The Oklahoma City Thunder and Boston Celtics grabbed the one seeds, while the Milwaukee Bucks, New York Knicks, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Magic round out the East, and the Denver Nuggets, Minnesota Timberwolves, Los Angeles Clippers, Dallas Mavericks, and Phoenix Suns round out the West. The Mavs are finally building around Luka.
Nuggets are still the Nuggets.
The Spurs are going to have a chance to build around Wemby.
The West is going to be brutal for a good while.
Honestly, I'm absolutely terrified what Spurs could become in a few years with more experienced Wemby and some actual supporting cast.

@Zrj19 That's true, the Thunder as a franchise are in an exceptional position. However I was only speaking about this season, and I think they're too inexperienced right now, but there's no denying it looks like they'll be a good team for several years.
As a fellow Thunder fan I’ve also seen all the stuff people are saying about our squad. It’s funny to me because the way these people talk it sounds like the Thunder just magically won 57 games by luck and I can’t wait for them to see that they’re wrong.

As a Pacers fan I couldn't be anymore excited for this matchup. The Bucks are the 1 team we absolutely stomped on all season and that's before we got Pascal and a top 15 defense. Aslong as we don't give them 40 FTs or cant hit a shot we should be able to take it in 5-6.
If Giannis comes back healthy bucks take it but if he comes back shakey or not at all pacers take it

As a Cavs fan i hope we don’t underestimate the Magic like we did with the Knicks last season. I think if we go into this series thinking its gonna be an easy matchup then they might end up taking us to a game 7 but if we go into the series locked in and actually take them serious we win in 5 or 6 for sure

As a Celtics fan, I pray that we get Atlanta/Chicago in the first round cuz the series against the Heat still haunts me and I surely don't want my team to face the Sixers rn :). But if we do get Atlanta/Chicago, we have a very easy path to the East finals, regardless of who wins between Magic and Cleveland :)

If philly loses Embiid is requesting a trade, and even tho I hate his flopping I really dont want him to join a super team like he did for the Olympics, he has that mentality, but he is top 3 players in league if he isnt injured and I want to see competitive league... The Pacers dominated the bucks 4-1 in the regular season, with their only win coming when Giannis exploded for near 70 points. The Bucks also have a negative win rate w/ Doc Rivers coaching, and have just lost their best player to injury. Rick Carlisle ran circle around AJ Griffin, and will likely do the same against Doc Rivers, who is notorious for not making any adjustments to his game plan during playoff series'.
Not saying the Pacers are favourites, but the bucks sure as hell are going to be in basketball hell with this matchup...

If Lakers win their first play-in game they automatically get the 7th seed and play Denver. If they lose their first game, but win their 2nd game, they get the 8th seed and play OKC.

This is probably the hardest year to win a championship for the west side. Each game is going to be a tough battle. Celtics are lucky.
I feel the need to clarify the Pacers-Bucks fight over “the Pacers wouldn’t give Giannis the game ball”. They wouldn’t because they didn’t have it, the ball was already in the Bucks’ locker room. Giannis also would go on to say he wanted it for Dame, not for himself. That whole situation was super embarrassing for Bucks whether Bucks fans like it or not. That definitely hurt Giannis’ image in my eyes and I don’t think I’m the only one

Im with you on hoping the bucks exit early like last year. Hope they put up the greek on the trading block. Being a thunder fan and having so many draft picks to trade with, the Greek freak fits perfectly in the thunder style and helps with rebounding. With him the thunder would be unbeatable.

He already plays in a small market, so its not like james needing the lime light. With our draft picks, we have proven that this is how a team rebuilds quickly rather than the clippers way. Am i speculating? Yes. are you speculating? Yes. The league better hope it don’t happen cause it would be a dynasty.
IMO Lakers match up better than anyone else in the west against Denver. AD is a top 2-3 defensive player and he is the key to keeping Jokic as under control as you can keep him. Hoping my Cavs can make a small run but expecting a first or second round exit.
