Not gonna lie, I always feel like a bad content creator because I keep recommending the same products over and over again 😂😂 when I like something I tend to stick with it for the long run, so 95% of the products I talk about on this channel are all old releases that I've been using for a long time.
The original retail price of the Isa Knox sunscreen is 27000 KRW (around $20) for 70ml in Korea, unfortunately some international websites resell it at a much higher price 😔 The resell prices are decided by the websites, not the brands.
I’m LOVING the ISA KNOX spf you recommended. I know HERA sun mates laportes is probably more popular in Korea, but the water resistant ISA KNOX fragrance isn’t as irritating to my sensitive skin. Thank you for your recommendations!
So happy to hear it! The Extreme Sun Fluid is a tragically overlooked gem outside of Korea and I will keep praising it on this channel until it becomes an international hit 😂
@@OdileMonodTheMonodist you are correct! And I’m extremely grateful I found it in a set with full size and travel size bottles on Stylevana. You can’t beat that!
I did exactly the same - got the double pack from stylevana and went off to a hot place for holidays with it and my fingers crossed - it’s a GEM. Super effective but sooooo lightweight fast absorbing and pleasant!! A hit
Aside from the fact that you're so adorable at the end when you mention the Isa Knox sunscreen, this video was super informative, thank you for all the hard work Odile! (and I loved that you mentioned that it can be hard for dry skin type to have a minimalist skincare routine... because I struggle with this a little, particularly in the drier/colder months).
LG really seems to be stepping up their sunscreen game ! TFS' Super Perfect Tone Up sunscreen is the only tone up sunscreen I've tried that doesn't settle into my smile lines and forehead creases as quickly as other sunscreens . It's certainly my favourite for no foundation makeup days .
A whole new batch of products to review 😍 already tried the CNP but I have got to try out the rest! And I loved the mention of Isa Knox 🤣 it is truly incredible
Odile, thank you for very useful information. Still hoping that you can review Korean makeup. Especially products with SPF like foundation, concealer, lipstick, powder.
Thank you! All my previous videos on makeup flopped really hard so I thought my audience didn't have any interest in makeup😂, but lately I've been getting lots of requests like yours so I'll definitely start covering more makeup! Thank you for the input.
Thank you so much for this great video, Odile! The History of Whoo sales rep in my city made me buy the Fresh Sun Cream and I really do love it 💖 Even on my trip to colder/drier weather regions, this sunscreen is helping my skin stay hydrated. I looked up the ingredients list and it seems like this sunscreen is using all the latest and most stable UV filters. So much for hangbang skincare not integrating new technologies… 🙄 I do not know Nivea cream, so the scent doesn‘t throw me off 😆
Can you suggest sunscreens for oily skin? I live on hot & humid weather (Malaysia) and most sunscreens just melt on my skin after 30 minutes of wearing them. We sweats like crazy! Currently using Allie UV gel just for the waterproof properties.
Great video ...i will check up to pick a perfecr new sunscreen for our canadien winter...where the sun with the bright snow 😁😁♥️can burn your skin for real 😁
Do you have any suggestions that are free from essential oils/essential oil derivatives? Fragrance is ok though, but my skin just can't tolerate essential oils.
I am new to your channel, Could you make an Video about worth and useless incis? There was snail, ceramide, peptides in all variants, collagen, low molecular hyaluron, egf, probiotics and so on. Every year something new. But not all are worth, something is useless 🤔
Mineral sunscreens usually are not a great match for dry skin because they have a tendency to dry out skin a lot and to highlight flakes. The only mineral sunscreen I find tolerable is Dr.G's Green Mild Up Sun+ (I have a complete guide on Dr.G sunscreens on my channel).
I don't know, but Odile's recent videos all seem like commercials. For example, this video, it's probably sponsored by LG H&H (surprisingly makes 4 of the 5 named sunscreens) while there was another video Odile raves about Dr G (and the entire line). Not sure she's unbiased anymore...
I know you're probably used to people on this platform finding different "holy grails" every other week but having consistent taste =/= having a hidden "agenda". I also never "raved" about Dr.G sunscreens? I made a video where I explained the differences among all their sunscreens because they're popular sunscreens in Korea and I thought it would be useful to have a comparison video highlighting the pros and cons of each, so that the person watching could use it as a guide to decide if there was a sunscreen in their range that suited their skin needs. And while I do find them objectively good sunscreens, most of them don't even suit my skin type (I hinted at this multiple times in that video). With all due respect, the fact that you don't understand the difference between a product guide and a list of personal favourites is not my problem. I bought all the sunscreens included in this video with my own money and yes, I think LG launched some impressive sunscreens this year, so what? CZcams is full of people raving about nearly identical variations of the same Kolmar formula and yet I'm the only one who's not allowed to have consistent taste? In case you didn't notice, majority of these sunscreens are not available outside of Korea, so even if I managed to persuade someone to buy them, it would be nearly impossible for them to do so without using a proxy service from Korea. Since you have a such a great business acumen, please explain what do you think LG would gain from this "undisclosed sponsorship", given that most viewers won't even be able to buy the products? Cookie points? If you genuinely think I'm running this channel with a hidden agenda, you're more than welcome to unsubscribe anytime, but I'm not gonna sit here and let you make groundless allegations about me when I have always run this channel with the utmost transparency.
@@OdileMonodTheMonodist I do love your content, I'm saying that the recent trend of your content seems to be moving to brand specific episodes, which was a drastic departure from your previous videos. There is nothing wrong with an overwhelming preference for LG formulations over Kolmar's, an individual's preferences are never to be faulted. I'm just surprised that the sunscreen that you mentioned in another video being your favourite is stuck in the middle of the 5. I like to watch your videos with the take that you're one of the few truly independent content creators, which was why I really am happy to be corrected on my perception. It is good to know that you're still neutral. No offence intended, apologies for any unintentional attacks perceived.
Odlie, thank you so much for another wonderful and informative video. I have tried the O Hui one. Love the application and feel on my skin. But after 15 min or so my pores go wide open and my skin looks so shiny. Wonder if it's the formula or the alcohol.
Sorry to hear it didn't work for you 😥 it's interesting to see how subjective these things are, I had the complete opposite experience with the O Hui sunscreen, I find that the velvet finish works wonders to minimise pores and smooth skin texture but it's also true that I never personally had any issue with alcohol in sunscreens so that might explain the different experiences!
For daily use, it's perfectly fine. I wear daily sunscreens mostly in an indoor setting away from direct sunlight so a PA+++ is enough. For long hours of direct sun exposure of course PA++++ is preferable!
Hahaha I love that little mention of Isa Knox at the end 😄. New products are fun, but it's hard to beat an old favourite 😌.

I just wished it wasn’t so expensive. I’d like to try it. They probably had more customers if they made the hurdle a bit lower, travel size or such.

Also, thank you for discussing fragrance for each product. That is so helpful for those of us with sensitive skin.
My goodness, i haven’t heard of any of these sunscreens! Thank you Odile, for always keeping us so informed.
Pleasure is all mine! Thank you for the support 🙏❤️

Right? I still remember 6/7 years ago that most of my sunscreens were from Amorepacific, but I genuinely find LG upped their game in recent years.
The fact that I’ve gotten 4/6 of these based on your recommendations already…😂 and the isa Knox is on its way to me!!
You have great taste then 😎🤣

Love love all your videos ❤
Thank you 🥰
Saving this video so I have a list to look through when I'm ready to get new sunscreens.
Thank you 🙏
Can you please recommend a sunscreen that doesn't contain essential oils? I have very sensitive rosacea prone skin
Great info!!! Thank you.

Great video with substance and detail. Much appreciated. Thank you for all your efforts. Grazie mille!
Pleasure is all mine! Thank you for the support, it means a lot 🙏❤️
More products to add to my "to-try" list ❤👏
😂😂 Thank you!
Thanks Odile! Great video. I'm currently enjoying the physiogel on per your recommendation. And I agree on the history of whoo scent!
Thank you for the trust 🙏

I have a separate video just on waterproof sunscreens! The one that I'd recommend the most for oily skin is the Outdoor Fluid Sun by CNP Laboratory
Thanks, you are the best !🥳

Hi, Odile. How about making a video about you, your childhood, hobbies, how you got to this job, places you like to travel to, etc.? Thanks
OMG DON’T KNOW WHICH ONE TO BUY, I bought the Isa Nox last week, waiting for it to come to the US
❤️❤️ I hope it will live up to expectations, it's still my favourite Korean sunscreen ever, I repurchase it at least twice every year 😂
You're so pretty.

No? What part of "I'm not personally or professionally associated with any of the brands mentioned in this video" was not clear?
