    I made the almighty ayamase stew for the first time ever!! Thanks to you and this absolutely helpful video. I followed it to a ‘T’ and It tastes delish!😋💁🏽‍♀️Due to lockdown and the absence of full-blown Naija parties, I started craving ayamase after I saw someone’s post.🤦🏽‍♀️ I’d always considered ayamase a specialist delicacy only to be handled by the ‘pros’, but I did it!!! Thank you....💃🏾🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️😋😋💃🏾

    Can I use a little bit of red ata rodo? Also, how did you bleach the palm oil without your kitchen getting filled with smoke? Is it supposed to be that thick? Can I make it a bit runny?

    • @SisiJemimahsRecipes
      @SisiJemimahsRecipes  Před 4 lety +9

      Yes you can use Atarodo. I try not to show palm oil bleaching process cos I've had accidents twice in the past so I'm very wary so I don't get the blame if.... What I do is pour palm oil in a pot, cover with a lid, referably a glass one without steam vents. I bleach on low heat for 20 -25 minutes. Then I switch off the heat, leaving the lid on for another 15 minutes. By then, the smoke would have evaporated back into the oil so no smokiness when you eventually open lift the lid. You can monitor the colur changes through the glass lid during the bleaching process. Ayamase isn't runny TBH but feel free to personalise it to your taste.
