wire cutting negative supply to the bms, but because it was being drained by the controller there wasn't any actual damage to the batteries or bms

      @@theebikenut4679 done it :) I had a little problem with the frame being too small for the battery but a hammer and metal sheers sorted that out lol (it's not waterproof now though :/ but it does move :) not used its full potential yet lol - 100A at 5kw is crazy acceleration lol)

      Think you'll like the thumb throttle mate it means you can keep a good grip on the bars untill you need the power

      @ianmangham4570 Před 3 lety +2

      I remember when i switched from half throttle to thumb throttle,never swapped back,👍🇬🇧THUMBS easily the best ,set mine so my thumbs comfy fully extended ,bars feel way better with nice rubber lock on grips
