DISCLAIMER: every book that made this list is legendary in its own way. The book has to be since our criteria is that it jas sold 5M+ copies OR 10k+ Amazon reviews. This list is 100% my personal opinion, meaning we will probably disagree on a few. Totally cool! That said I hope you walk away from this vid with a few "a-has" and maybe even a new book to read. I'm surprised you haven't read any of Dr.Myles Munroe's books
I'd like you to check "Mindset Secrets for Winning: How to Bring Personal Power to Everything You Do" by Mark Minervini who is a best selling author for trading books.
Continue doing what you do. You are changing people's lives, and I can be a testimonial.
I haven't watched the video yet because I put it on my saved later, but I would add *blink by Malcolm gladwell*. It changed my perspective on how to correlate data to logic to stories.
My one question to the audience is this...
The same question I ask to every internet life coach, PUA, dating coach, witch doctor, whether they are male or female.
From the lofty Andrew Tate to the lowley Sandman.
Why aren't THEY happily married or in a long-term loving relationship with a high quality partner and have kids?
Living by example.
Do your own research virtually EVERY SINGLE ONE, be it male or female is single.
Let me know.....
Peace x
I'd put Atomic Habits on the god tier. It's life-changing when you put success on autopilot.
Damn
Does it show healthy routines and lifestyles that Rich people live with to make life a bit more refreshing, or just “Alpha male” this “Beta male” that type of mindset?
I was wondering after reading this book: Clear tells to incorporate new habits into our daily life, so they become sub conscious and don't take up our thinking brains space. What is the benefit of having more space in your thinking mind? What to do with that new space?
I totally agree
seriously? I was so disappointed when I was reading it. Everything written there was a bunch of facts and tips I already knew. Most of them I have already discovered on my own at like 12 and I thought they're obvious things everyone figures out/knows. I'm not hating on the book/author because I was genuinely excited when I bought it but ended up so disappointed.
So, I've been reading this retirement book that my brother lent me. It's pretty informative, talking about different investment strategies and all that.
Oh yeah? I've been meaning to dive into some retirement planning myself. Any good tips from the book?
Well, it's got some solid advice on things like budgeting, saving, and diversifying investments. But you know what it keeps emphasizing? The importance of consulting a financial adviser.
Apparently, a good financial adviser can help you navigate the complexities of retirement planning, tailor strategies to your specific goals, and keep you on track with your financial objectives.
Makes sense. I guess there's a lot more to retirement planning than just picking up a book and following generic advice.
Definitely. Plus, a financial adviser can provide personalized insights based on your individual circumstances and help you anticipate and mitigate potential risks. look up Angela Lynn Schilling on the web.

@@moodvisions yup these guys are everywhere.. so annoying!! 😩😒
I think the benefit of the 48 Laws of Power wasn't learning these rules to use on others, but recognizing when others are using them on me. I usually tend to be naïve in the sense of assuming everyone is genuine, but in a space like corporate America, this book was a good reminder that the world can be tough even though on the surface everyone is a "family" where you work. Also, if you love history, the book is 80% historical references. I loved the video man, thank you
This is mentioned pretty directly in the opening notes of the 48 laws if I remember right. It is more effective as a way to establish awareness and to make dealing with manipulative people more direct.
@@dcmelos71 sounds like it gets you in a pretty bad space of mind when interacting with others tho. Sounds like youd go insane trying to point out when one person is using the laws against you.
Exactly. I disagree with Clark on this one because you can only have genuine relationships with genuine people. 48 laws helped me a lot to deal with a lot of toxic people at work ( hospital ). You can get absolutely destroyed by some people if you're seen as nice or naive
@@user-bm1qu7wt9wnot really, the book teaches you with stories. All of these stories take place in politics, higher courts, risky occupations, upper echelon type stuff. It's not about everyday events like getting to know someone. Not to mention law 48
Bro said you won't be yourself after using 48 laws of power but somehow it is different from "how to win friends"?? What is he on to?
As someone who read most of the books I'd say that ranking them is really subjective and people that just have started reading self improvement books shouldn't take the tier of these books mentioned into consideration. All of them are fantastic legendary books. I would suggest to someone starting their self improvement journey to pick a book that resonates with their current situation, e.g. if you currently don't have financial problems - don't read rich dad poor dad, however, if you do feel like you have problems accepting your past - rather read the power of now. His ranking of those books has literally zero to do with how helpful they are to YOU in YOUR situation under YOUR circumstances. A book he ranked S tier could be a D to you and vice versa.
Also always make sure to implement relevant tips given in a book to truly get the most out of it. After all, having the knowledge and taking action are two different things :)

:>
Smart man
this is the way to pick books sir!
except for the 48 Law of Power unless you are politician or busniessman who have competition.
I'm with your approach! great video and kudos to Clark for an almost perfect list
One more book which i wanted to recommend was: so good they can't ignore you. Everyone talks about achieving goals, but what if you can't find goals? I had no passion of my own, until i read this book. It focuses on cultivating love for a job rather than finding the "right job". It breaks so many detrimental misconceptions that society teaches us and honestly i recommend it for anyone who wants a fulfilling and awesome career.
I read it a few months ago. At around the middle of the book it became heavy to read and extremely repetitive.
What's the book ?
whats the book?

Wow i needed that book please tell me the title
"Leaders are readers."
14 Books: Think & Grow Rich, The Secret, The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F, Rich Dad Poor Dad, Atomic Habits, How To Win Friends & Influence People, 48 Laws of Power, The Alchemist, The 7 Habits Of Highly Effective People, Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself (alternatively Becoming Supernatural) The 4 Agreements, The Untethered Soul, The Power of Now, Unlimited Power.
Searching 🔎 comment to take Screenshot... Thank you bro
thankyouuuu
Thanks🙏🏽
What was the “S-Tier”
The Alchemist and The Power of Now are amongst my favorite books of all time. But I think how you rank these books are obviously subjective to where you are in your journey. Some people are wanting more spiritual development while others may be trying to improve their finances or habits.
The Power of Now is what hit home and totally started transforming my life, on my journey
I F**king Love the Alchemist I’ve read it probably 10 times already it’s a great read 😌
Finish the Alchemist in a night 😂
Finances are spiritual. Everything is. Until this is realized, spiritual books will seem rather inapplicable to practical life.
**Maktub**
I love Atomic Habits AND I also love Elizabeth Filips perspective on it. It’s important to identify what works best for you and not go too overboard on routine. I experienced a process of profound routine that created a lot of productivity followed by profound burnout. So finding the balance between accountability and sustainability is very important.
Great video! I've downloaded several of these books to check out. My one quibble is about 7 Habits. The big idea is *starting by identifying your values* and determining what's important based on that -- and then doing ongoing assessments to make sure you're staying in alignment. The quadrants have far less meaning without first defining what is important to you.
The Power of Now completely shifted my perspective of life and I've lived totally different life after I read it. So for me it holds special number 1 place :)
same man this give me a new vision of all aspects of my previous negativity
Who wrote it?
I was just going to comment that same for me
@@drizzleguiao8645 eckart tolle
Eckart Tolle is great, it definitely changed me for the better
I would personally also mention "The Six Pillar Of Self-Esteem". Having somewhat of a clear picture of how a confident person would feel and think about oneself, helped me aspiring the right thing, thus getting there (closer).
Where would you place this on the list
Thank you for your recommendation I will read the book
That book is gold, not mentioned enough I dont know why, but really helps you out. Probably the most "That's it" book I've ever read
That is my ultimate self-help book! I love the 30 week long homework that the book offers for your inner work. Brilliant!
I listened to the power of now while I was doing housekeeping. I feel like that moment really made me change my perspective. I remember the exact house I was in, old wooden and gorgeous honestly, and I went from tired when I went in, to coming out feeling incredibly satisfied. I took my time feeling the rag under my hands as I wiped the counters, vacuuming was almost therapeutic, and I realized what a blessing I was to someone else. Even though they were paying me, I switched to the mindset of “I’m doing a service” and it was incredibly satisfying after that. Definitely what I needed at that point in my life when I felt low about myself
A book that is more characterized as philosophical but has immensely great lessons is “Meditations” by Marcus Aurelius, Gregory Hayes translation. It is pretty much a personal journal written by one of the last great emperors of Rome. It has such great tips on how to approach life neutrally and through logic. How to accept things for what they are, even if they are bad. How to use the bad things that happen in your life as fuel to make yourself a better person. Etc.
Nice, I have the Gregory Hayes translation. Why is that better?
Is it storytelling or like tons of bullet points?
bulletpoints mostly@@Morai_Eee
Thank you! I've been looking for such a tier list!
Thank you for your great videos!
I have learned so much from them ☺️🙏🏻
I remember as a child in the 50s, seeing my parents take off to a night course from Dale Carnegie at UC Berkeley. I think the course lasted between 6 and 8 weeks and they became devout fans of his teachings. Another speaker they loved was Napoleon Hill. And of course , Jim Rohan. ( his quote : “Either you run the day or the day runs you” one of my favorites)
My parents were Stanford graduates with honors and believed deeply in constantly learning how to improve themselves, their health, life and making the world a better place for others.
Thank you again for your enlightened videos!
I read at least 4 books a week and love what you shared about listening to audio books while working on a puzzle. Such a great idea and I’m sure very therapeutic!
Wow 😳 four books a week
Been a subscriber for years to your channel. Always loved your book reviews. Hands down in my opinion this is your best. The tier list is great to see.
Would enjoy if you did a tier list for financial/money book recommendations.
Great video! I appreciate you getting straight to the point and giving a detailed yet short synopsis of each book. Keep these coming!
Can't Hurt Me is definitely the S+ Tier
Thanks for sharing Clark!
Amazing video. Super fun to watch and learn
How to Win Friends and Influence People has kind of an awkward title by modern usage, but the idea and advice in it will genuinely make you a better human being, and people will like you because you are better. It’s all about how to be sincere, kind, and genuinely interested in others. God Tier indeed!
Interesting thank you
This is a great video. I had forgotten about some of these books because they're classics. It's making me think about compiling my own list with a more diverse list of authors that aligns with my life experience.
I just finished "How To Win Friends & Influence People" and it was great. Atomic Habits also resonates with me a lot. I actually really like The 4 Agreements as well. One book I also recently finished that really reeled me in from start to finish is "The World's Greatest Salesman".
There are so many great books out there in self development, you really can't go wrong. I'm definitely gonna get Tony Robbins "Unlimited Power"- you have it up there and that's one I haven't read and I feel it's gonna get me hooked.
Bless.
I enjoyed this video and just found your channel. Personally, The Alchemist would be a god tier for me. I hesitate to put anything on “god tier”, but it contained a message at a time in my life when the other books couldn’t have reached to me. Just goes to show how different we are all! I hope somebody reading this will give it a try though! 😊
You’re providing so much value with your channel holy shit. As a nutrition coach I aspire to give people as much value for free as you do man!
🙌🙌
What would be your most essential advice for long-term healthy nutrition?
Do you have experience with people who are making a health transformation?
Thanks for the video and book suggestions.
More of these please!
For me, the book Power was quite enlightening. It was not useful in my life, but it allowed me to understand local politicians and community leaders. Many if not most of them follow the precepts of the book to some extent, because to them, life is a 0 sum game.
I enjoyed this, it helped. Thanks! just beginning my journey as a nurse coach. It’s so exciting to be able to help people…. Really help people.
congratulations! yes, it is next level when we are working in our niche, not because it's the "right" niche or the best niche but because it uses our innate and learned gifts. Really excited for your journey, thanks for sharing
So happy for you! 😊🙌
Love this vid Clark. I am a life learner and teacher. I appreciate your time and research. You Sharpen my tools exponentially
Having a hard time here. 7 Habits - solid, practical, possibly life-changing advice throughout. The Secret - metaphysical woo. Somehow the woo wins over a solid actionable plan? Puts the entire perspective of the list into serious doubt.
Great idea for a video! Tony Robbins also changed my life… I laughed at him until I read his book and it certainly humbled me.
This is an inspiring list. Because of your enthusiasm about Atomic Habits I have already bought a copy and I am not halfway through the video. I have to ask you a simple question. Why such a low ranking of 7 Habits of Highly Effective People?
I agree with you that it is not as easy to digest 7 Habits as you can some newer books, but that’s the point of the book. 7 Habits teaches the character ethic of being effective with people and efficient with finishing tasks, and it’s covers both in depth. This one book is multiple books, and each habit could easily be studied individually. For example Habit 5 “Seek first to understand then be understood” applies to most areas of my life. It is my answer to how I became a better husband, father, businessman or mentor?
What’s most impressive to me is Covey walked his talk. Not only did he sell millions of books all around the world he was also an accomplishment professor whose ideas where so sought after that large companies asked Covey to coach them. Unlike Napoleon Hill, Covey died a wealthy man owning a success book franchise, planner business and public speaking company to name a few. He lived out his principles in real life, possibly better than any of the other authors on this list. I read this book once a year, and have been doing so for over a decade. This book is better described as a manual that reads differently depending upon where you are in your life. It is substance over style, and principles over platitudes.
Sir, I ask that you reconsider.
I second this fantastically well thought out comment. 👍
This comment made me so happy! I feel the same way as you. That book has guided my life and I think it’s the best book on this list.
It’s funny how in the beginning of 7 habits it talks about other self-improvement books compared to the character ethic. I was hoping this video would call that out.
I was scrolling down looking for such comment. Totally agree. This book belongs same or higher tier then "How to win friends.."
That book is, in my opinion, a solid base for self-improvements
true that book is the best self help book imo
Thank you for this ranking, Clark 🙏🏻🌸 I found it very helpful 🌟
He Clark many thanks for the recommendations. Specially the book breaking the habit of being yourself is helping me a ton
Fantastic share, Clark!

This was such a great video. I have a few of those books and I can’t wait to pick up the copies of the other books mentioned!
starting the list with a classic, love your content
I've read a lot of these books cover to cover as well and honestly, you nailed the main points really well! Nice structured video and tier list
🔥🔥🔥
God tier- How to win friends & influence people, unlimited power
Amazing- Atomic Habits, The subtle art of not giving a f*ck, untethered soul
Great- rich dad poor dad, secret, breaking the habit of being yourself
Good- think & grow rich, 4 agreements, the power of now
Pass- 7 habits of highly effective people, Alchemist, Power
We can see the thumbnail 😂
Love this! Thanks for the great content.
Clark please do more of these type of videos these are so amazing and great to watch and absorb
You’ve given me a huge mental shift in the last 6 or so months since I found your channel, I wish I would have known about you sooner!! Highly contemplating signing up for your course, only reason I haven’t yet is simply for financial reasons. Saving up! Thank you for all you do Clark.
The Original edition of Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill is phenomenal - talks about the Law of Attraction in 1937!
Both The Secret and Think and Grow Rich were drawing from the Kybalion (1908) for the law of attraction. And this book was itself a crystalization of the New Thought movement. New Thought philosophy gave birth to the New Age movement and to the Christian Scientists. The law of attraction was in the air for some time.
The law of attraction is a belief as old as humanity. Hindu religion is based on that.
It’s been a while always great watching you💜💜 such great book reviews!!!
Love this! Well done 👍
Cant believe 7 habits is not a God Tier. That book changed my life.
Ya! I read it every year. Life changing book.
Same
Just the 1st habit completely change my life and help me in my work..
The point you made about "48 laws of power" is spot on,it trains you to be manipulative, narcissist. The thing is, it won't work for everybody,as you said, it will be successful while interacting with certain people, but in the end of the book(48th law),it says "be formless, like water" which means : don't act directly with the way you're told to(by parents, elders and etc),most importantly the book itself, Robert Greene stated it's laws were basically a list made up from the past events in history, not everything repeat itself, the sentence which is "be formless" means : act specifically for the each situation,be a chameleon, there's no laws in reality, act the way which you're supposed act, that's the main topic of the book, before understanding the meaning of the book,i was acting the way book told me to, directly, which lead to lot of arguments, even lost my relationship with friends,so that's a reminder
"Be like water,my friend"
Bruce Lee
@@LiquidfirePUA Robert Greene definitely got the idiom from Bruce Lee
Isn't that the case with all of the mentioned books? And self-help books in general? Not everything told in those books are going to be applicable to all of its prescribed scenarios. I see the Power book more as a set of cautionary tips, or list of defensive measures in order to fortify yourself from being manipulated, esp by people in power. But also, when you yourself are in a position of power, knowing those laws can help you maintain it without being corrupted, and also to combat all assaults from competition.
The worldview it offers might be problematic for us to discuss in public and ethically questionable, but when the world runs with such rules despite your disagreements about it, isn't it rather wise to be aware of them to defend yourself, as well as to use it wisely?
I see it as a very brave compilation by RG and to face the backlash, when in fact, given the humongous numbers, it is very much needed.
Life changing stuff here Clark, subbing.
I love your channel! Keep it going!!!
I have read most of those books. In the middle of 'Atomic Habits' right now. My favourite out of this list would have to be 'The Untethered Soul'. Great list! Would love you see you do a list of the most under rated self improvement books. You know, those little gems that you come across that you haven't heard of before but really spark something in you.
Great idea!
A book that is certainly underrated is One, No One, and a Hundred Thousand by Pirandello 🔥🔥
Was surprised by where you put the Alchemist! That's a solid gold S Tier book for me!
Just discovered your channel a few days ago... new habit, watching a new vid each day!
Unreal video. Ive added a handful to my amazon Wishlist.
Clark it has been a true honor to have found your channel. Thank you for adding a new list of books to myself. If you have not read "How to Stop Worrying and Start Living" by Dale Carnegie. Their is a whole society of Dale Carnegie strategy to be a leader. He has a few other books I think they'll make you 3.0.
I read so many of these books before this video. No wonder I’m so hopeful and optimistic and on my way to rebuilding my life. Thanks for the video
Loved the video. I would like to see regular follow ups as you read more.
Sup Clark Thanks for the video
Have you read any Joseph Campbell? Seems like his life's work and research could be on this list.
& Dune (the book), "Fear is the mind killer I must not fear" is the opening of an epic story that poses so many wonderful questions back to self around risk, drive, and personal alchemy.
Thanks for the list, I might check them out after I finish reading my other book
This was a fun and informative video! I like this!
Even though I disagreed with some of the rankings, I really appreciate and enjoyed the video. At the end of the day it's all subjective!! For anyone wondering, I just finished "The Alchemist" today and I have to say it's my favorite book i've read so far. I don't want to put a limit on myself, or any other book, but I strongly believe it will be the best book I will ever read. I HIGHLY suggest you check it out, I finished it in a couple of hours, so it's not a huge time commitment. I'm buying a copy each for two of my friends for their birthdays.
This video was so good/helpful I had to watch it twice.
And If I could I would give It two thumbs up👍👍
Amazing video!
You just gain my subscribe , amazing video!
A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle is the best one by far. It's the greatest hits of ancient wisdom in modern vernacular. I loved the Power of Now, but I found A New Earth to have a better format. The ego may not like the books because it's constantly calling it out and there isn't a lot of food for thought. The ego doesn't see the book as a means to enhance itself, it sees it as it's end, thus the resistance and dismissal of the material.
This book changed my perspective on life and the way I view it.
I'm trying to pick 3 books to read during 2023. 2022 I read The Secret and it changed my life. I loved that book. After reading your comment I want to add A New Earth to my list. Thanks!
I respect your opinion, although I disagree with 48 laws of power.
I think the mistake many make when reading the book is trying to fit every life situation in one of the 48 scenarios.
The book is great at making you aware of power dynamics and how to deal with them in addition to personal experience and reasoning.
The necessity and accuracy of the book depends very heavily on the environment you are in. (A Very competitive business person for example will very likely find the book helpful and accurate, but for some others it just might never be relevant at all)
It also provides a very honest view on life that might not be pleasant for some but is very important for having a better understanding of how (a lot of / some) people think and behave.
I really liked the book.
Always love your book reviews. Really appreciate them :)
I also like the message of this book, my personal S tier.
the world is tough and we need to get some power to live here
Agreed. It's the type of book you need to be at the right part of your life to enjoy it and absorb it though
It’s a classic though one should always be cognizant they aren’t Just being calculated soulless creatures but for power dynamics this is top notch
Yes personally I think its up there with the S tier, It doesn’t necessarily mean you have to apply every single law in your life, it’s there to protect you and raise awareness. Some people find it uncomfortable since it has a cynic element based on the historical stories but Robert is a realist and it protects you from shady people.
Agreed
Hey Clark, awesome video mate! Just found your channel and really enjoyed your analysis on the books (I've read 6 of them)

Great video ❤️
I love the Compound Effect by Darren Hardy! 🎉
When I was in the Army I first encountered the self help Genre and it was a wild ride.
The most remarkable thing was I applied a few tips of "The Secret" whenever something unpleasant happened and more often than not it dissolved without me needing to take any action. I know this all went down by chance and there are no higher powers but the timing was indeed impressive.
I did that for a few weeks and in total maybe 7 times but ~5/7 times some miracle happened. :D
very interesting experience.
My all time favorite book though is Mastery by Robert Greene.
It's so damn inspiring and without all that Vodoo. :D With more years and more wins and more failures on my belt I more and more realise the importance of optimism(not naivity) and self believe(not ignorance). And this book delivers on that end as much as I ever saw anything do.
Love this video, think and grow rich, love that book soo much. I've not listened to secrets! Great content and love this. How to win friends was super life changing to me. Unlimite power okay I'm getting that one
