1. Learn their challenges. Not necessarily a priority.
2. Learn their objectives. Usually the priority.
3. Commitment. See if they're serious. "George are you committed to do something about this (or insert problem) right now?"
I love the "Are you committed" question! Because we have to get to the point that we are ready to do something about our problem before we step forward and invest ourselves financially and with our time!
I work for Nike, and understanding my athlete's goals is a major factor in my sales success. I love the follow up, "Are you committed..."
I think I will try that today to see how it flows!
I am going to put more emphasis on #3 and begin asking the question exactly as suggested, Marc.
I'm doing long-cycle ERP software sales and ANYTHING I can do quickly bring the whole picture into focus for me and for the prospect is going to help. I am a "consultant" and it's my job to listen and then lead!
Good video. The third tip was the one that hit home most for me. It shows how the client is thinking & how to overcome their objectives.
Great tips. I've been in medical device sales for a few years, however, recently switched to phone sales. This video was very helpful. Thank you
It’s November and my client’s saying their budget year starts in July. What can I do to speed their decision up?
third one is the one can work with me the most .. 👍
"Commited to doing something" great point
THANK YOU SO MUCH SIR!!!!!
Love it ...using this tomorrow , thank you sir
You go Marc - Send those videos!!!
you video are so amazing and helpful. thanks.
1st one is an eye opener
Great video! Thx!
marc is the MASTER - tons of attitude and imagination that grease the wheels of commerce, and so engagingly presented. kudos, sir. all our team members are fans~
second and third point. Good idea
valuable info. keep it up.
Great video
The third tip was the most relevant to me...the Action Step...what would be the next logical step to do something about it.... to accomplish that goal...etc...
So profound ❤
I am from health care and actually I really face issue in closure and also urgency or need creation. I loose my prospects as I sound more pushy and not like actual need of them. I really love my work a lot but kind of pressure of not getting numbers sometimes lets me down.
Helpful video Marc and it would be even better if you gave some examples to illustrate your point don't you think?
Hi Mr Marc, I have clicked the button but I did not receive the book with the email, could you please tell me why? Thank you
Nice
You use the words 'Challenges' & Objectives', but you don't give examples that can be imagined.
What has been causing the most pain around(the problem that your product solves)?
What is your ultimate goal?
Of all the things that can come out of (problem being solved), what is most important to you?
Thanks for your tips. However I feel no.1 tip is more for urgency. But what does no. 2 & 3 do to urgency? Sound like no.2 & 3 are something do to after creating urgency. Can you help me more on this?
Knowing someones challenges does not mean they have the motivation or will be committed to doing something about it. My challenge is losing weight. Am I committed to doing something about it? No. Which is why I still need to lose weight.
I'm having problems with Urgency at work?
It's been frustrating:(
I need help please
E-book?🙃
How can I create urgency or scarcity principle in my F&B industry, kindly support I have online delivery also
I don't feel any sense of urgency to get that e-book...
Isn’t establishing that they have budget for the type of activity that solves their challenges and helps them to achieve their goals, an indication of their commitment?
Yes it often can be. It's one of the last questions you should ask though. If you lead by speaking about money, people will often be stuck on it and not think about the benefit of what you're providing. Also if you break down the cost of a product, let's just say that a car costs $10,000 with a five year payment plan. It's $2,000 a year, but only $5.50 a month. That's the cost of a monthly bus pass, but more convenient because you can use it whenever you want. It's also much more affordable than an Uber/Lyft/Taxi. Even if the budget was lower, it's easy to get around money complaints.
You had me hooked in the beginning but the video seemed boring. Number 1 sin of sales/copywriting ...I can listen to Jordan Belfort ramble all day he’s so passionate
How can I use this for timeshare
By creating fear of loss and building the dream
are you committed to solve these issues ? :)gr88888
Digital Marketers are facing the problem of being banned by Facebook Ads: Avoid the: "This offer is Only Today". Facebook is blocking ads having that sentence. That is the reason why I am here: Looking for a way to create urgency to pass by the Facebook radar.
😆😴😴😴😴😴
that was sooooooo bad. Who is this supposed to work on? There was no urgency created there. There was no suggestion that the client ought to do something, and that "commitment" question was a weak call to action.
I'm not a salesman, but jeeeeeez most of the sales video on youtube are wack. Not wonder salespeople get a bad rep, a lot of the stuff sounds like 80s hogwash, greasy cars salesmen that sounds off, fake, and rehearsed...
"Are you committed to....?" GTFO, are you serious? Who speaks like that? Who are you selling to, the elderly? Horrible. Absolutely horrible. Garbage.
loool, your points are spot on. It's better to put these things in your own language though so it doesn't sound forced and corny.
He isn't bad actually and i kinda know a thing or 2 about sales ;)
Gareth Mensah please enlighten and share your knowlege with us
The technique worked for me. The goal is to identify whether or not they are in the mental state to take action now. You can have the best shit in the world but if the customer isn't willing to take action now, you lose the sell.
Seems like you know something better than this..the real guts is to share those rather blabbering on it.. Im not saying this is the best of the best content.. but I admire Marc..
