    I had a sock stuck in the pump. Thank you, your video helped a lot. Possibly saved me from buying a new machine. So, yes, washing machines really are eating all those missing socks.

    Thank you so much. I live in a remote area where there are no repair men. This is a lifesaver.

      My washer stops after the water fills up but smells burn once the water is filled Can it be this part that’s messed up?

      @@Dan_car_ yes, if you tried different level water and keeps filling up, then yes this is the issue.

    my washer is having these issues but it also started to have white looking smoke come up would this be the motor or would I just need to replace what you did?

    perfect, just what i needed to see. FWIW those pliers are called Channel Locks. AND a great way to drain a full washer is to use a garden hose and syphon it out, as i had to do, since our washer filled but wouldn't run. THANX FOR A GREAT VID!

      rock the main agitator pulley back and forth a few times, mine seemed a little sticky after sitting out side and not running for a while. freeing it up it then turned loosely and worked fine

    My performa spins like a charm, but when I try to wash it agitates for a second or 2 and then it jam's up the agitator quits agitating and the belt starts smokin..... I've had everything apart and can't find any problem, but I did notice the motor slide mechanism seems "Hokey" - it's very tippy... HHHM

      Sounds like the belt could be warn. Tub is lighter empty so with a load, warn belt will slip

    Empty the washer with a shop vac that has a water filter.

    Ok I took the flipping thing apart and replaced the seals, put it all back together and the agitator still isn’t moving during the wash cycle and there a burning smell. I fixed the leaking part but not the agitator. I’m so bummed any ideas? Thanks

      @lousmith84 Před rokem +1

      think the belt may be slipping because it is stuck, rolll the main agitator pulley back and see if its free. mine unstuck and is fine now. the belt now longer slips and runs fine
