@@YiannisPagonis I payed 86 dollars for an aftermarket starter from Amazon, claims to be new but I believe it is remanufactured. We will see how well it holds up! for now it starts up just like it did before

Guess what, my next project would be starter. My starter makes some noise when it is cold. I think the gear did not go back fast enough due to cold weather. After car is warmed up, there no noise when start up.

Thank you so much for this video. I have 1.4 d4d diesel 2008 corolla. I've been dealing with oil leaks in my car for the last month. I noticed the oil leak late and it had spread to many places. I solved the oil leak but now I'm dealing with other problems. When I start my car, it sometimes makes a whirring noise.After start the sound stops and does not continue. I will disassemble the starter and check its gear. I hope the Starter is in the same place on my car.
If anyone has an idea about where this sound comes from when the car is starting, please share it with me!!! Thank you very much.
Sometimes a worn-out water pump or power steering pump or fuel pump will make a whirring noise. Sometimes a worn serpentine belt will too. Or, could be that the heater/AC fan needs replacing because its bearings are worn out😊

Why in this video you don't remove the intake manifold but in the other video of doing the exact same job you do?
Because there are 2 ways to remove the starter, depending on the case, that is, if you can not in the first way then proceed to the second.
I'm amazed at how clean you engine bay is. How do you keep it so clean? I'd like to see a video about that.
My friend, happy new year to you. The engine bay of my car is clean for the simple reason that my engine has no oil or antifreeze leaks. What I do is I often clean the plastic and metal parts of the engine with a cleaning polish I use for the plastic parts inside my car. I do not do anything special, I stand out. For powders I use a soft cotton cloth. And do not forget that I do the maintenance of my car myself with special care and attention. Thank's.
He said he does maintenance on all the parts he must make sure everything is clean then.

Corolla 1.6 M.MT. (αυτόματο)16 ΧΡΟΝΙΑ ακριβως (14-11-2007 / 13-11-2023 ) 😜 μου χάλασε η μιζα ! Με 67€ αλλαγη καρβουνάκια στην Αντιπροσωπεία. Ποσο θα αντέξει ? κανείς δεν ξέρει ! 😉
Τα καινούργια καρβουνάκια σίγουρα θα κρατήσουν αρκετά χρόνια αλλά το θέμα είναι για τα υπόλοιπα μέρη της μίζας. Η ερώτηση μου είναι η εξής: έγινε εσωτερικός καθαρισμός της μίζας από βρωμιές και καρβουνίλα και τοποθετήθηκε ειδικό γράσο στα κινούμενα μέρη της μίζας;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;
@@YiannisPagonis Ο τεχνικος (αντιπροσωπεία TOYOTA) αν ειναι ''νοικοκύρης'' σαν εσένα πρέπει να τα εκανε. Θα τον ρωτήσω. Γι' αυτό έψαξα και ειδα το Video σου.
@@lakisdj Βέβαια αυτός (ο τεχνικός) θα σου πει ότι η αποσυναρμολόγηση, ο καθαρισμός αλλά και η τοποθέτηση του γράσου είναι μια έξτρα εργασία (η οποία χρεώνεται) και πρέπει να την ζητήσεις εσύ ο ίδιος! Εγώ πάντως την καθάρισα για καθαρά προληπτικούς λόγους συντήρησης και πραγματικά έβγαλε πάρα μα πάρα πολύ βρωμιά και καρβουνίλα και έτσι έγινε σαν καινούργια!

@@YiannisPagonis Δουλειά του καθε τεχνικού ειναι να εενημερώνουν τον πελάτη για τις περαιτέρω εργασιες και το κόστος, και αν του δώσει εντολή ο πελάτης να κανει τον καθαρισμο. Δεν γνωρίζει ο καθε πελάτης της τεχνικές λεπτομέρειες.
