Extreme G is a pretty cool racing game. Probably one of acclaims better games of the era. The third game on PS2/ GC is really cool.
This is the real N64 experience: weird racing games and weird mascot platformers, lol.
Weird Mascot platformers was the Snes experience.
Yeah otherwise its always going to be mario, zelda and donkey kong, which are great games, but nice to see something different.
Crus'n World is an excellent racing game 🎮 👏 🏎
Us: Can we get Super Smash Bros.?
Nintendo: I believe you meant "Iggy's Wrecking Balls" so here you go.
Nintendo will NEVER allow the first Smash Bros. on their servers.
@@FarstarloverThey allowed it on Wii U, nothing would change here
Given some of the lag issues, and the challenges they've had overall with emulating some of these games on the system, I imagine the real reason is that it would be a buggy mess to play online, and we all know fans would basically revolt if they released it but disabled online play.
@@dantehchad2227basically, a damned if you do, damned if you don’t until they get seamless online working.
@@paperluigi6132 unless they literally write an entire separate portion of online code for fighting games with rollback, nothing they do there is going to satisfy anyone. And there's no way that's fiscally worth it for them.
Extreme G is unexpected. I loved that on the N64 back in the day. Happy to see it here.
Yeah it is one of my favorite combat racers.
Extreme G was developed by Probe and published by Acclaim. Throwback bought the rights way back in 2006.
C'mon Nintendo give us Diddy Kong Racing and Donkey Kong 64
Conker's Bad Fur Day & Snowboard Kids
Nintendo will continue pulling from the leftover stink they have on the frypan
Every time Nintendo wants to re-release a Rare made game, you can BET that Microsoft hangs it over their head for something in return.
@@h.a.6790 Or from the Toilet by the types of games we currently are getting. Who the Hell wants this?
Extreme-G 1 and 2 are pretty lit futuristic racers with kickass soundtracks. I'd love it if Nintendo managed to get Wipeout 64 or Ridge Racer 64 onto NSO. But for sure that's a pipe dream.
Iggy’s Wrecking Balls and Extreme-G aren’t exactly top tier N64 games but they are still a lot of fun.
Extreme G is a great game, the original publisher was Acclaim and developed by Iguana (Turok)
Extreme-G was my jam back in the day!!
Uniracers is trapped in licencing hell
How much licensing is there for Uniracers?
@@Farstarlover basically pixar sued the developer because of the look of the unicycles and won so it has to do something about that issue basically. The IP is in trouble by it.
Iggy's and Extreme-G were both originally published by Acclaim, who no longer exist. "Throwback" is the current rights holder.
Good. It allows us to play these games again if the current holders support it.
And by how crappy the games are they are welcome to throw it back..INTO THE GARBAGE
Extreme-G is a great racing game for N64. Now I wish the sequel gets added, too.
Iggys wrecking balls was a very wierd game but i guarantee you with 3 of your palls racing each other the game was extremely fun. Got fond memorys playing both games
It's kind of bullshit if you think about it, if the only game companies like Disney, Warner Bros and Rare money for the licences! Because of that happens... We will be able to get games like...
Their N64 lineup of Disney games
Spider-Man
Mortal Kombat Mythologies Sub-Zero
Mortal Kombat 4
DK64
Like... Come on Nintendo! Just release Smash 64 already!
Extreme G is a classic.
Thank God I got my emulator collection!!!
That Extreme G looks pretty impressive running on the NSO N64 emulator. Looks almost like a modern racer.
The other game reminds me of some of the Apple Arcade games (not very good games) that are available to play.
I would rather have the option buy these games than to rent and stream them
I want Diddy Kong Racing, Super Smash Bros. 64, Donkey Kong 64, and Banjo-Tooie to be added to the service! Come on, Nintendo!
Hey, Extreme G is great!
Glad to find another Uniracers fan, though! Too bad it'll never get on here. We can thank Pixar for that...
@madlittlepixel, "Iggy's Reckin Balls" is a title developed by Iguana and published by Acclaim. "Throwback" must have purchased some of their old IPs.
They have 190 titles from acclaim's back catalog
@@sumo8675309 oh, cool. Thank you for the update!
I've HEARD of them in connection to the back catalog, this is really the first time I've actually encountered any of their re-releases. Might be nice to see some more titles come from them, since they own SO many.
I remember playn Iggys w my cousins back in the day. It was fun back then.
There’s still a ton of top tier games that are surprisingly missing, but these two are far from the bottom of the barrel. They’re actually pretty decent titles.
I know there's probably licensing issues but I wish they'd put Beetle Adventure Racing on there.
Extreme-G is most definitely not scraping the bottom of the barrel! It's a great futuristic racer with solid graphics that still hold up pretty well, great music, creative fun tracks and did its own thing with the bikes instead of anti-gravity vehicles while stealing the weapons/combat gameplay of Wipeout. Yes, there is indeed a really good sequel for the N64(was actually released for pc as well, not too many people know that), but there's actually another 2 additional sequels! In the 6th generation they made Extreme-G 3 and Extreme-G Racing Association for the Gamecube, PS2 AND Xbox. The 4th game came out in 2003 and in 2004 Acclaim(who originally published these games...throwback here just bought the rights) sadly went under which effectively killed the series instantly. I think that's why a lot of people had forgotten about Extreme-G. That's over 20 years since the last game came out. Long ass time.. I feel so old ugh.
No don't pass. Those are good N64 games.
the full library is 388 games... they already put the big hitters on the console
the only left is niche games... lets be honest
N64 Has a small library really. The ppl like capcom and Konami will want silly amounts of money to put there games on there I imagine this is why they're not on there already.
Super smash bros, DK64, Diddy Kong Racing, Snowboard Kids, Perfect Dark, Conker, Killer Instinct Gold, Resident Evil 2, Animal Crossing 64, Clayfighter 63 1/2, Goemon, Some of the 64DD titles, Mischief Makers, Quest 64 are right there
Diddy kong racing, DK64 and Super Smash brothers were mainstream releases they are HARDLY NICHE
"duuhhh this is stoooopid" - my dude, if you can't even figure out Iggy's controls and see the potential of the game, then sit this one out. You need friends to play with to really make this game shine.
Actually, Japan got Blast Corp today. We got the 2 N64 games added in the West.
Japan gets better games then we do. We only get crap or stuff I own already
Extreme g 2 was one of my favorite games on n64
Extreme G was awesome.
How did you get the Japanese apps/games?
Lol man I love Iggy reckin balls, I had a poster in my room too. Yea it’s a strange racing game but still pretty neat 😂
It’s been wayy too long for a genesis update
I really want to see Monster World IV & more multiplayer games like Bonanza Bros, Herzogs Zwei & Streets Of Rage 1
and Gauntlet 4 you cant beat that for muti player
I love your videos, but OMG this one hurts, lol. Extreme-G was an absolute banger on the N64 -it was popular enough that it spawned a sequel in the N64, and two more on the following generation of consoles. There's really nothing quite like the first Extreme-G. My friends and I all played the absolute hell out of it. Fun unique gameplay, and a fantastic soundtrack.
I actually had Iggy's Reckin' Balls as a kid. Thought this announcement was hilarious. But over DK64 or Banjo-Tooie? Are you insane??
No, they just don't want to pay for the rights or do the effort of converting the better titles that people actually want.🤦♂️
Earthbound was a bargain bin game...
It was... I bought it clearanced out at Best Buy back in the day. Sometimes there are some good stuff in those bargain bins lol.
Stannis Baratheon: “Fewer”
2:22 Its the latter, Acclaim went belly up and Throwback bought all the rights to Acclaim’s IP’s
Love Extreme G 1 and 2 bikes with GUNS? Breaking the speed of sound! Best racers for me up there with Diddy Kong Racing, Mario Kart 64 and Top Gear.
Extreme G was a lot of fun back in the day. Happy to see it come to the online service
I loved Extreme G back in the day. Never even heard of the other one.
Extreme G was awesome! Great add!! 🍻🤘🏼🔥
It's been like this since the beginning of the NSO paid service.
When acclaim went bankrupt Throwback entertainment bought a big chunk of their catalog and has 190 titles
Iggy's Reckin Balls is a great game, and you dont know what youre talking about.... I hope they bring Tetrisphere, The New Tetris, Rocket Robot on Wheels, Duck Dodgers, Pilotwings 64, Mischief Makers and a lot more hidden gems
Pilotwing has been on the service for half a year plus lmao
i remember extreme G and it was always a game that i saw at the game store but never bought
I don't get why people complain about these two N64 games being on NSO, nobody was complaining about Glover on the Evercade.
Here in Japan we got blastcorps. When the US got blastcorps we got different stuff.
I'm all for the more obscure games. A lot of people seem to only want the games they've played to death already, and that's just boring to me. Sure, Nintendo should deliver the essentials, and in the case of the N64 largely have, but the N64 especially had so many underplayed and forgotten titles that a lot of people will be experiencing for the first time.
You act like the majority of Switch users aren't children who have never played it or pushing the idea of everybody asking has played it like i get you like the taste of rubber but jeez man
You expect a steak with your eggs, and they instead give you a thin slice of cold Spam. This is why I never paid the extra amount. I kinda figured they were going to do this eventually.
Alright, now let's get Smash Bros, Banjo-Tooie, DK64, and Conker! I am very surprised they are not on here yet.
The key word here is emulation. But shuush we don't want to upset the big N!
the problem is most plug and plays miss the stuff people want. Esp Saturn and Dream Cast games
The problem with the n64, it has very few games, and Nintendo already released most of the games on the switch online, so they can only release third party games that can get to an agreement so I guess they don’t get the best games, so they realese anything average or bad games.
And also you have to pay the complete subscription, I think is just better to an official n64 console and buy an Everdrive cartridge, I think is better to buy the official games, but many don’t get an official release like castlevania 64, I want to have that game, as long as they don’t sell it I will continue playing it in the Everdrive. I know the Everdrive is expensive, but with the payment of the n64 online for 2 years you will end paying the same money, and the other problem, when you play the n64 on the switch the controls are all mess up, you you need the official n64 online controller, but using the controller you have to put lay on the television, so in the end is more easy to buy an original n64.
I had EG back in the day. It was fun
I enjoyed Extreme G back in the day, simple, I always liked the way it looked, and on the switch looks better. Played it for about an hour last night..
I genuinely hope nintendo gives us diddy kong racing
Extreme G was really good and it was released pretty early in the console life cycle in europe. Never saw it in the "bottom of the bargain bin"...
I guess Battle Mode's kinda sorta like Snake Rattle 'n Roll?
Give extreme G a solid chancem... I think you'll end up liking it.
I love extreme G 1 & 2.
Most n64 games were already at the bottom of the barrel.
Lol, that is the first gameplay of that Iggy game that I've seen. Man, I would've been either pissed or died laughing at the game had I rented it as a kid back in the day
I played so much extreme G back in the day. I like that game a lot.
Extreme G got 4 games total. 2 on n64, part 3 on ps2 and GameCube and then a part 4 ps2 and GameCube
Thanks
Extreme G is awesome
Yeah because they don’t want fans asking about the N64 Mini talks console anytime soon because it’ll be of high demand and they know digital is not where everybody is on regardless what titles they put out which is funny in this day in age people still like physical all day everyday my friends!
This video was too funny 🤣 I remember the cover for Iggys Balls and had no interest back then.
I actually spent a lot of time playing ExtremeG and found it pretty fun
If Nintendo adds stuff LJN made then they are giving the bottom of the barrel a rimjob. 😂
LJN? The gaming FART? If they add that crap people would unsub. NOBODY would play that crap
I loved Extreme-G, really underrrated game.
XG3 and XGRA was the best
I actually have fond memories of Extreme-G. Mindless racing fun. Now if only they added Perfect Dark...
Extreme G 🔥
There are indeed sequels. XG3 on Gamecube was pretty good actually.
Loved Extreme G, Wrecking balls was ... not so great. But I'm way happy about Extreme G! (Extreme G for the Cube was awesome).
I had never heard of these
Extreme G was great. Definitely not an obscure game!
Iggy's gets very challenging and you need to think a lot and think fast...maybe thinking its just not for you
Conkers bad fur day Nintendo
Iggy's Reckin Balls was one of my 1st games i bought with my allowance money as a kid😊 fun game and werid 😁
Yooooooooooo Extreme G!!! We used to play that game for hours on end back in the day. Extra warm place in my heart for that one. Love the game. Iggy's reckin balls looks like garbage though.
there are 4 games within the EXTREME-G series :) i remember playing the second one a while back :) was a lot of fun i just ended up losing most of the time i played >_
they should add banjo tooie.
Iggy’s Reckin Balls is great, but I already have the original cart. So why would I want to play a crappy emulated version on the Switch for $50 a year? I see value in the SNES and NES included in the regular price, but this expansion pack will never be worth it.
Depends if you've got a N64 hooked up and working well on HD TVs today, most people haven't. There's value in it for those who never had a n64 too
@@thelastofus2872 yes, I would say there is value for it for those two groups of people if they don’t have a better way to emulate. I still think the price is too steep for that, though. As we can see in the video, the subscription model gets people to under-appreciate these games.
@@fishingmule3266 it does but its still cheaper than buying a genuine n64 w all the games on the service, I agree it makes ppl underappreciate the games but that's just because subscription services have a stigma attached to them and we can't buy these games outright which makes it worse. If they put these games on the e-shop to buy I think ppl would appreciate it more.
Iggy is such a fun multiplayer game actually! It is intended as a platforming racer kind of like Uniracers from the SNES. I really isn't that bad lolz BALLZ
Nah I’m ok with these, Extreme G isn’t an amazing game but it’s an N64 staple.
I’ve played most N64 games but Iggy’s Reckin Balls was one I always wanted to give a go as I never had a chance to as I tried to play every N64 game, so happy to see it here.
Both games get difficult too soon!
You know when people say the N64 doesn't really have a whole lot of good games. Nintendo's isn't proving that argument wrong when they release stuff like this.
Extreme G is amazing.
LOL that love for Iggy
well at least we have more games
Extreme g racing is not bottom of the barrel!🤬
Extreme G looks alright but Iggy’s Wrecking Balls.... Jesus Christ, Nintendo...
Just give us a melee and double dash bundle and sell it for $60 idc
Hey at least we got something. lol but great video tho. Havent heard of nor played these games, so give it a run.
extreme g is a classic!
TAD; Thes games are not trash their so cool!!
