    A friendly suggestion is to pull that heat exchanger door below the blower. I have found about 12 in the past year with the infamous carrier crack where the tubes have been pressed in place.
    Not a giant safety issue but shouldn’t go left un checked

    Those model carriers are so common , I often see the heat exchanger plate where the inducer motor and burners mount on absolutely rusted. And the doors always bent with tappers everywhere lol

    Slow Rolling draft motor. Changed my diagnosis about 5 seconds later considering the amperage draw on the motor

    It's clearly the combustion fan motor, why do you recommend replacing the gas valve, In my opinion, the gas valve is working and there is no need to replace it. thanks for sharing your videos.

    • @jasongoertzen
      @jasongoertzen Před rokem +1

      Because the gas pressure can't be adjusted.

    • @HVACKnowItAll
      @HVACKnowItAll  Před rokem +1

      As I mentioned the gas pressure is high, the caps to adjust are seized and stripped.

    Hey we put it American standard 3 ton propane gas pack residential unit at a house in 2019 that was early spring. We went back out there in the fall of 2020 and found the rollout tripped and found the inducer motor was covered in Suet. Gas pressure was at 10.5. Talk to the tech support of Team Air and had a technician come out we reduced the gas pressure to 9. Check to make sure they gave us the right LP kit and replace the regulator. After a week it did it again so we swapped the whole unit for a brand new one. Went back out there this past week and it’s doing the exact same thing and the inducer motor and heat exchanger was clogged. Could you please help me with this call. Any information would be great from all technicians. I went out there Wednesday and replace the inducer motor and heat exchanger. Now I’m just waiting for it to do that again.

      Has anyone put a combustion analyzer on it. Start there.

    • @jaymz0074
      @jaymz0074 Před rokem +1

      Does the lp furnace have a low gas pressure safety shutoff? Silly question I know but you could be dropping pressure.

    • @aaronga90
      @aaronga90 Před rokem +1

      @@jaymz0074 I'm with you brother. Running the furnace till tank is empty will kill the unit without a low gas pressure safety

    Hey, great video. When you say you sub-contract, you bill the contractor or the business?

  • @LongTrout
    @LongTrout Před rokem

    My first guess at 4 minutes and 43 seconds is broken blades on the inducer fan wheel.

    Gas valve caps are seized and stripped ? By another tech or was it built like that?

    Or do roof-top units not have them??

    • @HVACKnowItAll
      @HVACKnowItAll  Před rokem

      Rooftops have them, the gas off when I got there, so I don't know if it went off on roll out prior

      Any fuel fired unit, ducted or not, has at least one roll out switch in the burner section, not uncommon to even have 2.

      Thanks for that.......I don't think I fully understand why the flame rolled back, if the exhaust duct isn't clogged
