Received my L100 yesterday. I've flown it several times indoors, twice outdoors. I'm brand new at this drone piloting thing, this is my very first R/C flying object, so I have crashed it a couple of times indoors and one rather major fall out of a tree outdoors, which knocked off one of the flashing light covers on the arm, it popped right back on.
In spite of my ham fisted attempts at controlling the thing, I gotta say, it is remarkably stable in flight. I did not expect it to be so easy to fly. All in all, I think it's an excellent choice for a beginner. Rock solid stability.

I fly a few hexacopter now normally change the colour of the back props and paint those tips the same colour, the largest I even add a rod tail ( small led when it gets dark . )

wondering which motor I should buy for replacement. I have a propeller that is harder to turn than others ones and the drole isn't stable and fly toward this prop. Cleaned the gears twices, nothing to do.

Seems to have performed well in spite of cold temperature and wind...however, I have a Bugs 3 and same issue with legs showing up in side of picture. Want to figure out a way to replace legs under motor pods to solve this issue. Good review!

That camera reminds of an old Logitech webcam from 20 years ago. Cool video Captain. I like this inexpensive drone as it's a different type and interesting. 👍 Man do I miss when Yuneec was a real industry innovator. I actually found your channel from those first Typhoon H videos
The Typhoon H was Yuneecs best drone, which is why they continue to milk it to this day with different models, but always the same design. It is the only drone that has been long replaced with other models that I still hang onto.
I had the Mjx x600. Love to see this getting gps. Could you please say the weight of the battery? LIghter battery could make it under 250g.

Cool vid .I've got to get one I have a couple of the mjx x600 that looks real similar but it looks a little beefier I noticed the arms have lights on the bottom and the top I would think that they would make the plastic very thin in that area but maybe it is strong enough . The plastic on the mjx x600 is kind of brittle that looks like more of a solid plastic.

If anyone knows where to get a pdf manual for this drone I'd appreciate it...I have the same hexacopter and the manual that came with it is a poor quality photocopy so you can barely see anything, plus the translation is so poor that I can't make heads or tails of most of it...I've had it for over 6 months and have yet to fly it...want to before it gets cold, please help?

What Android app to the Goolsky L100 is best?
"I like to look up between the legs" :O) I take it 3 blades are CCW and 3 are CW? On my quad it is simple. You pair them up opposite each other. When there are 6 props they run CW, CCW, CW, CCW ..... ?? Nice review as always. A question I have been meaning to ask for a while is how do you sync up the tascam audio to the footage or does it plug into the Hero and record directly? I'm still stinging from having to buy the Gopro 'audio box' to use external microphones. Always something isn't there?
I sync up the Wav file off the Tascam with the audio file from the GoPro, then delete the GoPro audio.

Another terrific review! Compared to my older Hus-ban, I paid 150 bucks for, this has a lot more features, kpowie, (if that's a word), and just bang for buck. The video looked great indoors. I wish you'd maybe shown a little more video outside, from the copter's point of view, but it's pretty darn good. I'm certainly amazed at the speed and stability, and the fact that you get GPS with this drone. Like you showed us, it's great in the wind, fun and pretty accurate RTH. My only gripe on this is of course, the darn legs being in the way on the video. It's pretty wide angle. That's of course good in some ways, but your getting some "fish eye" look, so that could be a deal breaker, but.......it looks like a great drone to fly around in the more or less immediate area, although that too is a pretty good size area. I love the video your getting from your Go Pro on your hat. It's so clear and stable. Perfect for what your doing here. Marc.
The outdoor video, in the wind, in the cold, was moving all around, so I did not show it. If I had flown on a warm day with very little wind, the outdoor video would have looked like the indoor video.

Nice review! After reading the manual many times I think that you only have to calibrate gyro and compass once. By left or right side they just mean the mode you have the controller in.
That would make more sense.
i have a question, what happens if you launch a gps drone from a certain location, say the top of a hill or a cliff, then your flight takes the drone to a lower (negative) altitude? is it possible the drone will shut down and crash if it senses its at 0 altitude?
This is common when flying in Canyons or off hills. Most GPS drones have no problem.
hello, after the battery of the control is low and the alarm sounds, I changed them but the drone does not respond to the control that may have occurred, will the control be out of calibration? if so how to calibrate again, because I almost lost the drone he went up alone.

Sorry, I know longer have this drone. All Low Cost drones are similar. You turn on the controller, then turn on the drone, next you connect to the WiFi from the drone with your phone, then you open the APP, then you do whatever compass calibration that is required.

Boss have the same, but have a bit of a problem if I do Auto Start or Manuel that he always flies to the right, he is not in the center, he flies to the right, the small buttons next to the sticks are useless, for other drones this is for fine adjustment nothing works with that. How do I get it there Instructions is scrap in English. I do that with the turning this but nothing works .. Could one help me please would be really nice .. Weiss net continue
If the GPS is working then you do not need to make adjustments. Adjustments are for when the GPS is not working and you fly indoors. I do not have this drone anymore and I do not remember how everything worked on it.

I don't have this drone anymore. I would guess that VR goggles would work but definitely not FPV goggles. Check Amazon... VR goggle are around $20 or $30.
My Hexacopter has a great camera but I can't get it to stabilize. It takes off fine and when it gets 20feet or more away it begins drifting and turning circles.
Is the gps ON? If it is, you might have a compass calibration problem.

I only had this drone for a couple of weeks then gave it away to make room for other drones. The video is rather old so I don't really recall this one.

Visit your local hobby store with one of your props and they should be able to find something similar.
Hi, I've been watching your video again and again. I have a small problem with my drone, this is because in the application I see a message that say search for gps in the device.
the control it appears that I have found a satellite, and the cell phone lets see the map, but still the problem persists. Has anyone had something similar? Thanks, great video

Rookie question: How di you maintain altitude. Keep it stable and from going into the rafters?
Just don't fly it near walls where the wind will bounce off. It remains at whatever height you wish it to remain since it has altitude hold.

It is all done through the App. Your phone must have a GPS in it that works and you must be able to connect to the Wifi of the drone at 802.11ac.

It's look like when I try those functionnality, the drone does not react to those command. This is the point off my question. I do you make this functions work ? @@ungars943 I do not have this drone (I only had it for the review). Most drones with Waypoints let you put spots on the map but then you have to send the information to the drone. There might be a option in the app that says something like "send to drone".

I haven't had the chance to go outside and fly it . I WAS JUST LOOKING AT box the box and it made me think about if I got what I paid for they looked the same I bought from wish. Like all drones with this chipset, it requires the GPS to be in your phone as well as the drone.

The App will pick up the GPS on your phone if your phone has GPS (most phones have GPS). If you have an old phone or a phone that is very low cost, it may not be compatible.

The compass calibration is shown in the video... similar to when I flew indoors.

Stupid question, I've no idea what my wifi is ... 2.8 ghz most likely does that mean I can use this drone or does the 5 ghz thing mean it work on that to ???
5G means Wifi that is compatible with 802.11ac protocol. If your phone can connect to that type of WiFi, then you're fine.

They do make a 2.8Ghz version so it should handle more or less the same, so shall be getting that one !?

Sorry, when it comes to drones like this (budget drones) there really are no parts.

Was watching some drone videos. Maybe I should get a drone before prices skyrocket with Tarriffs. Saw different sizes and prices. Then this popped up in a search. I started looking for information and came across this video. As a result I ordered one of these this morning. Lots of good reviews for the price. I found one on EBay 1080p 2,4 ghz at $135. Then one thing I came across. Replacement blades. So many different types and looks like many ways to attach. I could not find a place that has these blades listed. Do you know where to buy these blades or is there an adapter? Looks like once blades break and cant find these blades or specific attachments....what then? Thanks for this great video, I am also in Canada and familiar with snow and ice.
Hi Brian. Sorry, I don't have this drone anymore so I can't check out the blades. They do look very common for brushless motors, so when you get the drone, measure them in length and look on ebay or amazon or your local hobby shop for similar style blades.
Thanks for your rapid response. i did searches for this drones blades, nothing came up. I tried Hobby King, they have tons of blades all styles, none with an allen key holding in place. Might have to come up with a brass sleeve and make something fit.

"C" rating does not apply to this drone.

SimB C rating on a battery only applies to FPV drones where the battery needs to supply massive power instantly. For this drone you just need a battery with the same voltage (same number of cells) and same connector.

I’m new to the drone world, I bought this and I’ve only flown it twice, i’m really enjoying it, but the battery life only last me between 8-10 minutes. If that! Can someone suggest to me what kind of battery to get that will last longer? Thanks.
You can use any lipo battery that has the same voltage and same connector

Would you suggest any certain brand or type that would give me at least 15 minutes flight time? I’ve looked on Amazon and found a lot with the same connectors, and have higher than 1200 mAh but they are bigger than the original and won’t fit inside. Like I’ve said, I am new to the drone scene forgive me of my ignorance.
No brand, anything will do. I can't tell you which one exactly. It would be best to walk into a hobby store to see what they can offer. The hold in the drone is large enough that most 2 cell batteries 1200 or less should fit (perhaps even a 1500).

Hello captain, i bought this because of your review, but u never mentioned how difficult it is to install and unistall the battery.....But the worst thing u didnt mention was u have to remove the camera gimbal everytime you change out the battery....I feel like after a few changes, u will worp or shred the area where u add the battery... Other than that, a Really bad ass drone!!!! Thanks for your video Captain!!!!!
Glad you are enjoying the drone. The battery & camera item are par for the course on drones of this type.
I don’t like them wires dangling around the camera and it looks too spidery but wow it’s fast ! And a tough little bugger !i wonder what’s Chinese for Wind Fighter ? Great review !
