The long neck on the canopy makes it look like a giraffe lol but the performance is incredible. No prop in view definitely makes it stand out! Thanks for the awesome review Captain ❤
Wow, for its size the drone seems super stable with very little jello. I see a lot of people complaining about the 03 air unit but I guess the tune has a lot to do with its stability and filming quality.
There is only one complaint about the DJI O3 Air and that is that it is so very expensive causing the price of every FPV Drone to be out of reach of so many... So those who can't afford, will certainly complain.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 The price is a big hurdle I agree but the image quality for the weight is unmatched and for that reason, its here to stay.....until the 04 air unit! lol
@@sffpv9671 The O4 should be interesting and I'm curious (since it will be smaller) how the heat will be handled. Guess I'll be trying one out like everyone else.

Nope. The DJI RC N1 is a remote for GPS camera drones.
I like this little drone.

Another great review Steve! Thank you! That drone looks like a blast to fly, I would just a bit worried about crashing with The O3 parked out front like that. It seems like the O3 is very durable. I haven't had any issues and have not heard many people complain about the camera breaking unless you break the lens. I'm just curious, how does the handling compare to the Oddity xi20 or 25 . I have never flown the Oddity drones so can't say how it compares. You are right that with the drone being so light weight and small, there is no protection for the camera on a hard hitting impact. But the positive thing was be that during an impact the frame gives way so the camera gets to survive, vice on a typical FPV drone having the entire weight of the drone ramming into the back of the camera.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 I never thought of it that way but it makes a bunch of sense! It's kind of like knockout walls in a stilt home in Florida near the water. The side walls are block but the front and back are designed to blow out if there's a flood allowing the main force of this water to go through the structure but the sidewalls keep the structure intact. So the camera mount breaks before the camera!
I get about 1 minute of flight time with my mobula 8 o3, if I fly far away and use 60-70% throttle. Maybe 1 minute 20 seconds but still not the best. Is that true for most 2S drones or would this one be an improvement for battery life?
Most 1S to 2s SMALL FPV drones have a 3 minute average flight time

So I want to get an FPV drone that I can capture decent footage with maybe adding an insta go camera if the onboard isn’t good enough. I have experience with multiple dji drones but I want something small that I can fly around inside my house… what’s your ultimate recommendation?
I’d recommend some practice on a FPV Simulator. Flying an FPV Drone is extremely difficult compared to flying GPS/Sensor assisted DJI Mini & Mavics. In addition most people who do not have any FPV Gear start off with an all in one RTF kit & then once they master the FPV flying skills they buy the real stuff.

I think so. Normally cc2500 will bind to FRSKY, as long as the FRSKY receiver is not protected to only bind to an FRSKY transmitter.
Question for the captain...getting my first fpv drone...it is a ready to fly kit...cetus...comes with 6 battery charger and voltage meter...will I need to also buy a charger that can put the batteries into a storage voltage, to check resistance or to drain batteries when they get old? If so, which charger do u recommend that can handle 6 to 8 batteries at once and that can do everything I need to do with the batteries? Thanks!
Nope, not needed. When you get into 2s to 8s batteries then you can invest in an RC Charger.

@@GSI230I’m saying it is not worth the expense because 1S batteries have a super low mAh and are inexpensive. Most people toss them out when they go bad. Batteries (1s) go bad if you fully charge them and don’t use them in two weeks, or you use them and drain them way too low in voltage. When you use a 2s battery or higher then it makes sense to own an RC charger and balance the cells. There are inexpensive 1S chargers on Banggood that have a storage function (at least there used to be).

Once crashed you lost the O3 🤔🤦
If you watched the video right to the end, you can see I crashed into a tree branch (no damage). You would have to fly at high speed directly into road pavement or building concrete to scratch up or damage your camera.
For sure...and beleive me is an expensive damage...
Would love to have a thing that size if only it could fly for a nice solid at least 25 min, so I can fly 3 to 4km away and back, guess not until batteries get better, always the battery anxiety with drones and EVs. Would you happen to know if the Helion 10 can do loops and rolls, or is it a bit too heavy and floppy for that? Have not seen anyone on its reviews doing that with it yet.
I have not seen nor heard of the Helion 10 drone.

Hay my captain were you using DJI goggles? As a camera drone flyer who just bought the DJI Integra goggles I’m I missing out that I can fly other birds?

In the hands of a pro, no problem. In the hands of a less experienced pilot… Wind is your enemy.
Captain, I have a special problem with a Whoop Drone similar to the AcroBee75 HD O3 DJI/PNP, When you connect the Battery Nothing happens, I order a new Battery Balance it, same issue, I can go the the Flight Controller using Betaflight and I also update the DJI part with the DJI assistant Consumer, still nothing. Can you give me some pointers on how to do some more diagnostics , I will appreciate

@@tesimpamonami9188That means one of three things: you crashed and broke the drone or you went in Betaflight Configurator and clicked on update firmware or you went in Betaflight Configurator and messed up your ESC/motor settings.

I’m finding that more and more FPV manufacturers are making their drones crazy light weight, which means it’s best not to crash such drones into a hard surface at high speed.
I agree but it's my opinion they are trying to save money not weight. Carbon fiber is the way to go in my view with aluminum alloy in some bits. Light and strong to protect delicate electronics. I'm not into aerobatics and I just cruise around trying to get cinematic footage and I've had two significant crashes into grassy fields. I don't think that frame would have survived and protected that expensive camera. Just my two cents of course.

That canopy is going to be the biggest downfall of this drone. The Acro bee 75 is the same material and it sucks.
They are designed for minimal weight. So many manufacturers are now doing this to ensure the drone weighs very little. This is a trend you’ll see continue.
O3 lens totally exposed for cracking
Nah, just put an ND filter over the lens and it'll be fine. No issues with my O3 lenses so far, even after several oopsies. I usually just use a clear UV filter with all my O3 quads. Lots of places to order them from is you do a search.
I would never fly this. If I crash it the o3 unit is done
At this weight, there's so little mass that crashes are usually uneventful, with no damage, unless you do something REALLY crazy, like letting someone sit on it, like Steve did, lol! Until you get yourself an O3 cinewhoop or mini quad under 120 grams including the battery, you just can't fully appreciate how crashes don't really amount to any damage. Try it and see for yourself. : )
