I forgot to add that I just can not get enough of listening, learning and watching Ernie teach this song. However long it takes I Will do it and then move on the another Willie McTell masterpiece!
You're a great teacher, Ernie. This is fantastic.
This really is an excellent video. I like how it's not just taught straight from one end of the song to the other, instead giving you ideas on how to put it together from the ideas McTell used. Thank you very much for making it available.
Thanks Ernie, this is a great help.

Just found your vid, just great. Was looking for 12 string songs and found Mctell, that brought me to you. This song is just a little more then I can handle now but I'm going to be working on it.
This is great, for another version check out Atlanta Jazz Guitar Channel, if you like this, that will be right up your alley!
For those of you who like me need to take a long time of repetitive practice to get this song locked in memory, I have found that placing a strip of sellotape across the the strings on the bridge makes the continuous clattering sound of the slack strings more tolerable,, just until I get it right. An anyone tell where to buy on line 12- 70 Acoustic guitar strings as I've searched all round the world to no avail!
