    Drilling or cutting angled or slanted holes in glass bottles, mason jars, wine bottles, flower vases, tea pots, china plate, ceramic jug and coffee mugs is way easier than you think! These cheap glass cutting bits makes it super easy and quick to do. Drilling glass can take forever if you have the wrong bit and the glass can shatter if you use too much pressure. If you're making a lamp or drainage hole for a plant this method makes cutting holes, slanted or straight, in glass, ceramics and pottery a breeze. You can cut angled and slanted holes in glass in less than 60 seconds with these bits.
    When cutting glass, be sure to wear safety glasses and gloves.
    These bits will NOT cut tempered glass.
    Use a cordless drill if possible.
    Use caution when using an electric drill.

    I did not believe this would actually work. I often fine items at yard sales thrift shops etc that I think would make nice planters. I would use the old fashion glass drill bit to drill holes. I saw this video and ordered these bits. I am the hole drilling queen. The water bottle idea is amazing. I had no idea that would work. I am so happy I came across this video. Forget ever paying full price for planters again. I make planters from anything now. Any cute jar I fine is instantly a planter. Thanks so much.

      @@chrisnotap I'm sorry, but I can't seem to find that brick right now. I believe it went into one of those boxes with decorations in it, because we mostly used it in the winter.
      It's fairly easy made. I used a normal soft red brick. I chose one that was broken out of an old house during renovations, with the concrete on it and even a bit broken off. It is absolutely unique and has that shabby chic to it. I drilled the drill bit with the candle diameter into, until it bottomed out. I then chose the drill bit with a little less than half the diameter, and I kind of randomly drilled around into the material that had to go. This left some brittle pieces standing, which I got rid off by jacking a screwdriver between them. As last step I swept the bottom of the holes flat by shifting the brick around on the drill press with the small drill bit down in the hole. Clean up the mess, and you're done.
      It really helps to adjust the drill press, so that you can press the spindle into the low end of its travel. This way you get a nice and flat bottom in the hole.

    The Action Lab did a video on the science of cutting glass under water. It seems the water is essential not for the cooling but for the physics of how cracks form in glass when water is present.

    • @justinandrus6731
      @justinandrus6731 Před 3 lety +1

      It’s actually for both the water keeps it cool and doesn’t allow the glass around the cut area to get overheated which can cause the glass to run out where you don’t want it to and yet at the same time what you saw in the action lab video allows the Glass to fracture out faster which reduces the amount of chance for the glass to break where you don’t want to it’s weird but it works

Works great on new or old cutting boards as well. Hint, look in the laxative section of your local grocery store.

    You should do another inhalation test with those new melatonin vapes! Everyone always says their safe but I want to see with my own eyes.

    I really enjoy your videos. Just subscribed on my 2nd account and liked this vid. Going back to like part 1. Great deal on the bits. And they're easy tonuse with ur methods. U explain with the perfect amount of detail. And i like u use stuff almost every1 has at home. Like the pop bottle as the water flow (fun fact the science called fluid dynamics behind what makes the water flow the way it does is called laminar flow and it is caused by the water molecules following the same path in layers out of the hole. Its more complex than that but that's the jist of it!) Thanks for ur videos and the hard work to help up out! Hope every1 enjoys the fun fact i added for any1 who reads my comment
