I’m just trying to make a bong
BLACKDYNAMITE 2002 sammmmmmme my friends mom took my bubbler cuz I left it in his room and my actual bong broke
so many people looking to make their own bongs are gonna watch this video
+jdman07 hahahah they are welcome too
That was exactly what I was about to write!
Omg. How chu knoww? xD
That's actually what I'm here for 😂
Dmt machine
Haha, I love how you said 'the worst drill press that money can buy' and then bring out the exact drill I have!
+JMakes hahahah yeah
Yeah, mine's black, but same basic unit. I only used it a few times/yr, so it's good enough for me.
1 euro in the dollar store...give this man a medal
that sentence ripped a hole in the universe lmao
@@3jake5mee you mean drilled* 😅
my fav part of the video!
For anyone wondering I managed to do it with a regular drill and drill bit. It took a lot longer but I eventually got it. You just have to drill really slow the whole time
like how slow, like a crawl, or just medium speed? i tried to do it to a titos bottle and i shattered it, i suppose i was going too fast
Success! Thanks! I did simply do it in the sink under running cold water and with a hand drill on the screw setting. Glass taped to a piece of foam and very light pressure.
I'm watching this because I want to use my empty coffee jars as pots for plants but I think people are here for a different purpose. 😂😂😂
I’m here for the same. Trying to make flower pots out of empty glass Soda bottles
@Lucy Thomas FOR SCIENCE
@Lucy Thomas lmao same
I'm here for the same purpose- I feel so innocent and confused when I saw the comments- HAHAHAHA
Yeah! Just trying to learn how to make things for plants and gardening 😂... love the comments though 😳
What timing! I’m literally making a lamp from a whiskey bottle tomorrow. Good stuff!
+Crafted Workshop Haha awesome! Did you use this method? Maybe CZcams will give us some synergy :D
me too
Sick. Bouta make a bong out of a henny bottle
@@bradydobson5970fuckin same mate hahahah
Nice simple video I like the fact you didn't feel the need to complicate the process
very good video! i drilled many many holes in glass as it was part of my job, this guy is spot on!
That was quite helpful! I liked the idea of making small pools with hot glue. Thanks for sharing.
+Alex 2Q Thanks man!
Very nice video man! I have also tried adding a bit of baking soda to the water to polish the glass faster and it goes very well.
+Humus Workshop Uh interesting! Thanks!
NICE EDIT MAN! i need to get some of those drill bits. Can't wait to see the end product!
+Ollari's thanks man!!
Good job! For the cooling part I recomend a half liter plastic bottle with a small hole in the cap, instead of the seringe, so that you won't need to refill it so often :) love the editing! Cheers!
Thanks John! that sure helps! :)
That would work great unless you're trying to drill on a vertical pane as in a double pain window/door. My drill was hollow with a slot in it which held a little water for a while. Caution: you can't drill it too slow! I have a shattered glass to prove that. I was drilling slow bur apparently not slooooooowwwww enough. I have another to test my slow speed on. I may take the shattered one out and just use one pain. Coastal SC never gets very cold anyway. Wish me luch as I finish the second one. I have a ring drilled half way through but I suspect the critical point is when you break through the second surface. Any comments?
It's a "lamp" mom... 😂😂
its just a vase bro
Dude I had no idea I could change the speed on my cheapo drill press, I had to pause the video and go out to the garage to confirm it, you just blew my mind.
haha glad i helped!
Thanks for the info! This is super useful.
Thanks Jonny!
Wow💡, I didn't know that type of bit. Very Nice tip!!
+Mikhandmaker thanks!!
Bro this is beautiful cinematography
Loved the action shots when you started drilling :D And great tips, thanks!
+Crafts With Ellen thank you!!
Worked like a charm! Thanks!
always love your stylish editing!
+HANdMade thank you!
Very nice! I've had some success with a dremel and diamond bits but keeping the bits cool is extra important :)
+Skruffles yeah! Exactly! Specially with the high rpm in dremel
He is so adorable. First time I’ve seen that hot glue idea! Thank you!!
Yeah that was a really good idea that it I didn't come up with myself
I’m here because I want to add air holes for my snail terrarium, but now my mind has been opened to the possibilities 😂
Don´t even know the rest of your channel but you´ve got my like and sub cause your editing skills are top notch!
Thanks!!!
Now that was some good info! Thanks for sharing!
+Not Just Sawdust anytime! :) thanks for watching!
Superb idea using the hot glue to pool the water :) Thank you ॐ
+The Wood Yogi thanks!!
Great video, very informative and nice music too!
Thanks!
Nice job man! And happy new year! :)
+Giaco Whatever thank you! Likewise! :D
I loved how you slammed that lid shut on the pulley house. CLANK!
Here's a magic trick that'll blow your mind: Alcohol makes hot glue release instantly. I stops adhering to anything, so instead of scraping it off, you can just add a few drops of alcohol.
+rasmis cool to know!! Truth is after the drilling the hot glue was super loose, not sure why :D thanks!!
Hi there from Portugal,
Nice tips :D
Obrigado(Thanks)
+Blog das Madeiras thankssss
Nice tip I like the water well you made with the glue.
+Dan The Maker Man thanks man!
Excellent video thank you thats giving me a few ideas. Although i use a hand drill on large sea glass. Realy enjoyed this
Great explanation and video.
+bluebarnworkshop thanks!!
Thanks for the tutorial I'll go make my bong now
Awesome video :D and very precise tips, bery goood

Hey Now! I’m digging the music!
good vid told me everything i needed
thumbs up
Que pasada! Espectacular tío!
Salu2
Gracias!!
Now I know!!! Thanks for the tut.
+Greg's Garage :D great! Thanks for watching man!
Just a thought, get an aquarium type water pump and a container with iced water. Set the pump to pump the water to the drill while you drilling. Then, you just focus on drilling.
Would filling the bottle with water first make a difference in keeping the glass cool?
you reckon i can use a rotary drill for this?
what if you filled the bottle with water, and did the hot glue thing, that way the water wont drain into the bottle, or would that give poor results in terms of the glass braking more often?
Great video. Thanks :)
+sa-maker thanks!!
What a great personality I just had to subscribe.
Awesome video thank you
super cool vid carlos✌️️ nice content and cat🚀💥
Thanks Lukas!!
Cool video editing)))
+Борщ TV thanks!!
I really need to give this a try.
+Makercise cool!
Thanks for this video
Great idea about using hot glue gun. I wonder if filling up bottle at same time keep water inside to side drilling. Thanks great tip!
Dose it works on tubelight glass??
Nice job ;-)
+Mactriz thanks!
Tanks Cactus, my wife hates my new butter dish I got at goodwill because it does'nt have a handle on da lid, now I can drill ah dee hole and put a nice one on !
This is cool. Can this work with thinner glass, like 3 mm? or is that more risky to brake the glass?
I think it might break but if you support it well and take it slow... Maybe!!
How many bottles you had to empty, till the first intact hole? :-)
Have to look for such a drillbit here in Germany. Cheerio and thanks for inspiration!
+Alfred Neumann hahah this worked well the first time but sure you can practice drinking them first :D
Muy interesante el anillo de cola caliente al rededor para mantener la lubricación. Buen vídeo y LIKE!!
+Canal Miguel Lopez gracias!!
Perfect video time to go make a bong👌🏼 shoutout too comment
Top*
So cool
+Rock Automatik thanks!
+Rock Automatik thanks!
would it be a bad idea to fill the bottle with water?
I love how the top content is exactly what I’m doin
Good lesson, but very easy to drill holes of any DIA if you have small bottle of turpentine (may purchase from any HW store). Just dap a little on surface and drill ! Easy and old trick from Mother Russia !!!
Isn't a bucket and thin hose for a water siphon both cheaper and easier than silicone?
Que bueno, hermano. Me gusta muchissimo!
+MB Art gracias!
Hi my friend... In addition to having a pool of water on the outside using hot melt glue if you fill the bottle full with water it will help when you pierce through the bottle...
+Peter Allen of course! Thanks Peter!
YEAH your Worst drillpress in the world is my daily DRIVER!! I really got the same one and use it for everything..it is apiece of junk but freaking works for all the crap I make!
+MAYER MAKES Hahaha right! That's why I kept it. Plus it's chuck accepts1-3mm drill bits while the bigger ones don't. So it will always have a place here haha
Thanks. The hot glue gun tip with water was great.
What song is playing at the end? And artist?
That hot glue was a good tip. I have used bluetag, and it sucks. 😊 Thanks!
+Tuomas Soikkeli Haha thanks!!
I was checking the new-old drill press and hoping to see her on duty but then you change the whole scene bringing the cheap one out...Haha was funny!!
Very good information though
+BillSin Workshop hahahah :)
I’m making a mini greenhouse outside of an upside down aquarium and am going to drill a hole somewhere on the top for an air hole. Thanks for the video
Hell yeah. Thanks. :)
Awesome I tried a few times with a std drill bit amd the bottle broke so I kbow to use a glass bit now
your editing made me laugh. Thanks!
I started making incense burners out of wine bottles a couple of weeks ago. Fun project
very good
Es bueno el video! Me ha flipado el squirt con la jeringuilla xD
One of the primary reasons glass breaks is because of high frequency sounds which hit resonant frequencies of the glass. The dam of glue plus water is dampening the soumd as well as cooling the glass. Filling the bottle with water would have a similar effect. So would immersing the bottle in a small tub of water.
Just made my bong works so great im soo high af
Aquí tienes mi apoyo, un saludo
+F. L. G. Gracias!
About how long does it take to drill each hole?
Depends how thick the glass is, and your technique. I'd guess under 5 mins here.
فكرة رائعة جدا وشكرا
The hot melt glue was a good idea!
+Jack Bench Woodworking thanks!! :)
Interesante... si señor...
+Lamaneta gracias!! Pronto en español :D
Thank you.
What about kerosene (or jet fuel) rather than water?
Magnificent video
The idea with the Hot Melt is really cool I think if you fill the bottle up with water and put a cap on it then you wouldn't have to keep squirting water into the Hot Melt ring
+Jack McGarey thanks jack!
+Jack McGarey sure, filling it would be simple too, but I couldn't fill the gin ones because they still had the one way valve installed 🙈 thanks the tip!
1€ in the $ store 😉 Nice video man!
+Kevin Capiau mind blowing ha? Haha thanks!!
Thank you. I have a lort of bottles and want to make some lamps.
I wonder if liquid dish soap would work better?
Soo i dont have this drill, i have a hand one, this is my firt time trying drilling glass, acte a few shots, i think that you just gotta be very slow and gentle, at first you will notice that a little pressure does not harms the glass but when you pass through it thats when you have to be very gentle and slow.
Great editing
I am going to try this with a hand drill
Okay so basically I need to just put water on the part I’m trying to drill?
Good tip with using the hot glue for the water..
+Joe Basement Woodworking & DIY thanks!
Thanks mate, now I can make a bong out of an AK-47 shaped bottle.
Buen video tio! He probado hacer agujeros a mas velocidad y funciona en mi opinion mejor, it doesn't chip out the edge... Saludos desde Bcn
+ISMO Woodcraft guay! Probaré! Yo no me la quería jugar con la temperatura jaja %:) gracias!
