I had this figured quite awhile ago, but I just had to learn this again for the Sony A1. All of these setting work on the Sony A1. 👍
Your beautiful Desiree 😍
Thank you for this video 📹 ❤️
Thank you for this tutorial. I’m using the FX30 and time code output also has to be on to trigger both recording at the same time.

Thank you so much! I followed the Atomos video on the raw setup and it didn't show the Rec Control option and I couldn't get it to work. You saved me a lot of headaches.

I love your video. It would be great if you did one on Ninja v OS11 and EL ZONE. thanks
Thanks so much for the video. Simple things like this will make me pull my hair out and I don't have any to spare.
You are very welcome! Thanks for watching!
Thanks
This is perfect-my 14-year-old is in charge of starting the recording at my wedding on Saturday and this means he can hit the easy button on the a7 and leave the ninja well alone!!!
Awesome! I’m glad this helps you!
Nice!!!! Thank you!!
YESSSSS!!!!! Thank you for what you are doing. It's so rare to see a woman doing videos like this so - what you do influences other women to "see" themselves in this business.
Thank you so much!! You're right there aren't a lot of women doing videos like this and I want to show that we are here and can create great content.
Great video!
I have a question which you might know. Is it possible to see the Rec dot on the shinobi when recording on the sonya7siii?
I don't see it on my monitor and I tried all the different options (I think). Any idea?
thank you for the video. can we start recording from ninja v and record on both Camera and Ninja v?
If you start the recording from the Ninja V it will only record on the Ninja and not the camera. Unfortunately you can't trigger the recording from the Ninja to both camera and Ninja V.
@@DesireeRodriguez i need that option ) and when you trigger you can change the FPS on the camera , Ninja recording only 60fps , do you know how to fix it?
Very Nice!
Thank you so much
thanks so much for this! super helpful! quick question do you have a link to that little swivel/tilt mount you are using to connect the ninja V to the handle? I need one of those too!
Thank you! I sure do have a link for that monitor mount. Here it is amzn.to/3krcP5y
@@DesireeRodriguez thank you!
Very helpful! When both devices are triggered by the camera will this mean the Ninja will include gyro data as well?
Thank you!
Thank you thank you thank you!!!!
Fantastic. Another question if I may:
How can I save the framerate output from the Sony to a preset (the memory recall) so that, for example, if I select "2" it will switch the output settings to the Ninja at 60p as well as the file format of the camera itself?
I thought I had figured it out, but now both presets "1" and "1" both show 24p output rather than one at 60 and one at 24. THis makes it so when shooting at 4k 60 I have to go back into the yellow menu and switch it. I also have to unplug the cable each time because if I don't have it set to "HDMI Only" I cannot see my A7S III screen.
Thanks in advance if you can offer any assistance.
Great tutorial!
Can this work with a Canon M50 Mark ll
youre the best!
Thank you!
Another great Video. Just one thing that may be obvious, is that you need the Ninja plugged in and switched on for the options to show up on the Camera. I know I know pretty obvious but had me stumped for awhile. Yours embarrassed :) keep up the videos .. and I agree with others .. you should have WAY more views and subscribers than you have .. so hopefully you will get what you deserve in time !!
Thank you so much!
Clear thx
Bang on point. Thumbs up for this video. Can you also please talk about the profile settings ? How do I get On camera profile recorded on ninja v eg: s-cinetone
Thanks for the suggestion! I can cover that in a future video.
@@DesireeRodriguez eagerly waiting for this video now

Hi can you tell me how to set up sony a6400 to the Ninja v triggering from camera for record..
so helpful and clear, you're a lifesaver :') it's nice to not have someone like... mansplain it to me as well lol definitely subscribing for more as I refine my commercial camera skills! thanks so much!!!
Thank you for this video! Question, how do you get the Ninja to record audio without an external mic. I’m new to this lol. I shoot on the Sony a7iii
If you don't have an external mic you can record audio to the Ninja through the camera's internal mic. When you connect the HDMI from the camera to the Ninja it will record the camera's audio. Go into the audio settings on the Ninja and make sure the REC button is turned on for the audio channel that is for the HDMI cable. If it's not turned on it won't record the camera's audio.
Big Ups, Des! (subscribed) What handle is that with the start/stop? I have a Smallrig right-handed wood grip with a button, but would like something ambidextrous for a smaller walking rig.
Thanks
Thank you so much! The handle is from Kondor Blue. I bought the cage and the handle from them together but they also sell the handle on its own.
Hi, thank a lot!! I have seen that some A7sIII users have rec light on their cameras. I thought that with the update that would be enabled but no. Does anyone know how to activate it?
Thanks.
Hello and thanx. It solved my problem with 4K RAW output.
But does not work in 1080p. Pal.
I tried with no proxy - no internal recording but still does not trigger.
Still searching… if you have an idea 💡 happy new year
I'm so glad I found this video! I could not figure out how to get my a7S3 to trigger my Ninja V until watching your video. I also like the way you present the information and the simple to follow steps. I look forward to watching more content from you. Cheers!
Thank you so much!
Awesome, thank you! Just curious, does this method bypass the 30min record time on the Sony A7iii?
If you record only on the Ninja it will go past the 30 minute limit but I'm not completely sure if it will do it if you record to both the A7III and Ninja V at the same time.
@@DesireeRodriguez thanks for the reply, after much research I don’t think it bypasses it, but you are right if I only record on the Ninja it will go as long as the memory and battery last. Do you happen to know how good the quality will be if I only record in the ninja? Btw keep up the good work and reviews!
It will record whatever quality you have your camera set to so if you have it set at 1080 it will record at 1080. If you have it set to 4K it will record at 4K. Just note that the Ninja V can record footage up to 4K at 60fps.
Hi, great video Dessire :-) If I want to record simultaneously to SSD and SD card like on your video I have problem with the sreen on a7s3. The screen is black and I see only on ninja V. If I setup record only to ssd is normal sreen on both perfect. I don´t know whats wrong. Plese help.
Not sure why your screen goes black. You can check the viewfinder settings on the camera to see if it is switching to the eye piece instead of staying on the LCD screen when you plug it into the Ninja.
Hi weird question - what if I want the Red record border on the Ninja V, but only want to use it as a monitor and not also as a recorder? Will it still show me the red record border even if there is no SSD attached? I only want to record internally to my A7siii but I want the red record border on the Ninja. Thank you!
Thank you, i's very helpful.
I have a7iv. The one can record simultaneously in camera and to recorder.
But there are big different between two footages. Thay have different contrast, saturation and WB.
In ninja V proRes hq 422.
In camera xavc-i 4k 10 bit 4:2:2.
Do you have same situation with A7III?
Maybe there is a LUT in the Ninja V being applied to your footage. Usually the footage from the Ninja V matches the one from the camera when there isn't a LUT being applied.
@@DesireeRodriguez thank you. I have no lut in ninja,
I mutched to footages with low contact curve. Black point up, white point down.
But i was surprised with different.
Hello,I'm using the Ninja v with my sony fx3 but it's stop recording after one minute each time!.Do you know please how i can fix that ?
Saloy Desiree,
Thanks for this information, you save my life... 😂🤦🏻♂️
I also have the same problem with my second feelworld F6 plus monitor,
Is this method works with it too?
And thanks for All 🙏🙏🙏
Greeting from Morocco 🇲🇦 🙌
Glad I could help! I don't have a Feelworld monitor so I don't know if it works for sure with that monitor. The HDMI trigger feature on the camera should work if the monitor supports the camera.
Good video thanks! I have the shogun flame 7 as well as the ninja flame 7 and when i use it with my a7rii in 4k it uses the whole screen. But when I use the monitors with the a7siii the images on the monitor are much smaller. I can't figure out what i'm doing wrong!
That is strange. Have you tried checking the HDMI output settings on the a7S III to see if it's set to a smaller size?
