This video was very helpful. I have family violence case in Texas and I've been waiting months for an update. I finally have a court date tomorrow but don't know what to expect. I have an attorney and took a 16 hour DV course, I got a letter from our marriage counselor, I went to 6 sessions of therapy, and was able to get the Protective Order removed all before my first court date.

I’m from Connecticut and I’m in this horrible situation that I need a public defender that I have that is ready to retire and doesn’t care -would you be or know anyone that would be a resource to help me?
Clearly, these are false charges - documented by the other person involved
    Yet no one cares

What to do when you've been arrested and charged with 2 serious felony assaults, and your a black female who lives in Irvine, Ca.? Not to mention that the supposed alleged victim is a white male who has a long history of violent behavior who's assault on peace officers was evident while fighting for my freedom in my RETRIAL, (case was dismissed, but days later charges were refiled in Newport Beach). He also was arrested 4 times during this period, and twice for domestic assault against me. DA didnt file charges against him,no jail sentence, no probation, no more than 24 hrs later, he was free to go about his life. I lost everything I owned, employment opportunities, financial stability, and had to make emergency decision to relocate for my safety, due to Irvine police officers deterred efforts of arresting this violent white male. If you cant see the racist actions or systemic practices of the typical white supremacists ideology within Orange County District Attorney Office specifically, Todd Spitzer and his retaliation crew (Law enforcement ). This case has destroyed my life. It affects me mental, emotional, physicall, and financial stability. The only time I go outside is to check the mail or for my grocery pick up order. Racism is the key point in my case, and it's a shame to be the actual victim that's fighting for her life. The disgusting corruption that my conflict attorney, the prosecutor and falsified written statements and fraudulent documents from irvine police department is enough to question how is this legal? Why is this happening in 2022? How long has this been going on, and why people, in higher positions affraid to violate these individuals... why did ever lawyer I contacted about a civil lawsuit declined to assist when I mentioned Todd Spitzer? Misconduct doesn't belong in our judicial system, violators of the law need should be prosecuted and held accountable for their actions. The shameless tactics these two agencies collaborated against me is beyond malicious. I look forward hearing your thoughts on this situation. Oh by the way the refiled case was also dismissed December 2022, this nightmare started on 10/10/2020. What's your advice with an issue like is?
