- All the positive feedback has prompted me to share another video of my poor man's fishing kayak. I tried to include all the new additions I've added over the last six months. I enjoyed the heck out of making all this stuff. I hope you enjoy watching.
The idea with the magnets to hold the fish hook boxes is genious and I'm going to use that!
I just found your channel. Man, your vids have refreshed my sense of humanity! I am glad there are others who can and will embrace the "more fun, less money" aspect of fishing, and by the same token, life! Thank you. I am a brand new father, so cash is at a premium. I hope there are some in the new generation (including my son) that take pride in home grown ingenuity! But you inspire us "do-it-your-selfers" to reach new heights! Or at least new casting directions! Thanks again.
Marty, you're such an inspiration... a great example. I am in FL as well, still somewhat new to kayak fishing. I have a very normal kayak in the very first stages of fishing modification. Thank you for the great ideas. It's particularly inspiring to see you fashion all of these ideas yourself. Well done!
This just goes to show what a person who works with his hands with an ingenious mind can do. Great videos, you have inspired me to do some work on my boat !
i don't fish or own a kayak but i just spent the last hour watching your kayak rig videos. i know want to kayak and fish. very relaxing.
Thanks for keeping the language "PG" so I can let my kid's watch your pure genius ideas!!! Keep them coming...
The stuff you create is just art man. You take something as simple as a kayak and turn it into this beautiful functional piece of art. Its truly inspiring. Thank you for sharing your art with all of us.
Thanks, Scott. It's a labor of love.
Scott Clawson I agree. Creative fellow. Like the light "spook" pontoons. Might borrow that.
I love the ingenious additions you have designed and built for your kayak. You're giving me all kinds of ideas. Thanks!
70 yr. old Canadian bush guy here . Loved your video . Young guy with imagination . I will try some of your ideas .O , ya , getting my first yak this spring . You have a great presentation voice and appreciate your V family out here. thanks. Bruce
Your an inspiration to on shore anglers like me wanting to get on the water, knowing you inspires this military retired vet that I can eventually get out there on the water, I live in Florida also and fishing from the shore limits me , thanks for everything and keep those videos coming
The Cadillac of kayak fishing. Thanks for showing me what I can do to my future fishing kayak..
Seriously. You're incredibly inventive and resourceful. And very generous too, taking so much time to make these instructive videos.
Your videos are very helpful and you have a fantastic way of presenting them. You know when to talk and when to just show off what you have done. I really enjoy learning from you. Thank you!
All your mods are great for kayakers on a small budget. I am going to make those pontoons this weekend! Your videos are straight to the point, clear, and concise. I know you put a lot of time into them and it really shows!
Blown away by your imagination and ingenuity. Got some great ideas from this.
I've been toying with the idea of getting a fishing kayak for a few months now and watching your videos has convinced me that it's worth doing. I'd never thought about how adaptable they were and how much they could be customised, you've given me a whole new perspective, thanks for sharing your awesome insights, much respect brother.
i enjoyed your upgrades, i can't get enough of what you are doing, i built my kayak out of pvc pipe, i have used many of your ideas, for my setup. Keep it up, you really are inspiring.
I admire your ingenuity. Working on a budget and coming up with very slick solutions to suit your needs. Well done!
+ast33ro This is still the most ergonomic kayak I ever had. Everything was within easy reach!
I come back to this video 1-2 times a year just to remember how awesome this kayak was with all the thought you put into it. It’s really inspiring.

I've watched both of your vids and I have to say that I like your ingenuity! I'm about to get into kayaking in FL myself to do some exploring & fishing. Watching vids like yours have given me more insite to what I can do to my new yak. Thnx and keep it up!
I'm super impressed with how you've done all these things to your kayak. All functional and ingenious imo !
My wife and I has just started on fishing out of a kayak. I have watched several videos on adding helpful things during on the water. I feel yours has been the most helpful, with some great thought. Thanks for sharing!!!
I like to see people still using their brains to come up with solutions to make life easier, keep up the great work i live in Miami we should meet up and do some fishing sometime.
I have viewed countless vids on kayak mods. You have great ideas and terrific execution. Well done, sir.
I use a sit inside because i fish in the north but your ideas and innovations always offer inspiration.
I love your ingenuity!
Thanks JJ. As is, this little yak is comfortable for me like an old pair of jeans. I love it. And it fits in the back of my little Ranger pickup with no effort. I've taken it out 7 miles to a barrier island and spent the night. Once at the ramp, I can get it on the water in half the time of the guys with bigger yaks. It's my Millennium Falcon. 'She may not look like much, but she's got it where it counts'
you are one ingenious dude, loved both of your videos

New subscriber to your channel. Awesome design! I'm thinking of trying a kayak & this is perfect for fishing. Keep up the great work & the excellent videos! Just plain AWESOME!!
You diy videos have inspired me to modify my own kayak. It's cheap and fun. I caught some 12 inch Black Crappies on Lake Winnebago (Wisconsin) a couple weeks ago. That was a great time. Every outing helps me decide what is working or not with the kayak modifications. Thanks for the great videos!
I watched your first video and second video and enjoyed both very much. Your "average joe" approach to problem solving and creativity makes me grin from appreciation. I am currently shopping for "yaks" for me and my son, yes I will be stealing your ideas. Thanks

Your Kayak is amazing and very well done. Now I'm trying to rig up (to start with), some type of good, cheap, removable rod holders. Just started really thinking about it and looking today. We're from Central Florida also, Brevard County, love Kayaking all over the intracoastal so far!
