With Evercade you literally own the cartridge, no internet required, no DLC or microtransactions, just play straight away!
Same with my hard drive of roms
@@ArcadeCabNBudwow you’re so cool
@@ArcadeCabNBud People call you "Pizza Wheel", because you're all edge and no point.
i get the same effect with a 16tb hard drive that contains almost every game ever made
Apart from the carts that you need to download patches for.
This is a huge release for Evervade! Awesome to be able to own this physically! It made no sense that the remastered collection didnt get a physical release on console. So at least we can own this collection physically now for the Evercade!
I'd like to see a Symphony of the night/DraculaX re-release.Have the Saturn version, and the PSX version all in one bundle.
You forgot the PSP SoTN that was unlockable on Dracula X. It has different voicework + a different-playing Maria 😎👍
Wouldn't that be awesome 🤯
@@TexasHollowEarth I haven't played that since it first came out.I got rid of my psp a long time ago,but I do remember liking the changes that were made.
I want Resident Evil 1-3 to come to Evercade.
I grew up in the 70’s and you’re right. Nothing is like sticking a “Pitfall” cartridge in an Atari 2600 and start playing.
I wish they did the saturn library, feels like its been lost to time. Saturn working designs cart, a panzer dragoon rpg cart or even a full collection of shining force 3 :') thanks for the video!
nah i want the saturn library to remain hard to obtain cause it keeps my collection valuable :3
the hardware has to be updated to handle Saturn emulation first but yeah, Saturn is easily one of the worst systems to play (from a legal standpoint) because every game costs an arm and a leg, re-releases would improve availability by a ton.
@@donaldduck73 Yeah, but I didn't say the Saturn was more powerful than their competitors at the time, I said the Evercade need better hardware if they want to emulate Saturn.
@@donaldduck73 Not much outside of a bunch of RPGs and some platformers but why would you leave out the best games on the system? 🤔
@@random_an0nnah value needs to crash down hard
A Ridge racer collection let's gooo' 🚗💭
This!
Not looking likely, Namco wasn't happy with how the 2 volumes panned out, that's why the Evercade Versus Can't play the Namco collection's and we haven't seen one since Namco cut ties with Evercade
I just picked up the PS1 original! So many great memories pre gta
Hell yeah
This is the modern day Neo Geo MEGASHOCK carts. Love it!
yes with crappy games
Meh.... PSP had nearly 1.5GB on minidiscs way back around 2004. 3DS had 3GB+ carts 🤷♂️
the 100 mega shock!
I'm old enough to have played Tomb Raider on pc back in the 90s.
Id love a Metal Slug collection
Me either. In the Hunt (made by the same artists) is one of the best looking games for the system.
If Neo Geo games came out for this. That would be pretty cool.
Damnit man, now I gotta start collecting Evercade again. I stopped after the carts started getting a bit meh, but the Duke cart nearly had me, and now this too.
Blaze is just crushing it!
Need a Resident Evil Cart.
neo geo needs to partner up with them and the microswitch controller maker. a microswitch analog on an evercade sounds so gooood
I'm not the biggest fan of Tomb Raider, but... things like this really make me wonder about putting my Playstation and other consoles in a closet and buying an Evercade.
I'm strictly plug and play, so to have say choice next generation from the 90s that is affordable for those on a tight budget is huge to me and also because you don't have to worry about cards getting corrupted or games not running properly is also great.
I’d love to see a WipeOut Evercade cartridge. You’d have WipeOut, WipeOut 2097 and WipeOut 3.
That would be cool. The system currently lacks some good racing games.
Does this go with the new hardware they are talking about in the 2024 roadmmap. They keep making it very interesting.
Evercade: check the rom size for the WORMS cartridge... low key, they were already doing it (having massive amounts of storage when PlayStation disc games were involved). Unless there's some other (internal) technical difference they haven't explained...?
I do wonder if the original Evercade handheld is capable of playing tomb raider at a locked 30 frames per second. Also, are these PS1, PC-CDROM, or Linux ports, ofTR? It would be nice to see these rendered at a much higher resolution than that of the PS1, and of course at 60 frames per second, but I wouldn't hold my breath.
Tomb Raider Collection 2: Last Revelation+Chronicles+Angel of Darkness
Angel of Darkness very likely won't be included. It'd require a... lot of work to even make it run considering the Evercade hardware.
Maybe they'll include some GBA or GBC games.
Madlittlepixel should have about 300 copies of these games spread out over multiple devices already. It's not even the best version to play. But to each there own , i guess it's worth something to collectors.
@@RandoLePerson Games are not bad just pointing out he owns all 3 PS1 Originals already some where on all his devices many times over. And As others have stated there are HD remasters for them.
Core Design also made Fighting Force on the PS1 that would be a cool
cartridge
Yeah I think I'm the same, not aTomb Raided fan but intrigued by the way they're going.
I picked up a VS when they released Duke Nukem. The Void was good too. I have a couple other carts as well. Most of their stuff doesn't interest me though. Tomb Raider, however, will be an immediate pickup. I hope they release a Vigilante 8 cartridge too. I know a long shot but maybe.
will it be the remastered version?
ps you remind me of xanadu from kof xiv!
This has me interested in Overcame again. I'm going to still wait to see how well it plays, so please review it when you are able to.
Thanks in advance!
Overcame what?
Tenchu needs a comeback!
What a fascinating collection Blaze came up with, though I'd expect cartridge #40 to have Konami console carts.
Does anybody know what generation this console can play up to? 32, 64, above?
All I need is the controls to have modern type as an option and I am sold.
In most cases, many of the old CDROM releases, were actually very tiny. For example, a game like Crash Bandicoot, on the PSX, can actually be compressed down to about 40 megabytes. Sony used to use a compression scheme that was similar to CHD ... Compressed Hard Drive, For their official PS releases on the PSP, back in 2005. The Red Book Audio WAV, Compressed to MP3. Nearly every Neo-Geo CD release is data + CD audio, with the data sizes averaging around 20-40MB each. There are only a few NGCD titles I'd rather play, over the cart versions. The loading times could obviously be cut via emulation, but that cut animation frames, and lowered bitrate would hurt them.
Matt.. interesting...you've done some research..more than 99.9% of the community would make the effort..one point the compression bitrate reducing the quality of the graphics I disagree in part.. remember with EverCade we are not playing on a 4:3 TV screen...these games are on a 3.5 inch screen..the sharpness and resolution will be fine squeezed down to a handheld..the issue will be the audio if anything..let's hope they don't do what the Chinese usually resort to with ROM hacks..cutting the music files to save space..I wouldn't expect it from Blaze..we want the sound tracks from Core in full and all the sound effects too
@@markianclark9645 The part about the lowered bitrate was directed at the NGCD ports. I should have been more clear about that. SNK would sometimes lower the nitrate of sampled sound effects, such as with Metal Slug, in order to fit it into the limited RAM. They'd also cut frames of animation, in order to make everything fit. This technique was also seen with many PSX and SAT ports.
Yes, the Evercade portable has a small screen, but they'd also likely want to keep in mind of their HDMI video output, as well as their Evercade VS system, which relies on external displays.
I wouldn't worry about missing music on the TR port/emulation, they likely employ some audio compression, i.e. MP3, and flash memory is cheap.
@@matthenzel8930 I take all that...one additional point...it's partly relevant...the new handheld due to be released by Blaze in the Summer...is to have some cut features...the HDMI is to be no longer included...EXP-R i think it will be named...the webpage states they've stopped already manufacturing the existing models...available only while stocks last...TV connection only with the dual cart console...which makes sense to me...
SNK would be interesting. Doesn’t Blaze have history with SNK? They were connected to that Neo Geo X handheld thing, right?
Is this is the Tomb Raider Collection 1, there has to come the Tomb Raider Collection 2. Otherwise the number doesn‘t make sense.
Tomb Raider 4-6 will probably be collection 2 after they remaster them! 💚💚💚💚
There are like 20+ tomb raider games their are so many remasters/ports crystal has to work on
Well we had Irem Arcade Collection 1 but 2 never came out. Same with Technos and Data East. A volume 2 is never guaranteed when it comes to Evercade
Is the evercade powerful enough to run 32bit era 3d games without lag
Defiantly picking up the Tomb Raider collection when it releases. GTA1 would be great too
NEO GEO CD would be great. Also Sega CD, Jaguar CD, Saturn would also be cool
This is pretty awesome! Great job Evercade/Blaze
Je me demande si les cartouches GIGA fonctionneront sur les anciennes consoles
How's that possible?
So you can space to evercade or do these play off of cart?
Pardon?
@@richardmullens4707like an you add 1tb to it or not need?
Unexpected but super cool!
Be nice to get Sega Saturn, Turbografx-16 CD, and Neo Geo. Would like to see some light gun shooter series released together like House of the Dead, Point Blank, Virtua Cop, etc.
To have good emulation, you first need good hardware
I'd love to see them release the Dreamcast version of Legacy Of Kain: Soul Reaver. Blaze has said that it can handle Dreamcast titles, and the controls are so much better than the Ps1 Tomb Raiders. Even the ps1 version of Soul Reaver played so much better than the Tomb Raider series.
They're going to have to introduce a joystick controller soon and a handheld with joysticks.
Id love a mortal kombat collection. This is amazing i've got the tomb raider collection for the PS5. The games are stunning i still have my ps copys of tomb raider and tomb raider 2!
3DO compilations please 😁! Crystal Dynamics, Studio 3DO or some of the original EA games for that system. If not we need a Dino Crisis or Resident Evil collection
But can the evercade system actually handle a ps1/dreamcast level of game without slowdown?
Not sure about playing Tomb Raider again, and in here. When I think retro gaming, I don`t really get past 32 bit platformers.
They need to release a keyboard and mouse also as that would open some great titles like Dune etc. The giga carts could be a real game changer if they get the right titles. I won't lie I was close to getting rid om my whole collection in the last month or so but these announcements have changed that. I want the Evercade to work sooo badly because I love the carts and packing etc but some of their carts have been quite poor...... Obviously that's from my perspective lol
How about a MediEvil Collection?
I wish Evercade did something like a custom cartridge because in most of these, i only care about 1 or 2 games of the collection. If they did a custom one, you could just choose up to 4 or 5 games of your liking, they would put the ROMs on the cartridge or whatever and ship it to you, they could even streamline the process by putting up a digital storefront and selling the blank cartridges instead. But yeah, i doubt an idea like this never crossed their minds but there's probably logistics or licensing shenanigans stopping them from doing so unfortunately.
You can get flashcarts for the evercade, or build your own as the carts are just modified sd card readers internally.
How about SEGA CD games?
You mean Say-ga.
Systems like the SEGA CD are a minefield because for every good game, there's like 5 bad ones so getting the licensing for the good titles is going to be really hard but who knows.
The Star Wars games from the PS1 would be brilliant
Will be fun to play with the PS1 classic controller that uses a USB port. Just plug right into the Evercade... or I could just continue to mod my PS1 classic and put those games on there.🤷♂
TR og are great
I especially prefer Saturn version of TR 1
Who ever has the rights to the old Core design mega CD games should collect them all into a gigacart. Surely that’s a realistic get. I imagine THQ Nord would hold the rights to them now?
If they teamed up with Capcom in the past maybe a Breath of Fire 1 to 4 collection!
Not as big as the Duke releases but, along with the TR remasters, this is a great way to keep Classic Lara relevant
A Working Designs collection would make my heart skip a beat.
If they get Konami PS1 licensing, I'm getting this console. Suikoden would be hella sweet.
Second Giga cart has 11 games and it’s the C64 cart #7 crazyburger talked about this on his channel.
Is this ps1 version or pc port? I would prefer the pc port.
I'm hoping for a Resident Evil original trilogy or maybe a Parasite Eve Double Pack...wishful thinking
Dope..
I’ve never been a tomb raider fan..it reminded me of playing doom on the 32x a nauseating experience .. the graphics and shitty frame rates like bad vp games..I want a Dreamcast and Saturn collection
When it comes to Evercade carts these days, I'm bricking it.
I don't care that evercade is emulation so as long as they deliver a quality product.
I praise them for doing something....unlike Nintendo and Sony who don't for the most part give a crap about preservation and / or backwards compatibility, they would just rather resell you the same thing again.....🙄
They have spoiled us retro gaming fans greatly and to that I tip my hat to them and say keep up the awesome work guys!
oh wow
Given that the Evercade is suppose to be able to handle PS level games can we PLEASE get "Koudelka" please?! With Japanese and English text.
How about getting the weird Square stuff they never brought to the US anyway?
I’m waiting for a physical switch version
You might be waiting for a very long time. Because I'd honestly think there won't be one. And this is probably the only way to get the collection for cheap.
@@DeadPhoenix86DP it’s looking that way
YES, the Evercade can play Dreamcast games.
I’d rather play the remastered
I'd never buy a Neo Geo cart for Evercade, all of my current emulation machines have all of the Neo Geo titles, and they all play incredibly well, thats just me though, I guess.
I think this trumps the N-gage for being the weirdest port of Tomb raider. I guess it's good for those who have the Evercade but I'd like to see how it runs first.
I mean, it's already proven in can run PS1 era 3D well with Glover & 40 Winks. I'm sure it will do just fine
crystal dynamics hate old Lara Croft.
Why would people hate evercade? What did I miss?
Great, they will have tank controls too. lol
There supposed to be making a Tomb Raider Physical copy for ps5
It's always funny that Americans can't say Lara. Always sounds like they are saying Laura.
I still want a console solution from them that supports 4K rendering and VRR output. As for games, the original Resident Evil trilogy, Parasite Eve 1 & 2, Final Fight CD, Eternal Champions CD, Jurassic Park for Sega CD, Earthworm Jim Special Edition and 2 for the Saturn, Double Dragon II for TurboGrafx-CD... all that good, neglected stuff.
Sega CD/32x games
Love your hat can you wear your evercade hat and the next video
They will be censored, right?
Looks sweet. Laura is the unofficial mascot of Playstation after all
Dreamcast collection
My first love, Lara
The Evercade controller will be the problem: Tomb Raider is not really compatible with the handheld controls, nor even the VS controller, _n'est ce pas?_ I don't play anything from the 32 bit generation (just 8 and 16 bit) so it's not a problem for me, but... ?
The 1st tomb raider came out a year before the dualshock controller did. TR 2 and 3 could also be played with either the DS for the original playstation controller. The VS and EXP have the same button layout as the OG PS1 controller. They should work just fine
Truly obscure retro gaming lore, TR1 was first designed and programmed for the Sega Saturn, with those controllers in mind... and the PS1 version was published six months later. You are correct that the PS1 version should work fine on the Evercade, and doesn't presume the existence of the dual shock controls: it's a good point.@@jmanstiss
Dude this on ps5 tomb raider remaster
I think you're missing the appeal of this product. It's a cartridge based handheld focused on retro ports of SNES, MD, and arcade games. Only recently have they started porting older DOS PC games like Duke Nukem 1-2, and 3D. These are most likely going to be the 96-98 PC versions. The fact state of the art 3D PC games from the mid 90's can run on a cartridge is a technical feat in itself!
@@Clos93 its not lol tomb raider 1-3 was ps1 its easy to port to n64 for example cause it WAS powerful enough its just at the time memory was expensive, now though? solid state memory chips is cheap as well....chips?
@@random_an0n considering they have a port of portal on N64, you got a point lol. But point being, this is a retro focused handheld. If you want to play the HD remasters, it's basically on everything atm
PS5 remastered version is superb.
So... what platforms?
Not sure if serious, but Evercade.
@@pigs18 Obviously not familiar with Evercade. Okay, so this means no PlayStaton, Xbox, Nintendo release, I see.
@@windy3935 Gotcha. Evercade is a retro gaming console that comes in a handheld and a four player home version and plays emulated games on proprietary cartridges. Most cartridges are licensed multi carts of old arcade or home games.
I’m all in for a mega man legends 1/2/tron Bonne collection, the breath of fires or damn, the Saturn and Dreamcast fighters :)
I’m aware the latter two would need more powerful hardware than what we have, but it seems that evercade is getting ready to head into that direction with the recent handheld and vs refreshes.
👍👍™️
evercade carts are cheap flash memory, they won't last. They are not made to last.
I wish it also included Last Revelation and Chronicles
I hope you're doing fine man, I dont know why but my guts are telling me you're not at your best right now!
They are doing a solid job. Being an old fart, I still prefer the original hardware and software, but I totally dig what they do. This adds to that. Doubt they can run Dreamcast stuff on their hardware, but who knows what they'll come up with next. Good times.
