Little known fact about the eye of terror drop: it heals WAY more from monster food than other foods. A single monster meat heals more than a meatball
Because it affects all the stats a food gives, even if its negative. So if you feed a dragonpie with it, youll get 75+60+15 durability since those are the stats of the dpie. But if you feed it with a monster meat, itll give ~25+25+40 because these are its stats, meanwhile a meatballs only give like 80 durability.
That is most likely because of the algorithm that is used for the healing.
_(|food's health| * 4) + (|food's Hunger| * 1.75)_
The healing stat of a food item affects it much better than the hunger stat. But the negative values are inverted (As seen with the ''module'' || symbol on both values, which's primary use in maths is to revert negative numbers, but leave positive ones untouched) to positive ones, which means that damage-dealing monster foods heal much better than non health-affecting regular foods.
@@NickAndriadze monster meat resores 36% meanwhile red cap restores 32%, which is good because of the damage transfer to durability
@@NickAndriadze oh, sorry for spreading misinformation then
@@NickAndriadze you could've just said "absolute value"
That's what the terminology is for that. It doesn't "revert" negative numbers and leave positive ones untouched, it simply takes the absolute value of the number and uses it.
At first I was kinda like
“Wait how are the Shadow Pieces in D tier?” And then I remember the way you have to start the fight
after you fight them it becomes so much easier
I've never fought the shadow pieces but I think the mechanics are so cool, it's a damn shame that apart from a mandatory progression item the drops are crap. If every tier 3 shadow boss dropped a different item that would make the fight so much more interesting, that would give you an incentive to go back and do the fight in multiple different ways
Hahaha oh ohhhhh you forgot that… oh fun
In other words, its pain.
that’s why you tame a beefalo 🥲

Would be really cool to have an item that attacks faster tho. Higher dps but lower initial damage

I kinda wish they did more with the Twins boss. In Terraria, the whole mechanic of the Twins is that they work together to fight you. Retinazer is faster and uses ranged attacks to corral you into getting hit by Spasmatizm’s slow melee attacks and fire breath. Feastclops has a laser attack so they could totally just repurpose it for the fight.
They are not rehashes of the Eye of Cthulhu in Terraria, at most Spazmatism is similar to EoC but without the servants and with more attacks in general. Retinazer is even worse since it doesn't dash and actively tries to keep a certain distance away from you.
That sense of enemies' teamwork is why I love The Twins' fight so much in Terraria.
...Also the incredible WoF theme that is reused for the fight.
@@thebiolibrary5572 *But the retinazer does dash*
@@sleepycat4864 once retinazer reaches second phase,he no longer dashes just spams lasers
yes
I also want to add to klaus, that he has a cool mechanic that you might miss at first, and that is the timing of his magic attacks. Besides alternating between ice and fire, they also have delays. When using fire, he stands for a while (free hits) before summoning the circle and immediately goes back to attacking. The ice is the exact opposite, where it’s really early, but klaus gets a ton of end lag.
One of my favorite bosses as well, love to fight him every winter on beefalo
Ever since the iceberg video I get really excited to see long videos from you, I love to watch them due to how much effort is put into the editing and memes

Having deerclops as your first boss is terrifying for 5 seconds until you realize your walter main friend can solo him infront of the base while you peacefully garden
I feel like I have a good reason for disliking crab king the most. So let's say you don't fight malbatross, all you miss out on is some minor sailing improvements. So nothing really disappointing. But now let's say you don't fight Crab King. Well you've now missed out on the moonstorm event and the Celestial Champion boss fight. Plus all of CC's good drops. So if you skip malbatross you loss some minor quality of life. You skip Crab King and you miss out on a ton of endgame. This boss really is just an annoying gate keeper.
I agree with most of this list
Also the funcap have a 25% hunger reducer
but tbh it also makes your food items spoil faster, so no wonder why nobody using it
i think containers such as backpack wont be affected but yeah, its problematic for hambat especially

You don't need to kill the pugilisk. The water respawns a day after the water stops existing in the world. That is, you can bundle wrap the water or take it to another world to get it to respawn. Also you can 1 shot the pugilisk with an explosion, including the coconade that you can buy.
Also, the seal drops it's boss items when you spare it's life.
Thank fuck… I never got far in shipwrecked but if I did and faced the seal it would break my heart… no my heart would just quit. It would open some doors and say; I ain’t dealing with this shit no more. You have no idea how thankful I am not to kill the seal.

The reason why everyone hates crab king more than malbatross is because no one even thinks about him
Really amazing tier list, I'm glad I'm not the only one that has Celestial Champion as their favourite boss either
If the shield of terror was like the shield of cthulu from terraria it would have been insane,

Amazing video!
I might add something about the Antlion though!
You don't even have to fight it to get its rewards. You can basically trade with it; if you fish and find a beach toy, you can basically trade it for the lazy deserter blueprint, and trading toys with it will calm its rage, therefore delaying the earthquakes it makes on summer.
Also oh boy Deerclops became so easier in the beta update!
How is deerclops easier?

its funny how the ancient fuel weaver stunlocks players, eats stuff for health, and sometimes turns invincible, which is exactly how a boss would feel like when fighting a player.
like imagine having 50k health and gets chopped down by a small dude with a whole bunch of perogies
Theres mods for boss hp scaling and I always used them. Even on normal mobs, I think too many mobs have inflated hp because of "there might be more people" it doesnt make things harder just longer and more expensive.
I use it too and honestly it should be a natural feature. Bosses that you can't ever kill alone unless you exploit the game or gather a million billion resources feels silly to me.
@@namelessliberty9869 for me seems silly that the boss would get more hp the more people you have, scaling mods are awful
@@DanielDornekDorda the idea is that the base health is lower than normal when you're alone so when there are more people it's the same health you're already used to
@@DanielDornekDorda Its the reverse in this case. These mods make the bosses have less hp the fewer people there are. To closer replicate how things were or would be with solo play in mind.

I have a VERY easy method for bee queen.
1. Grab the Terrarium
2. Locate the Gigantic Hive
3. Make sure you have a good amount of light (Moggles, Moon/Sun Caller's staff, Lantern, Miner Hat)
4. For safety, just in case anything goes wrong, grab some football helmets, or (If you've been to the ruins) some thulecite crowns, this will help you take MUCH less damage.
5. When you have the terrarium, turn it into a crimson tree with 1 nightmare fuel.
6. Save your game by quitting. (When at the hive)
7. Go to your world settings, and set the day type to "only night"
Optional steps before the fight
1. Grab a snurtle shell or two, this will make
The twins, bee queen, the grumble bees, and the peepers not aggro on you.
2. Maybe bring some food? I would recommend some hunger food, like meatballs, mostly, though health and sanity foods can be used during the fight too.
3. If any peepers or (hopefully not) grumble bees aggro on you, bring a melee weapon, any weapon will do, even a spear.
4. Grab items that give you a speed boost, a magiluminescence can be taken, but you don't have to. I would recommend a walking cane, at least. A lazy explorer can work, if you've been to the ruins.
Make sure you have seasonal survival items. You don't want to die to the seasons, right?
This makes the fight more scary in spring, since thermal stones don't really do much for that season, and you'll have to wear an eyebrella so you don't get wet. But if you're in winter or summer, a thermal stone will do.
If you're playing as Wilson or Webber, grow out your beard for extra insulation in Winter, and shave it in Summer, since beards make overheating easier. (I'm not sure about Woodie, though.)
If you're prepared, head to the hive.
1. When you're ready, activate the terrarium, and hammer the nest, bee queen will spawn, and the twins will spawn shortly.
2. When they are both present, use your light to run away from the hive, you should probably use moggles, as it allows you to see the entire screen in complete darkness. Running from the hive will make bee queen de-aggro on you, and she'll return to the hives old location, follow her back, but keep a safe distance away, as she can aggro on you again. When she returns, to the destination, one of the twins will hit her.
(Most likely Spazmatism, as he charges more)
4. When a twin hits bee queen, she will aggro on that twin, if the other twin is not fighting bee queen, try to lure them near her. It is not really safe to go near bee queen at any part of the fight, as she can, and will aggro on you if she spots you.
If you have any snurtle shells, hide in them so you'll take no damage from hits, do pay attention to the durability, though, as it can break if you tank too much hits.
You should be good at this point, just keep a safe distance away, from the conflict, and bee queen should die.
Last Tips
If you did bring a magiluminescence, try to use it to flee from bee queen if she re-aggroes on you, combine this with a walking cane for more speed.
If a twin aggroes on you, dodge the attack, and run away, don't go close to bee queen.
If Spazmatism is in phase 2, use your speed to dodge the attacks, speed is important for dodging this attack. If you don't have any speed boosts, you can still try to dodge, but you should put on your protective helmet, because you'll likely get hit.
If you want to see what's going on, use a Sun/Moon caller's staff, or some moggles. If you notice a twin is missing, try looking for them, after they've been found, lure them back to bee queen.
After the fight, the twins will be alive. Save your game with an exit, and change your day type to something else.
If the terrarium still has the tree after the fight, you can go to the loot stash in winter, or activate winter's feast if it's not on. At the loot stash, change the day type to only night, summon Klaus with a reindeer antler (Dropped by No-Eyed Deer in winter), and use the terrarium. The twins will have the same health as they did after killing bee queen. In this fight, it's much easier to make the bosses fight, as Klaus will aggro on the twin that damages him, attracting the other one. The twins should kill a gem deer, which will cause Klaus to enrage. Enraged Klaus deals heavy damage, moves faster, hits hard, and has increased attack range. After Klaus is aggroed on the twins, they'll die, and you can enjoy the loot! (That is, if the red gem deer doesn't burn the loot)
If you want to get rid of Klaus, exit your game, and come back. If Klaus is still there, you can keep trying, or despawn him by going far from the loot stash.
That should be all! If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
Enjoy your loot!
you might as well disable all the annoying mobs and make all the good loot super common by using the settings if you are turning your game to only night in the settings
You put so much time and effort into these videos, very big congrats on 60k, cant wait to see u reach 100

I think Ancien Guardian's design is bad. But well, we can imagine Maxwell saw this creature and so decided to make his rook look the same.
I think it’s the other way around, as the rook is the one machine most different to its chess piece, and the ancient guardian has a horn, and not a castle nose
I like how the ancient guardian takes inspiration from the Minotaur, both are strong horned creatures in labyrinths.

Not what I intended to make the video about but glad you got that out of it
The least bad part about Crab King is the trident he drops a blueprint for lets you uproot kelp plants and plant them in more accessible spots.
Also, the crown you get from the Mant Queen regenerates sanity while equipped, and doesn't have durability. So that's pretty cool.
Queen Womant's sound attack can be countered with Rabbit Earmuffs, which is the first time you've thought about Rabbit Earmuffs since Adventure Mode
Lazy Deserter is also a good way to drop your sanity by activating it repeatedly, so if you have a lunar island base or are going into the moon storm it's nice for that
what? that is so… who would even think about that? is that why rabbit earmuffs are sold in the hat shop?
@@xtdycxtfuv9353 It does if you think about it and have fought the boss previously, the honest problem is that using real world logic in a game doesn't always work and so you wouldn't assume that.
@@Spiffyo i have like 300 hours on hamlet and i still would never think of that.

Yeah in the old days you could hug the edge of the arena in the right moment to escape the bone cage and that wasn't a bad feature(it got updated though) but even now you can still stand next to a pillar(sometimes works) or run away at the right moment to escape the cage which requires practice to master but is really doable
And the other reason that i love the fight is that it doesn't only rely on how much resources you bring like crab king , toadstool or even beequeen but actually requires skill and practice to pull of

One thing I think would be cool is to have the Pugilisk and Hulk in DST, but with two tweaks: the corruption. In terms of the gameplay being set up, there’s planar defense and offense, and how cool would it be to have a Nightmare Pugilisk come down from the sky to make its home in the caves, while the Enlightened Hulk comes down bearing the power of the moon, including crystal walls, light blast attacks like the lasers, etc. Maybe it’s just me, but I think that’d be cool
I just finished my first world where I killed all of the bosses (was my first time killing most of DST ones), and I have to say that there is one thing about this tierlist that I really disagree with. That is Ancient Fuelweaver: I would at least put him in B or A tier (S tier if you didn't have to suffer with shadow pieces and finding atrium). Although my opinionion may change through getting more experience, i really enjoyed this bossfight because of it requiring not just collecting items needed to kill it, but also a skill requirement (I was playing solo). This boss was designed to be killed in a team and as a final boss, and completely fulfils both of the purposes. When fighting in a team, you might want to split the roles between players, like killing woven shadows and destroying shadow torches. There arent that many bosses in the game that require that (not saying there should be much more, bc solo boss killing would be too hard). So when you are fighting solo, you have to do a lot of things at the same time, which is actually VERY challenging for those fighting him for the first time. There is no other boss that makes you manage your inventory and multitask at the same time. Most of the bosses of DST are just about learning few kiting patterns or tanking, but this guy is really different. Took me many attempts to kill it, and yet I still enjoyed every second it. Plus, this bossfight is VERY rewarding.
Anyway, this is my unpopular opinion, so you are welcome to disagree
agreed!! was looking for someone who said this lol
I kinda disagree, celestial champion its an ancient fuelweaver but without the stupid stunlocks and a much better aesthetic and bossfight so i think its much better than him, the drops of AF arent that good other than the body armor and bone helmet whoch guess what is useful for celestial champion, the problem i have with AF is that you MUST craft special equipment to beat it while celestial champiom at minimum requires a hambat and a walking cane
This was awesome!

This tier list is accurate.
Love it.
Do not look behind you
I agree with almost everything in this tier list. Almost. I absolutely adore the fight of The Ancient Fuelweaver, and is in my personal opinion the best boss of the entire Don't Starve franchise. The importance this guy has to the (unfortunately) finite lore of the game is amazing. Yes, the mechanics are really hard and sometimes obnoxious to deal with and his tricks might be considered spammy, but I am not against these abilities. It's after all *the final boss* of the game. It requires extreme amounts of skill to counter his diverse abilities, which is unique from the other bosses, who just... Erm... *Attack you.* Everything about his Bossfight works, from the intimidating design, the fact that he actually talks, the flawless work of animations, one of the most legendary and epic death cutscenes of all time, the incredibly stressful and skill-depending fight where you need to balance out doing at least three things at once, from teleporting around and away from the bone cages quickly and making yourself sane and insane from time to time to switching between weather pains for the woven buggers, weapons for damage and eating to heal up. There's basically no room for error and the fight requires your constant attention. There's not a part in the fight, especially the second phase, where you can rest and re-organize your cluttered inventory from all those stressful switching of items. So yes, even if you don't like the arguably very spammy gameplay itself, I think that there's still a lot to love about this boss, like the aesthetics, the epic boss theme, which it has whole entire two of, the lore implications and so on. In my humble opinion, this absolute climactic delight of a Bossfight deserves at least low A-Tier, if not more than that.
But, of course, with all that said, you can think about Fuelweaver in any way you like, This all is just my way of thinking, and I am completely fine with others' opinions.
You could say he uses his head in tough situations
Yea I agree, no way is fuel C tier IMO. From the level of micro it requires to charlie stealing the kill at 1HP, it's one of the most thematically accurate and badass boss fights in gaming next to the Hollow Knight.
item management really makes for a fun fight
@@wedmoke8856 Exactly!
@@kabershshkabersh4272 Yeah, this boss puts your micromanagement skills to test, and boy what a test it is...
Last time I opened the game we only had Deerclops. Damn this game evolved.
Wouldnt that have been 9 years ago
@@orangedontstarve something like that, clearly that boss traumatized me a little.
I agree with tier list and it was fun to watch. I laughed at the jokes XD

I like how they realized people hate ranged enemies and made the twins essentially a copy of each other
Love the list! I'm a bit confused about the "bundling wrap is less useful in hamlet" statement... sure, you can buy food, but it's much easier to just always have a food bundle with you, I also carry a light bundle with me, for the lightbulbs and glowberries. When hopping worlds I think it's necessary to have a bundle too. It also helps with inventory space. Those are my two cents, I was just confused
