I was a little late to the evercade party and am current for all carts. When you go to find the cart with double dragon make sure you're sitting down!

I used to rent Street Racer for the SNES back in the 90s. 😄

Nice video. Target Renegade looks like a port of the excellent Spectrum game.

Interesting games, I played a lot of Street Racers back in the 90s, the Sega Mega Drive version.
The Sunsoft one is a must for me too. 😮
    Thanks for sharing, John.

The evercade is a brilliant console/handheld. The cartridges are well worth investing in as there’s always a game that is so good on the compilations and a lot of times cheaper than originals.

Cant wait to add these to my collection. So far I managed to get every cart release. Im pretty curious about the roadmap Blaze revealed. The 4 hardware releases really intrigued me.

There are so many good compilations from Evercade that I really want to get the Capcom Super Pocket (which plays Evercade cartridges).
I believe John Hancock has made a video on the Capcom Super Pocket.
Thank you for letting us know about the two latest Evercade compilations, Hancock. 😊

that street racer game runs at a nice speed, super mario kart would benefit from running at a speed as this game does.

I'm a big Glover fan since it came out(I even bought that plush and official N64 repro that came out recently), and I nvr understood why ppl always said "N64 port is better than PS1 version" so flippantly. They're both good if you like Glover, it's not one of those games where there are massive positives/negatives between the ports(besides the PS1 letting u use the right analog stick for camera). I actually haven't beat the N64 port yet, haven't played my console in a while, but it is objectively better looking graphics. Not my main criteria for deciding what port of a game to play.
Zero the Kamikaze Squirrel for Genesis was one of those games that I randomly found out in the wild for $5 at a flea market. I had to have to it by cover, I nvr heard if it(which is weird for a diehard platformer addict like me), never saw it or saw a video on it, plus it's rated MA-13 and 16 megs? Had to get it, just saw a cool game I might like from the artwork, the way we used to buy games. And I really liked it, there's so many moves to master, decent level design, great graphics, nice control and plenty of unique mechanics, it's kind of a sleeper hit. And I'd recommend someone like you to play the Genesis port out of your collection, that SNES version is cropped pretty badly, as so many SNES games that were also released on Sega consoles were. Kinda mad I wasn't able to get that offical repro, but it wasn't one of the super duper nice packaging black box series that LRG puts out like Glover or the original Shantae, it was just a regular repro. Which I think is great even though I have an official copy, and apparently Zero is a relatively rare game for Sega(and the SNES port is downright WAY too expensive for the worse playing cropped screen), so maybe it'll take the price down a bit for ppl who want the old original release. I saw some video claiming Zero to be in like the top 5 rarest Sega Genesis games, IDK, maybe, I've only seen it once and bought it, but I'm sure there's other rarer games like Tetris and Centy and all the other crazy ones.

I wanted to buy into their system to support the cartridge ownership and keeping the history alive, but my god they never relased the games i wanted to actually buy.
I kept posting comments about arcade Spy Hunter which is never commercially released since the early 2000's (perhaps those were ports, I cant recall) and Gauntlet I and II for 4 player family fun on the tv. But instead they rekeased mostly the lamest games of the past, which would be fine if they also released the greats.
I loved the Amiga as it was the computer that my 3D career was launched, but there was only a handful of great games like Star Glider II, Crytal Hammer, Datastorm, Stunt Track Racer, some Psygnosis games, etc that still hold up. There were bad ones but were good to archive as history like Pioneer Plague or Sword of if Sodan.
While many classics keep getting released and it seems like the market is over saturated with Pac-Man, Asteroids, etc it would be nice to have the top 100 aecade classics in a cartidge format. I really want to own a good collection of my favorites. I dont want to get the r_ms and emulate. I dont want a plug andbplay drive either, I want to legitimately own them.
They promised arcade classics and thet are already stopping production on carts I would have biught but I held back because I didnt want to buy my second teir games until I was certain I was investing into a proper collection and company that would see this through.
Wonder how many others held back from Evercade because of this and the distinct lack of arcade joysticks on offer? Im cool with 8Bit.Do arcade stick but if they had a family of good controls like a spinner and trackball it would sure add to the collection element which is the backbone of Evercade. I feel they really put good efgort into this and i wouldn't say it went the wrong direction as these are games that should be available too, but they didnt hit the people who would love Neo Geo fighters, or arcade shmups and other classics that are coommonly downloaded onto a Pi.
Come On Already. I want to be a customer! I want to support you, but this relationship has to be a transaction based one where I get what I want when I give you my money. Heh.

I would love to see more nes titles released on evercade, and DEFINITELY more engrossing rpg's that I can sit down for a few minutes and make some progress on a campaign , save, and come back to...it sounds funny, but I don't have the time to play a platformer that far through, but a zelda style thing can serve the same purpose as watching a tv series...you can play one game for days or months in small increments.

Having played U-four-ia on the Virtual Console the music in this version seems slow. I wonder if it’s the European version? Also, Zero the Kamikaze Squirrel always seemed like a decent game. It’s pretty expensive from what I understand so here’s the chance to own it for not much money. I’m sort of on the fence about getting an Evercade. I like the concept but it seems like a lot of the carts have a mix of decent games and ones that are terrible. That’s unfortunate.
