I am so sorry to hear of the loss of Sam but these pictures tell a story. There was no fire which means there was no fuel, low fuel in tanks and fuel lines came imported or this was a miss fuel such as jet fuel put in the tanks. I have seen that at least three times in my life. I am truly sorry for the loss of Sam.
You have to try damn hard to miss fuel that airplane with JetA fuel, not sure of the date thinking like 1978 when the FAA made it mandatory that Jet A fuel nozzles won't fit in the fuel tank filler ports of airplanes that use avgas.
I suppose everyone saw the prelim report where quite a bit of water was found in the fuel? Security cameras showed he didn't sump the tanks during a hurried pre-flight, if there was a pre-flight at all?
