      It's a great song, and I do love Cornelia as an artist, but several other songs from her show me I honestly dont care for her particular vocal timbre. For this song I think Lisa Ajax would have had a better timbre for it - rasp is milder and not as jarring. Some of her songs:

      the Mello semi4 performance of Tattoo was far far better than the abortion BBC produced with inability to support the proper screens AND the massive fuckup on camera angles.. Missing the Berber symbols on the upper screen during the interim? THAT is a critical element of the theme and execution.

    You should see this performance before reacting to Eurovision really😅

    • @Asa...S
      @Asa...S Před 7 měsíci +2

      No, absolutely not, it's the other way around! It should _not_ be watched by beginners of Eurovision!
      That's what "What is Eurovision?" by Måns and Petra is for. That act explains Eurovision in a fun way, for people who aren't familiar with it, while "Love, Love, Peace, Peace" for people who know Eurovision.
      "Love Love Peace Peace" is for those who already know Eurovision very, very well, since it's so based on reference humor that it would be wasted on people who don't recognize anything of what it's based on! Like "That's from Greece 2009!", "That's Sweden 1999", "Hahaha, man in a hamster wheel, that's so Ukraine 2014"! and so on. I think it would be so sad if that was watched by people who doesn't get Eurovision, being bored, and not having any idea what's going on.
      So _please_ any reactors, trust me on this, wait with "Love Love Peace Peace" until you're more familiar with Eurovision, then you will really appreaciate it for what it is. Until then, please check out " What is Eurovision? (Semi-Final 2 Opening Act 2016 Eurovision Song Contest)" with Måns Zelmerlöw and Petra Mede."

    • @Asa...S
      @Asa...S Před 7 měsíci

      @@JR-Johnsson88 Thanks!
      "Swedish smorgasboard" is funny too... (Edward af Sillén is amazing, everyone cheers for Måns and Petra, but he's the one who wrote their scripts and"What is Eurovision", "What is Eurovision" and "Love Love Peace Peace". I really, really hope they've hired him as a scriptwriter for Eurovision 2024 too!)
      But I think "Swedish smorgasboard" is even one step down into the rabbit hole of Eurovision and reference humor, since that is poking fun of the overly patrotic interval acts of past Eurovisions. If they haven't watched those, then Petra's parody "Swedish smorgasboard" would be a bit fun, but also missing one of the points, that host countries usually have these sometimes really patriotic interval acts where they showcase their country, music, traditional clothes, dances and other pieces of their culture, and Sweden used this satire to have fun with that a bit, while also showcase Sweden, music, traditional clothes, dances and other pieces of our culture...
      So... I think they can watch that one, later on, like in years from now, if/when they've watched a lot of other Eurovision host interval acts, if they ever do. Or if they watch some kind of host compilation or something like that. We could recommend that in some years from now.

    This is my least favorite song by Sweden. My 1st favorite is Tattoo by Loreen. And I'm from Sweden. It also did waaaay better than Hold Me Closer in Sweden
