- Building a side table with spalted elm top and English walnut frame and, a coffee table in white (unsteamed) beech.
For such simple looking tables, there's a lot of work involved to create the seamless, smooth blend around the leg tops, stretcher and table top. Use of power tools and hand tools to create the effect, it's both satisfying to do and to run your hand around the finished article. Very tactile and, as an added bonus, have proved very easy to clean!
No voice over for this one - for those of you who appreciate my dulcet tones. I'm just very busy and skipping the voice over saves me a lot of time. Hope you still enjoy it (I prefer it I think!).
Cheers.

😊 Thank you!
Beautiful, stunning work 👌🔥
Thank you very much mate.🙏
Looking good 👍
Thank you.👊
Amazeballs Dude. Your work is inspirational and aspirational in near equal measure. I really like your style, and seeing how you go about the projects makes me think I could have a go at perhaps the ‘easy’ coffee table type of project.
That's awesome! Thank you mate. Do it! Even if you mess it up, at least you'll know where and can make the next one pukka. 👍
Really fabulous work. Love the modernist yet organic style of the tables, you make it look effortless! (Also, the loose tenon jig looks familiar!👍)
Very kind, thank you. It must be the editing that makes it look effortless!😉 Just 6 pieces done this last 3 months and I'm absolutely shot!!
@@BischBaschBosch ... but it only took 11 minutes and 53 seconds - easy peasy!
@@cristofacar 😂 The old Tommy Cooper of furniture making - just like that!
nOOICE!
Capitals show you mean it!😂 Cheers🙌
...I'm missing the VO dude!
☹ Sorry bud. Just don't have the time for voice over right now. Takes me ages.🤷♂️
'Ansome.
Cheers John 😁👍
Lovely mate. Resin used as god intended. Making amazing grain wood perfect of use in this type of application
Two router bit questions. The cove bit, massive, what is the radius? Is the flush cutting bit a Banggood carbide one? I remember you reviewing I believe, still cutting well then?
Cheers mate. Cove cutter is 20mm radius - pretty big! The surfacing bit is indeed a carbide bladed one. 3 blades. 4 years old and I still haven't turned them yet! Still sharp. An Italian one made by Fraiser.👍
I just hope youtube won't take down your video for the music in the background. I've heard even a radio next door is sometimes enough for a copyright claim.
Ugh...tell me about it. They won't take it down. Just de-monetize it. They have a feature now (finally!!) Where you can mute the offending section of audio. It's daft really. The radio is clearly in the background and incidental. Not like I'm using the music as content. They need a smarter algorithm for this I think. I did have to mute sections of this video. I'll still keep the radio on as I work/film though. My build videos make next to no money anyway so, I'd hardly be heartbroken if they were de-monetized. 🤷♂️
What is 'My most versitile tool?'
It's a manual 3 axis (well, 4 axis if you include my mini lathe attachment) routing machine. Looks like a cnc but isn't. I put a link to the video on it in the description if you're interested.👍
