this is stickshift model. automatic is very similar but top bolt has to stay in bracket while removing starter.
This process takes more time but most Efficient!
It is the second alternative method if the first fails
Great - if you have tons of time or need to jack up the customer's bill.

hello my brother me i have a corolla 1.6 petrol year 2008 i have a problem with the throttle please if you can help me you will give me a lot of pleasure i scan its several times i buy throttle petrol pump spark plugs the injectors but its not going there is a device on air filter there are two pipes which tithe crosses on its one comes from throttle the other comes from gas tank which I place only throttle the car of comes weak but once I remove it I can start but slow down is normal please help me thank you

I just did mine yesterday, 10 minutes, longer to put it back in . Top bolt was a pain because of hoses etc . But not bad at all
I have this starter noise on a Toyota Corolla Dual VVT-i engine.
I think it is the starter gear did not go back soon enough and create a "gear"/"chain"/"grinding" noise. Only happened in cold on 1st or 2nd time 3rd time. After engine is warmed up, all ok.
Is it starter? hate to remove and it is not. Thanks in advance.

Too much unnecessary works! This model just 15' total . Upper access from top next to the dipstick .Lower bolt, access under car plus the power and ingition wires . Done !
