This woman I have been acquainted with since we were teenagers. She went to a music college in Stockholm called Rytmus. She have since tried very hard to have a music career. Hard working woman. She made it, and she made it really big. I hope for a great international career after this! ❤ She deserves all of it!

Some write their own songs, some have them written for them by soneone else. Cornelia co wrote this one though. She wrote about her own experience. I don't know if you know, but she won! I think we have a big chance to win Eurovision with this. She's a fairly new artist. This is the biggest and most mainstream thing she has done I would say. I had never heard of her before this.
Tar detta på svenska: Lite korrigering och kuriosa. Cornelia skrev låten tillsammans med David Zandén men framförallt med bästa vännen Isa Molin. Hon i sin tur har skrivit för flera artister. Och Isa's pappa är Bobby Ljungren som skrivit åtskilliga bidrag/hits till många stora svenska artister och vunnit flera ggr.

I hadn´t heard of her before either. But she has been on Melodifestivalen twice before, as a part of the group Love Generation, in 2011 and 2012. So she isn´t new as an artist, but this is her big break through as a solo artist.
She's a fairly new SOLO artist, but she's been singing professionally since at least 2010.
The song is a masterpiece• It gives me goosebumbs. A star is born. Cornelias performance is super good it will win the eurovision.

Yes, this is our winner from Melodifestivalen 2022, and I'm so happy she won! She wrote this song herself, together with her friend Isa Molin, and David Zandén, who became her boyfriend during the songwriting process (he's not the guy in this song).
Amazing voice, and the song is so emotional. Check out her channel if you want to hear more. She recently released a song called "Fine" that is also very emotional and beautiful with amazing choreography. Another video with a great song and beautiful choreography is "Cornelia Jakobs - Late Night Stories (official video)" If you want to hear more of her raspy voice I recommend "Cornelia Jakobs - Lovers on Film (Live @ East FM)" or you can check out "Everybody's changing - Cornelia Jakobs - Keane cover" from a rooftop in Stockholm in the sunset is also really good.

Swedish here👋 Melodifestivalen is the show evry Swedish person LOVEEEE!!!! Here we vote on who will represent sweden in Eurovioion. The melody festival is like a holiday for almost everyone and you are weird if you as a Swede do not watch it. Sweden is actually very good at winning Eurovision, I think we are in second place with some countries to have won a number of times.🥳 And yes they can crate the Sonys self bur they have a ”team”

she did a stunning piano colaboration version of this at the eurovision contest behind the seens with Sam ryder, britons entry, it's on youtube. she still sounded amazing.
Cornelia will compete in Eurovision for Sweden this May :) America just started with your own version of the competition, American song contest where all states have their own participants competing :) I think that's so cool! Maybe you can make reaction videos for those songs? The first competition was a few days ago, I think it will be divided into 5 competitions.
I'm so sorry but no, not cool at all. The US took a competition meant to unite an entire continent and will use it to further their view that they are the center of the universe. Had it really been the AMERICAN song contest, or even just the North American song contest, I would think it's a great idea! Now it's honestly just ridiculous
@@fyra35510 actually, whilst i do agree with you about the US and all feeling like they're the center of the universe bs, ASC was brought over by producers of ESC, especially swedish producers that produce both ESC and Melodifestivalen. So they didn't take it, the concept was brought over to them. i do however agree that the other american countries should be able to participate, considering the US is but one country, and there are plenty in the Americas who would probably like to participate!

I think there are songwriters making the songs at first but when they ask an artist they are often going back to the studio and changing the song together with the artist.

You should definitely check out Miriam Bryant. She has amazing songs in both English and Swedish. My favourites are Black Car, Mitt Hjärta blöder (my heart is bleeding), Push Play and O A O A E Vi förlorade. (oaoae we lost)
Yes. The competition is based on own written songs
The song has to be an original, meaning it must be the first time anyone heard it officially in the whole world. Songs have been disqualified for having been played or sent into competitions in other countries.
But it doesn’t have to be the artist/singer that wrote the song, it’s maybe 50/50 of the songs that have the actual artist as composer/co-composer. The same group of writers can also enter with different songs, but nowadays the same artist only competes with one song, not multiple songs like in the early beginning of the competition.
A tip for you as as to how to say the swedish word for the competition. Try to have a double word! Melody (but end with an ie) and festival (as you would say it) and end with an ”en”! There you have Melodifestivalen!
As a fellow swede I will hold every finger and thumbs I have for this girl. I feel the lyrics and the song as such everytime I hear it, from the start of the competion. This was and is my top song! I really believe that we can take home the eurovision winner-title this year!! 🎉✨
I like it that another American loves this song. Do they write there own songs? Some have (ABBA did) and some haven't. I think she did not write this own. As for being in a movie, I think it would have done well in "A Star Is Born." It kind of sounds like "Shallow".
This is the best song in this year’s contest and would win any of them since at least 2010. This includes Euphoria and I did not think a better song would be possible in my lifetime. This song touches my soul. The melody is haunting and the lyrics are beautiful and full of emotion. Cornelia’s voice is captivatingly smooth and sweet. Her voice conveys the feeling that the lyrics engender. Her performance is simply wonderful. This is the first song I have heard from Cornelia but not the last.
