2003 Maytag Performa PAV2360AWW Repair Part 1: Disassembly

In this part I disassemble, and inspect the machine to access the failed bearing. Not a difficult job, just time consuming. Should be the same for many of these one belt Herrin platform machines.
It appears most parts are discontinued for these Herrin machines. Go ahead, and get parts while you can!
Parts, and tools I used:
W10219156 Hub seal, and bearing kit, or MAYTAG 21002237, Use OEM, the aftermarket is junk.
Y056016 Center Seal Grease
DT22002922 Suspension Spring Removal Tool
DT22002898 Seal Nut Removal Tool
35-2968 Spanner Wrench
Optional, to go back to older design setup:
21001533 tub nut, and seal. NLA, difficult to find.
12001598, old tub, and bearing kit, NLA, difficult to find.
Spin Bearing p/n: 35-2205
I had to mix, and match on my machine to make the kit work.

Super job on disassembly! I would be subbing the bearing for a ceramic hybrid.But that is just my idea. 😜

Am I right thinking this washer has a plastic inner tub? Never thought Maytag used them but it sure looked like one. I only thought the 2000’s GE washers had them, which I thought was a pretty good design, being impossible to rust, dent, or coating to chip off.

Nice work but would you able to get a 3rd washer if you have enough room like portable direct drive or belt drive washer that is smaller only if you have enough room

@@dynatrak well alright but thx for the video stuff I use to have that Maytag model HAV and it broke because it had several leaks and it replaced by amana topload washer
