Words CANNOT describe how HAPPY & EXCITED I was when I looked at the Service Corridor and saw that these elevators were still original!
When I ate at the Revolving Restaurant here with my mom back in 2017, I remember seeing what I thought was an Otis Circle Touch call station (which is what the Main Elevators used to be) in the Kitchen when we were waiting for our food, and I wanted to ride the Service Elevators here, but due to them being inaccessible (as far as I knew) and a lack of time, I didn't make it to them. Well, fast forward 5 years later, I now got to ride them, and INDEED they're still original!!! I was a bit disappointed they weren't Touch since that's what the Main Elevators were prior to their unfortunate modernization, but I'm still VERY HAPPY nonetheless as finding Original HIGH RISE Vintage Elevators OVER 20 FLOORS from before the 80s is EXTREMELY RARE, Especially in this day and age as parts and qualified techs to maintain these Old Relay Controlled Elevators are getting more and more scarce. And not only are these elevators still original, but they are in EXCELLENT Condition and are VERY CLEAN (Which is surprising given these are the SERVICE Elevators in what is a NEARLY 50 year old Hotel!) AND Get this, they go FASTER than the Main Elevators!!! And that, combined with the BEAUTIFUL Original Lexan fixtures, Vintage Indicator, Classic Leveling, Old Otis Door Operator Hum and all of the other characteristics that make Vintage Otises so cool and fun to ride made these elevators some of the FUNNEST Elevators I've EVER been on in a LONG TIME and in my ENTIRE LIFE as a whole!!! Not to mention, the ULTRA RARE Otis logo!!! I can go on and on about how awesome these are, but I know you guys are here for the video. All in all, these are just truly amazing & beautiful Marvelous Machines that I'm hoping won't be modernized anytime soon. And with that, I hope you enjoy the video of what are some of the FUNNEST Non-Scenic High Rise Elevators I've EVER been on!
    Installed in 1974.

This video inadvertently reminded me I really should upload my old videos of the Regions Tower elevators before the modernization, so I think I'll get to work on that soon. Also these look more interesting than the guest elevators which I haven't even seen yet.

I hope they don't modernize this elevator. It's still in great shape

Bonsoir à tous, j'ai emprunté le petit ascenseur ThyssenKrupp (9 personnes maxi) très rapide au tour des archives à Rouen et monté au 29eme étage.
    Merci cordialement, Johan.

Seeing the Otis lexan buttons makes me think that the elevator in my apartment complex used to be a lexan back in the day, and it got modded with the gen 2 panel

How many floors did they go? I wish more of these were still around...
