i really love how "OMG OrangE Don't Starve" always point that this is a survival sandbox game. Like, honestly for sometime i felt bad cause I suck at fighting in games, but i really enjoy base building and cooking in survivals. so i never "beat dont starve" even with 600h, my objective was never to kill all bosses. and listen to him saying "how you beat a sandbox game" make me feel better with my playstyle. From this run you can see a bit how the "nightmare" content is much better in some aspects than the "gestalt" counterpart. Let me explain worse: By "nightmare" content I mean everything including ruins, Ancient Guardian, Shadow Pieces, and Ancient Fuelweaver. While on the other side Pearl's quest, Crabking, Wagstaff and Celestial Champion. Let's start with the first point, the "nightmare" route has much more accessibility and is certainly more hectic, but the main point is the question of time. Both routes are constrained in things you can only do something at a certain time, like the lunar cycle that alternates every 22 days so you can fight Shadow Pieces. Compared to waiting literally 4 seasons for Pearl Quest. In this run it went to a point where everyone was in a hurry to one where they were literally waiting for certain members to finish the shenanigans that required Pearl, lunar event and lunar pieces. In other words, the mechanics of waiting are less pronounced in the "Nightmare" route and honestly the whole waiting thing reminds me of mobile games like clash of clans lol. You know, I never met someone that was excited to do Wagstaff's quest for the second time. But anyway I can give some credits to Return of Them for making the Celestial Champion: the boss is cool but the way you have to make in order to fight him is not.
The lunar cycle would be 20 days. New moon on days with an even number in the tens place, and a one in the ones place, where full moons have an odd in the tens place instead, as well as the one. At least the archives are always accessible as they give you good loot even before you get the irrdecent gem (like theulicite)
will love to see how you do about adding the incoming cinematic into the LORE videos. for the moment I still like that you take your time making these videos pretty high quality, even if the waiting time in between them is long, they have a great amount of rewatchability that overshadows the waiting time.
WX's rework made it clear that he is only good for the first 50ish days (for casual play) and if you decide to play him longer his only benefits are 1. best food item in the game = gears and 2. infinite light, if you even decide to use those 2 modules. I loved and still love WX, but after I played wolfgang the first time since I started in 2015, how good Wolfgang is, his potential is endless and has maybe he has 25%-50% less speed, but double damage suffices for all the speed you lose
The new Maxwell rework could get you to lower the time even more. Maxwell can easily solo the Wagstaff events, place the materials in his tophat, and have all the other players take it out of his magician's chest at the mysterious energy, thereby cutting out the travel time. Same goes for the cactus flowers for Pearl's pearl (though not Pearl's Pearl itself), so maybe placing it on the boat itself would be best to avoid having to make 2 chests.
to be fair, i'm almost positive they changed the way marble pieces spawn. I generate a lot of worlds because i enjoy starting over and I've definitely noticed the pieces spawn much closer than they used to, and sometimes even multiples spawn so you can choose which ones would be easier to walk over.
the number that spawn are based on the number of uncompleted marble statues that spawn in the world - every incomplete statue has a corresponding suspicious piece
I feel that if you did it again you could swap someone for wanda just as you could save time by setting a rift watch to lunar island and it helps if you can bring back others

Cheese strats don't matter as much either since they are usually a waste of time with this much people While Wanda would have worked in theory as long as someone was willing to dodge, Wolfgang is just more reliable from the get go and has the added bonus of collecting resources faster
the reason people don't think treeguards aren't bosses, is probably bcs you don't need RoG to get them to spawn, but they are challenging enemies, and there are a lot of other things that play the boss music that aren't bosses. Also, the track isn't called, 'boss track of (insert season)', it's actually called 'Epic Fight Song of (insert season)'.
Prepared for each boss like it was solo dst, been playing with friends so thank you for reminding me that with more than two people it is a swift genocide.
The Twins are very cool, but seriously, why does Retinazer not shoot lasers and not have a accurate 2nd phase with a laser cannon? And Spazmatism doesn't have a flamethrower as well.
Me and a friend recently had the same issue of the deer not growing horns on our world. we have regular settings so it's probably not the short seasons that caused that...

wanda needs a shadow manipulator to make her alarming clock, she also needs lots of thulecite fragments to even use her other items, not to mention the fact that to deal the highest damage she needs to be at super low hp, making her a really risky character for a speedrun where dying once could mean the end
Well celestial champion can't be killed until you finish the moonstorm event on the night of day 11. It would be the same time as this run. Celestial champion takes so much waiting and other stuff to set up
