@Christian Plønd Nielsen 7Z Vestre Skole let's say they were superhumans who don't need oxygen, knowing that the closest place in the known universe that can possibly contain life is 4.2 light years away, traveling at mach 30 would take around 18000 years to travel 1 light year, so you would times 18000 whatever the number is by mach 30 and it would be around 650 million years to travel 1 light year, times that by 4.2 and you get around 2.6 billion years. Rough estimate is that it would take that long, now the fact that they manage to find a completely different reality where ladders are sentient would probably mean that somewhere along their travels they found a black hole or some anomaly that teleported them to that existence. Now the nearest black hole is within 27000 light years away so if we do the same estimate maths as earlier it would take them 17.5 quadrillion years to reach the one at the centre of our galaxy. By that time it would have moved or died out so i would say they either came across a 1 in 9 to the power of 99999999 chance of coming across that at any given time within their journey.
So basically they are either gods or immortal super beings with a luck x 1 billion enhancement or something along those lines.

Actually, (in my case at least) it didn't affect me, and I have intense arachnophobia. It's mostly the movement of their legs and faces that set me off, but animated ones don't affect me.
