As a console player I am VERY pleased with the horizon expandinator!! We are one step closer to a vanilla geometric placement option which is something I’ve been hoping for for YEARS.
Yeah that's fair. I had just been playing that way for years already so it felt like less of an important item to me. Also would be nice if it zoomed a little further out than it currently does.
I feel like most people who play late game that I've seen use camera tweaks which is client-side anyway without locking it behind an item, so I think its a bit different personally
always hilarious to me how basic QoL and decoration features are considered post-final boss luxuries to DST devs lmao. cool stuff but it makes zero sense to be so expensive
Does the horizon expandinator also expand the area which lets you uncover the map or is it just a bigger view? It would make filling out the map on the ocean a lot easier.
What a fantastic qol update, the hat drop is a bit silly but oh boy those improved chests are an absolute game changer. And I don't know how someone even thought of the slippery ponds but I love giving new mechanics to old things, even if its just for fun

This update is tailormade for Wurt mains, the combination of infinite stacks and auto-collector with merms + the fact that you can get everything in the first year, makes it possible to speedrun mega bases on public servers just for a wack challenge
Honestly that ice slipping thing is the best thing that Klei has done for immersion that last 2 years, I REALLY love it, we need more stuff like that haha Also, begone the days of wasting like 5 minutes of just pressing left click to craft planks, thank you klei for that too
yo imagine if the ice slipping mechanic is actually gonna be a thing for if they buff deerclops where he can temporarily create ice grounds wherever he strikes, making it more challenging and tricky
If they were going to buff a skill tree, Wilson is the one who needs it the most. He's been suffering from being the early adopter. His torch skills should affect other light sources so that the skills don't become obsolete and his crafting skills need better efficiency (maybe to the point where if you go back and forth with one doesn't consume any resources except for time).

wait the night cap mushroom hat makes you immune to spore explosions? that would make is possible to pair with good armor and let you have a wormwood bramble armor effect without ever haveing a wormwood

bro wtf are you on, the expandinator is amazing, you shouldn't rely on mods to make the game better. the range upgrade is long overdue but a great addition. so is the robot. the elastic thing too. and the saw. epic qol all around
Bro I really dislike the path this game has taken, I don't know, this whole lunar and cyberpunk theme just don't fly my way, but the gameplay and lore status of it is just as bad imo, like, what the hell does it all even mean for the lore now, like, bro, where's Maxwell and Charlie, what about the creepy and intense lore? Instead of developing it we get skill trees and junkyards I guess the game just straight up died after tencent's acquisition of Klei, so sad. I feel bad seeing what happened to a game I was so in love with once
umm... i dont really understand the reason of this update but okay i guess... klei has the weirdest ideas of updates nowadays wondering these ideas coming from their asian counterpart..

seeing as basic QoL is considered a luxury you have to beat final bosses for in DST, geometric placement will probably need lunar rift items

I think the devs said in their stream that it wouldn't work on scaled chests - just the normal ones.
They patched the elastispaceor. The limit is 4.3b items for "safety" lol
