great video. I was replacing a blower motor mount (the 4 piece L brackets with the band) the other day up on a roof. I do maintenance and HVAC for a property maintenance company. Still praying for your family. I finally had the surgery on my face (left cheek) to remove the skin cancer. I hate cancer....! My arms are still healing from the chemo. I noticed you subscribed to my channel. thanks for that. keep up the good work and we will keep the thoughts and prayers coming. I was doing a video on the new toughbuilt hammer (shock stop) hammer and a couple of people noticed the scaring/ blemishes on my arms from the cancer treatments. its hard to hide.

Praying from the great state of Michigan
At Viking already??? Those have been up for a year! Sorry you have to be back there so soon after the nightmare this summer. Best wishes to you and your family and I’m glad to hear your son is doing better. Keep your head up.
Sorry about your fingers! Great video though, very windy and seems cold, lol Thanks for sharing, great job again
I've never had to rebuild one of those carrier combustion blowers, always get the complete assembly. Hope it not the new norm. Another good one brother!
For some carriers you can buy the entire ventor assembly and just replace it. But for some you cant and have to re-build. If I cant get the whole assembly, I get a new cooling and fan wheel along with the ventor, that way you can just hacksaw the old shaft off and throw away the old wheels instead of trying to remove with torch. Rebuilding from that is always a little easier of course it will cost you extra for the new wheels. You can always just get the ventor housing as well but those are almost never in stock...at least not where I work up in canada. Great Video!!!!
Keeping the prayers for all of you.
Thanks
@@MiHeatingGuy watching our pastor and his family deal with the leukemia in his 14yr old daughter, who also is downs syndrome, I realize the emotional stress it put on the whole family. I just pray that you guys can maintain some sense of normalcy. Keep your chin up brother!
Good to see you back Joe. First off....hope your son is getting better....and your family is doing well. Thanks for sharing videos during a tuff time. Much love to you and the family
Aha! Michigan State tape!
Working in the cold, or at night, is just so much more difficult than under normal temperature. The job is just totally different, and only those who have never had to work in your conditions would not understand that You did great, under the circumstances.
They sell the inducer as an assembly now a days don't they?
Good job
Great effort in that wind and cold Joe. Love to Logan and the family. Take care and keep posting.
wonder if the busted cooling fan fin was a result of the bent shaft or if it was the cause of the bent shaft? Good to hear Logan is having a good day today. Hope for more good days than bad as he goes through treatment. Thanks for bringing us along on your jobs Joe. Computers are my day job but I enjoy watching whatever you're working on - you're great at showing and explaining what you're working on.
That’s a lot of work for a draft motor. Are you supposed to order the housing and bracket separately if you need them?
All different part numbers
I recently replaced a smaller carrier inducer and there was no way the set screws were coming out. I had it soaked in penetrating fluid for half an hour and it did nothing. I had to also take out the trusty map gas torch and get her good and hot; only then did the screws start to crack loose... The penetrating fluid I was using came from the wholesaler and is literally made for removing these inducer wheels.
you gotta go and sue the torch manufacturer for not putting one of those "caution may cause burns" warnings on it.
Great video.
So Logan's home doing well and Joe's replacing a Carrier inducer under warranty... good news all around!
Great video Spray it with Aero Kroil oil let it stand for a couple minutes that penetration oil works wonders on parts you can’t get off.
I feel for ya joe. They want us to have a different size tool for everything how hard is it to send an Allen key with the inducer that fits that size, especially if it is a different part. This field just keeps getting better and better. I like to usekroil lubrication oil. It works the best.
What does torch do does it loosen the screw. Man I respect how you work. You don't take the easy route. your a real mechanic
Can you also do that with stuck blower wheel
it causes the metal to expand, enlarging gaps - help loosen things up
👍👍
Hey what is a hall effect sensor sorry if my wording is wrong
It replaces the need of a pressure switch and monitors the RPM of the inducer motor which will tell if theres any obstuction or breaks in the heat exchanger and exhaust pipe

I’m in Michigan too where are you based out of?
