    Pretty good. I will say I learned long ago... always order a new inducer assembly.

    My partner and I had to put a new heat exchanger in a York package unit. What a job that was. We had no choice but to laugh at all the stupid shit we had to take apart just to get to it. 200 screws to remove. Had to removed all 3 top covers. Aconomizer, whole burner and inducer assembly/ blower wheel, condenser fans. A full day to do this. Had to be lifted straight up in order to remove it. About 5ft x5ft x2ft wide roughly shy of 100lbs. Lets just say we took it out in about 20 pieces lol. Love the carrier exchangers. Much simpler. Great video. Keep em coming

    Up in central ny I change about 5 to 7 of these every heating season , carrier exchangers kinda suck for longevity , but are the easiest to swap out

    Did a lot of those type heat exchangers. Seems like they would always fail on the seams. The aluminized coating would burn of and they would rust there. Word of advice. Don’t ever lean panels up against the unit. The wind will catch them and they will fall and hit the condenser coil. You will then have to stay and fix the leak. I had that happen once, and never again. Those carriers had the flimsiest panels I’ve ever seen.

    Imagine a hurricane ripping one of those units off the roof. Florida is not a good place for roof air units.

  • @TomokoAbe_
    @TomokoAbe_ Před 3 lety +1

    I never can understand why people put air or heating devices on the roof of all places. Considering they are easy sources for roof leaks, and having those things serviced is a nightmare. Perhaps for large businesses they are a necessity in the city--but people have them installed for their homes on the roof is beyond me. If they worry about theft, simply cage the units.

      one advantage is that rooftop units can have economizers added without costing very much - saves on cooling in mild weather.
