I just finished working over my 5-disc player. I got it used online, and it worked for 2 months when suddenly a disc would not play nor would it reject. I worked and worked on it, slowly learning how it came apart and went back together. After about 3 weeks, I had touched just about every part of the machine and reached the point where it is in better condition than it was when I got it. If anything goes wrong with it, unless it's something on a circuit board, I think I'm ready to repair it. This video was very helpful in my process.

@@thespecialist786 I'm not sure which sensor your referring to... Unless you mean the switch board underneath the pcb assembly? Unfortunately, back in the day, when a 3 or 5-disc changer came in for repairs, we would simply replace the entire CD-mechanism. All of the gears and switches within had no part numbers. Only the cd mech had a known part number. When the old-style cd mechs became unavailable, we had no choice but to learn how to repair the internals by trial and error. So I don't know where you would find any individual components inside the cd mech. You would have to improvise with a similar sensor or switch.

If you look at the back on the changer the model should not read Wave Acoustic II. If it does you have to wrong model even if it works. You can not sync the two items. Amazing how people want information for free and still have the audacity to complain due to lack of knowledge and experience or willingness to learn or read between the lines.

Thank you for watching my channel, based on your description I would first clean the laser pickup lens with Alcohol. That should fix it. If you can make a video and send it that would be helpful.
