    Does the RX10iv offer mp4 and xavc s or just xavc s for video format? I am very concern about this because of file size.

      This camera has me PUMPED! I shoot with a Nikon D5300 with 17-50 f2.8 and 70-300 f4.5/5.6 ed. Plus I have a RX100 M3 for video. I am thinking this camera could replace both of them!

    I think a 115 Raw buffer is pretty good. The A6500 is the same and the A7 cameras are a lot less. Only the Sony A9 shoots more in the Sony line. The Canon 5D mark 4 is about 40. I believe the only sub full frame camera that can shoot more is the Nikon D500. This camera is awesome.

    I own a Mk3 and for what it is, I've been very happy with it. Having recently bought an RX100Mk6 and only 6 weeks later the Mk7 comes out, (yes, I sold me former and stumped up a lot more for the mk7), I don't want the same problem buying a Mk4 RX10, when the Mk5 may just around the corner. It's been two years since the Mk4's launch. Is it worth waiting a little longer? Any crystal balls working out there?

    • @MrBillkaz
      @MrBillkaz Před 3 lety

      I read somewhere they may not even come out with a 5 .. because of the basically zero competition coming from any other camera companies... the mark IV is really is leaps and bounds superior over Nikon and Panasonic .. I absolutely loved the Panasonic fz 1000 but it was a total game changer the day I bought the Mark 4.. really across the board with respect to image quality autofocus. Acquisition of the subject being photographed.. The frame rate is simply ridiculous.. in a good way I know some people seem to think that it's overkill which to a degree I don't disagree with that but I found it to be not really the case and it's really impressive l If I'm executing the fundamentals as I should the camera doesn't let me down I usually let it down.. I've only read this anecdotally so I can't say for certain if this is actually true but it does make sense.. I mean they could come out with a mark 5 and I have no doubt they could probably make some incredible upgrades over it.. but the motivation to is really not there from the dollars and cents side .. I wish they would.. I was obsessively checking it for probably the first 4 months that I bought the Mark 4 which was only about 8 months ago when I purchased it. I was trying to research any rumors about one coming out as there had been a lot of talk about one coming out before covid hit and that was the reason for the delay, but the more I read.. and the more that Sony comes out with cameras other than the Mark 5 I think the speculation sadly might be true

    Thanks for the video. I have been looking at these bridge cameras for awhile and this one might really get close to meeting my needs. My main focus is an all in one camera that I can use to capture those special family moments. I do have one question, would the rx10 iv have enough low light capabilities to capture my kids indoor sports and dance recitals. Thanks in advance for your input.

      John Dellocono hello. I own the mk3 and considering sensor is almost equal, I would say no. Indoor will pop up the iso if you want to use high shutter speed. Rx10 mk3 and mk4 are amazing but with good light. 3200iso usable, 6400iso is tricky to handle too much grain. MHO

      I have the RX10 3 & RX10 4 & the RX10 4 focuses better on the church & street lights across the road at night than the RX10 3. The RX10 3 used to hunt for focus too long. I took pictures in the dark with just night lights on in my house.

    Hey! Hi! First time watcher and poster in this channel. I just want to know one thing. The RX10 IV has 2 or 3 rings, 1 of them being aperture, 2 of them being customized. Can you make one the focus ring and make the other one the zoom ring? I mean by that can one of the rings work as a manual zoom control, avoiding the use of the little side to side stick on the top?

    • @privatejetlag
      @privatejetlag Před 2 lety

      Hey there did u find that out? I have same question

    • @paraagshah4153
      @paraagshah4153 Před 2 měsíci

      By default, the ring closer to the aperture is the zoom ring and the one nearer the lens glass is the manual focus ring. You can also switch them. However, the lever near the shutter button still stays as the zoom lever; that cannot be assigned any other function.
      The zoom ring can also be customised to step zoom, meaning it will zoom to a preset common values such as from 24 to 28, 35, 50, 70, 85, 105, 140, 200, 300, 400, 600. The same values you see on the lens barrel.

      Attila Kovács I have a similar situation where I compaired the Nikon P900 which I have owned for 2 years and the new P1000 and the quality of the shots seem better on the P900. True I have not been able to use its RAW feature as Photoshop has not added this camera yet and Nikon software only converts it to a Tiff file. The bulk of the P1000 alone is a turn off for me. Too large and too heavy.

    opinions regarding low light wedding videography?

    • @Racsophoto
      @Racsophoto Před 6 lety

      CHARLES WILKINSON I own the mk3 and use mainly for photography. The difference shouldn’t be much on video and what can I say... it handles indoor images but in my point of view, far from satisfactory. Those are not machines for low light if you search professional quality or mid/high amateur videographer results. Please keep in mind that satisfactory results are often achieved with f/2.8 apertures on full frame sensors. Rx10 mk3 and mk4 use that aperture only on 24mm and with a smaller sensor. Grain as result of high ISOs should be a constant. MHO

      Ive been looking at these cameras for wedding videography as well but only for ceremony's to capture the long isle shots and maybe a C camera during receptions. This camera is cheaper then the sony 70-200mm 2.8 lens, it has an incredible zoom with body as well!!! I am assuming for outdoor ceremony's this might be perfect but anything indoors this camera might be trash if there isnt enough light. Im shooting with 2 a7sii for the moment so quality and color need to stay consistent. However, I want more angles without having to go through the hassle of purchasing expensive bodies and lenses just for an extra angle I maybe use twice in the video. Im going to rent two of them for my next wedding and test them out. Ill post my opinions and results after my test.

      The 1" sensor comes straight out of Sonys high end camcorders designed for the semi-pros like wedding videography. Search "Sony AX100 wedding" and you will find lots of examples. NX80, NX200 and AX700 also use the 1" sensor. Sony says they're ok down to 1.7 lux (1.7 candles per square meter).

      Yes. Set the focus to M and assign AF to Focus Lock and AEL buttons, you can then use either for AF-S. Assign other many buttons to various functions. Just paid >£800. RAW only best, process in PhotoLab 3. If you set the left button to Quality, you can quickly change to another to suit the occasion.
