I just got my rc controller today, Ive done the setup but I barely have any throttle, it's so bad that I can't even recover ftom a small dive. Is there any throttle settings I can adjust?

All of my HS700 series drones (i.e., D, E, G, ...) has a calibration problem. It only allows to have compass calibration but no gyro calibration. Further, the compass calibration is not very effective. So, I lost 2 HS700D, one HS700E (or G) has the potential to fly away (i.e., difficult to control), and even the most recent version (G?) exhibits the similar behavior. This HS900, although attractive, costs more than a DJI Mini 4K and a Potensic ATOM. Anyway, I am not sure I should get this one because the DJI Mini 3 (non-pro version) could be very good and cheaper. BTW, I don't think the HS700 series has a good 4K camera.

Hi. what are the difference of binding your drone using the quick battery thing, compared on using betaflight to bind it (besides faster). will it harm my drone?

It would great to integrate a intelligent orbit mode to focus gimbal on a location while orbiting. It could replace airplanes for surveillance or photography.

Looks great, but for your drone's sake, you would do better to hang the 360 BELOW the drone then over it. You are placing a lot of weight on one side and creating a higher center mass which is bad for the motors and the controller. Having it hanging may be harder to land of course, so a quick release is a good solition. Just bring the drone to you, hover it, desengage the camera and land. Cheers.

Great review Cap! Holy Stone has come a long way but... It's no DJI. I agree the price is too high but, there is $100.00 off on the USA Amazon site so that makes it much more in line. I'd still purchase a DJI mini SE or Mini 2 before I'd purchase this one. It looked like at 1 mile you were getting the "weak signal" message. I can fly my DJI mini a couple miles with no problems and the features work. I do think it's a viable option for a youngster or new drone pilot but I would steer them toward DJI or even Potensic Atom over Holy Stone. It is great to see some of the smaller companies trying to compete and bring advanced features to the market. Thanks for the review! Cheers!

After watching your video on the HS 720G I bought one. Then I find out it has a toilet bowling problem. Why don't you talk about this problem with the Holy Stone drones. I guess the 600 is the only one that doesn't do this.

I have the previous Coast Guard version. What is new besides the tail rotor having four blades? It seems like the same technology to me.

Just got the ISDT 608 charger, There's a firmware update now that allows you to set the LIPO charge voltage to lower voltages so you can now charge it to storage voltage. I guess prior to that update you couldnt set the voltage lower than 4.x something volts. Made this charger much more useful .

Is it still using wifi? my holystone 720g with wifi goes crazy when close to an antenna on top of a 4 floor building i wont ask anything outs because the price is ridiculous 469 after the discount and the dji mini 4k is 299😅does the dji mini 4k use the same wifi as the first mavic mini?

Price is like 3 times lower than any new 4k dji drone, at least in finland. So i count that as an biiig positive

Ok Ok Captain!; great review however I think the general consensus / weight of opinion is forget the Drone; we want a detailed and personal insight into the fabled "Tractor Man"!!!; jokes aside, you can buy in Australia a S/H DJI Mavic 2 Mini for around $300 which is a lot of Drone for the money; in the past, as the other Chinese manufacturers played catch there appeal was the cheap prices for more basic tech ( Bugs, JJRC etc) however they are now asking similar prices for there latest incarnations, hard to justify against the DJI offerings!!!!

I like this little drone. Need to fly very carefully with such a drone. If accidentally hit an obstacle, the expensive o3 camera will be smashed

I have one, Mine is a twin 50mm EDF - I stripped all the gear out including the nose doors and servos - did the same as you but used an AR631 - Flying on a 4S 3000mAh - did not have to use nose weight at all - also Took off the little rod on the back that would hold the pusher prop motor, it really is a nice flying machine for a FATTIE... I did cut some air vents in the nose (left and right side) to help cool the ESC's on my maiden flight they GOT HOT....yer landing is fun - fly at 60% throttle until you are soooo close to the ground you dare go and then cut throttle .. Phew......

I disagree this was designed for beginners. It just has some features for beginners included. Does that make all camera drones for beginners? Because in my eyes they are the same thing. The Avata is for cruising. Almost like a camera drone just without fpv goggles. I have bnfs and self built, and i just got the Avata 2, and not to replace them. I got it to replace my camera drone. Anyone using this to do freestyle will be disappointed.

Why is every damn video of this in the same stick mode? I fly mode 3 with my mini 3 pro and mavic 3 pro so I want to stay mode 3 with the avata 2 but I can't find a single video that shows how to change the manual to that mode.

Steve, I understand that when flying in GPS mode, it flys like a drone (stick mode 2). When flying manually, are you still in stick mode 2 (just without satellites)? Thanks, Jedf

If you do not fancy the HS900 or DJI SE or DJI 4k...................I have just picked up the Cfly faith Mini 2, 1 x 64gb sd card, 1 x battery and a carry case for under 200 USD, its an Incredible drone and a very low price, flies brilliant, takes 4k/30fps video. I used to always go to DJI and the Cfly is not 100% to match DJI, but at a 3rd of the price its 10 times better.

I usually charge my drones using a 2.4 amp wall plug, but i think this drone says to use 2 amps...does anyone know if using 2.4 amps with this drone will cause any issues?
